      I see from Device manager that W10 has installed a driver for my Samsung TV, it arleady has it down as an audio end point and a display device but now it has decided it is also Multi Media device and installed a driver for that too.

      What possible use could it be ?

        Possibly as a wireless / network display. If you’ve connected some media to it, maybe by plugging in a USB drive, it’s now acting as a media server?

          That’s what I wondered, unless it’s capable of streaming? There are some satellite receivers I know of that can do this.
