I have nothing against powerbanks BUT do carefully read up on their limitations.  If they do not EXPLICITLY say they can be used and charged simultaneously then assume that they should NEVER be used and charged at the same time. Also never leave a powerbank charging overnight. Read up on them – never overcharge and never run them flat. Also make sure they have some sort of controller to ensure they are not charged at too fast a rate.

While many powerbanks are perectly safe, others are a fire-bomb waiting to go off if they get a bit of abuse.?

Although you will not find them in powerbanks among the most dangerous are the ‘soft’ Li-poly packs you get in the RC world. Be very careful with these.
