A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around, looking for valuables when a voice in the dark said,
‘Jesus knows you’re here.’
He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze. When he heard nothing more, after a bit, he shook his head and continued.
Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard
This photo illustrates a burglary or thief breaking into a home at night through a back door View from inside the residence
‘Jesus is watching you.’
Freaked out, he shined his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice.
Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.
‘ Did you say that?’ he hissed at the parrot?
‘Yep’, the parrot confessed, then squawked, ‘I’m just trying to warn you “that he is watching you.’
The burglar relaxed. ‘Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?’
‘Moses,’ replied the bird.
‘Moses?’ the burglar laughed. ‘What kind of people would name a bird Moses?’
‘The kind of people that would name a Rottweiler Jesus.’--

An Irish man went to confession in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church ..
‘Father’, he confessed, ‘ it been one month now since my last confession…
I was intimate with Fanny Green twice last month ..’
The priest told the sinner, ‘You are forgiven .. Go out and say three Hail Mary’s ..’
Soon thereafter, Another Irish man entered the confessional
‘Father, it has been two months since my last confession. I’ve had sex with Fanny Green twice a week for the past two months ..’
This time, the priest questioned, ‘Who IS this Fanny Green .. ?’
‘A new woman in the neighbourhood father, he replied. …
‘Very well’, sighed the priest .. Go and say ten Hail Mary’s’ ..
At mass the next morning, as the priest prepared to deliver the sermon, a tall, Voluptuous, drop-dead gorgeous Redheaded woman entered the sanctuary ..
The eyes of every man in the church fell upon her as she slowly sashayed up the aisle and sat down right in front of the priest ..
Her dress was green and very short, and she wore matching shiny emerald-green shoes ..
The priest and the altar boy gasped as the woman in the green dress and matching green shoes sat with her legs spread slightly apart, but just enough to realize she wasn’t wearing any underwear.
The priest turned to the Altar boy and whispered, ‘Is That Fanny Green …?’
The bug-eyed altar boy couldn’t believe his ears but managed to calmly reply,‘No Father, I think it’s just a Reflection from her shoes’ …!!’--

Ok, as we are into jokes 🙂
Podraig is walking past the barn, spots Shamus dressed as a Chippendale gyrating around a large Massey Ferguson
“What the heck are yuse up to Shamus” he says
Shamus, red faced and perspiring.
” I have a fierce lust upon me fer that new barmaid, but she doesn’t seem to notice me at all.
I went to the doctor to get some advice, and he told me to try doing something sexy to a tractor”--

Having been unsuccessful in my efforts to boot from an NVMe drive on an ancient Gigabyte motherboard, I retired it & for the last 6 months have been happily using a refurbished (so they say) Dell Optiplex 3050 SFF. They come in 3 formats, micro, SFF & desktop so check the format has the ports you require.
Mine cost just over £100 for an i5 6500 & 8GB RAM. Less than £20 to add another 8GB provided the 8GB was one stick & not 2 x 4GB.
Triple boot Windows 8.1, 10 & 11 from 2 NVMe drives – the 2nd NVMe being in a PCIe adaptor. The SFF version can house a separate 3.5″ HDD but an £8 adaptor from Ebay allows a 2.5″ drive to be used.
Dave has previously posted about some small HP desktops in his possession.

I had a similar problem with a Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H motherboard.
It was in a Zalman media centre running Windows 7, & was given to me with an unknown problem.
Turned it on, used it for a couple of days without any problem, then upgraded to Windows 10.
It ran fine for a couple of weeks, then it died. Not a beep. It was dead for a few weeks then one morning it beeped tried to boot, then went dead again. The next morning it beeped & tried to start several times & eventually booted. All this without any user intervention.
Despite asking several knowledgeable people & posting on several forums the consensus was that the motherboard was waiting for an input from the OS (Windows 10).
The OS was changed to Windows 8.1 & has now worked flawlessly for several years. Not much use to you other than the few times that I have heard of similar problems they are all with Gigabyte motherboards.
I have never had to use a file recovery programme in anger but TestDisk & PhotoRec freewares come highly recommended.
Test Disk for partition recovery & PhotoRec for files – both available from the link

Not wanting to prejudice your sale but they would be no good for me either. I can only tell they are not right when they are really bad. As an ex choirboy, Halleluja Chorus, Te Deum, Magnificat, Nymphs & Shepherds etc I would have thought that I really ought to be able to tell.
My speakers are Richer Sounds RS3 bookshelf speakers bought from their shop at London Bridge Walk back in 1980 for £49.
I also made a pair of floor standing triangular speakers by following a magazine article. Travelled up to Wilmslow Audio by train from Oxford to get the speakers & crossovers. They lasted well until a mate cajoled me into lending them to him for his wedding reception & blew them up.
IIRC, Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd used to be the de facto test record.

I thought this was going to be a post about the Antikythera Mechanism which has been puzzling scientists for years.
I didn’t realise, until I looked it up, that scientists at University College London used computer modelling to reconstruct the missing pieces so now they think they have a complete device – a hand powered orrery which has been described as the first example of an ancient analogue computer.

Winamp 5.9
Following on from the beta of Winamp 5.8 in 2018 version 5.9 is now available to download which includes support for Windows 11.
Versions 2 & 5 can be updated by installing over the top but version 3 needs to be uninstalled before installing 5.9.

Caddy for the 3050 SFF, or rather 3.5″ to 2.5″ bay converter was £8.50 & it holds 2 x 2.5″ drives. The problem is there are not enough SATA ports so would have to disconnect the DVD drive if I wanted to use 2 drives.
