      A recent recommendation for the old Windows Movie Maker was Kdenlive

      https://kdenlive.org/

      My freeware lists are still available. DVD 1 or DVD2 – remember they are lists not recommendations.

        What you haven’t done is told us the size of each file.

        Each file could be sent separately. Photos can be easily resized.

        The report could be sent as a text file or even included in the body of the email.

        Lots of possibilities when we have more information. 🙂

          Perhaps this is what the Cubans have been using to deafen foreign diplomats.

            Perhaps I exagerated when I said the gable end. It’s the centre section about 4 feet wide & 2 feet tall. The system works quite well now that I’ve replaced the wooden blocks with linear roller bearings

            The fan is plugged into single portable solar panel which is positioned outside & orientated to face the sun. One point of note as to their sensitivity, if a bird flies between the panel & the sun, the fan slows & then speeds up again. I did think of building a rotating cradle to follow the sun but the benefits didn’t seem worth it.

            The panels are very light, basically a large PCB in an aluminium frame. It’s not their weight thats a problem but the lift they create when the wind gets underneath them. That’s why they have to be anchored down so well.

            Solar panels running under the FIT (Feed In Tariff) scheme are somewhat different. My 10 roof mounted panels are classed as a 2.1kw system. The maximum allowable size is 4kw. I get paid for everything that they produce, plus, rather than some free electric, a deemed export for what I might have used. My last quarterly payment, March to May, was just over £300. It’s less in winter with shorter days & a lower sun but could reach £400 for the summer quarter.

              I’m currently running the 2009 version of Windows Live Mail, Emclient (free version), Claws Mail & Thunderbird portable.

              Had to revert to WLM 2009 because the 2011 version no longer supported Usenet & it would not format replies correctly.

              Tried Mailbird, Pegasus & Sylpheed but uninstalled them for various reasons (which I can’t now remember).

                Random question (considering I’ve never owned one), why does the shed need a fan?

                If I had said workshop you might have thought that I had some sort of talent for making things. Well I do, but not to a professional standard.

                My ‘shed’ is a concrete sectional garage which, with it’s standard roof, is prone to condensation & so I changed it to twin wall clear polycarbonate. Great in winter with the wood burner roaring away, but hell in summer.

                In addition I have the gable end mounted on runners so that it can be pushed outwards to let out the hot air & it still gets too hot especially if there is no breeze.

                  Slightly off topic – I use a solar panel to run a 250mm 12v fan in my shed. The brighter the sun shines the faster the fan goes. Saves £s off my electric bill.

                    I have an unused router as supplied by TalkTalk, a Huawei HG 533.

                    Yours if you want it. I’ll even stump up for the postage as it’s for a good cause.

                    Either PM me your address or email me at hotmail dot com (preferred).

                    Over the years I have tried a number of different routers including BT Home Hubs & none have failed to connect to TalkTalk. It was only the very first connection that required any user input, all others connected automatically. HTH.

                        Kaspersky Free now available from the US site
                        https://usa.kaspersky.com/free-antivirus

                        “Note that it may not be offered as a localized version right now. This downloads a stub installer which downloads the main package when you run the installer. The package has a size of about 140 Megabytes.”

                        There have been criticisms about having to create an account & having to register – both are now optional.

                        Requires 920 MB of free disk space & .Net 4 or later.

                                Yes, my lists used to be on Google Docs as well as Box.net but Google kept chopping & changing the way things worked then they suddenly went missing so I never bothered to re-upload them.

                                As to editing, once you download a file you can do what you like with it. What you can’t do (I hope) is make changes to the files on the web page.

                                    The following are regrettably phrased classified ads that have been placed in newspapers throughout the world.

                                      An Ode to ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ – A husband’s point of view.
                                      John Summers (not Pam Ayres)

                                      The missus bought a Paperback
                                      down Shepton, Saturday,
                                      I had a look in her bag;
                                      …T’was “Fifty Shades of Grey”.

                                      Well I just left her to it,
                                      …At ten I went to bed.
                                      An hour later she appeared;
                                      The sight filled me with dread…

                                      In her left hand she held a rope;
                                      And in her right a whip!
                                      She threw them down on the floor,
                                      And then began to strip.

                                      Well fifty years or so ago;
                                      I might have had a peek;
                                      But Mabel hasn’t weathered well;
                                      She’s eighty four next week.

                                      Watching Mabel bump and grind;
                                      Could not have been much grimmer.
                                      Things then went from bad to worse;
                                      She toppled off her Zimmer!

                                      She struggled up upon her feet;
                                      A couple minutes later;
                                      She put her teeth back in and said…
                                      I must dominate her!!

                                      Now if you knew our Mabel,
                                      You’d see just why I spluttered,
                                      I’d spent two months in traction
                                      For the last complaint I’d muttered.

                                      She stood there nude, naked like;
                                      Bent forward just a bit ….
                                      I thought oh well, what the hell,
                                      and stood on her left tit!

                                      Mabel screamed, her teeth shot out;
                                      My god what had I done!?
                                      She moaned and groaned then shouted out:
                                      “Step on the other one!”

                                      Well readers, I can’t tell no more;
                                      About what occurred that day.
                                      Suffice to say my jet black hair,
                                      Turned fifty shades of Grey.

                                          Mobile phone is PAYG, desktop is running Windows 8.1 so no Cortana & tablet (Lenovo Tab 10) is Android 6.0.1.

                                          I’ll dig out the Pi & have a play tomorrow. 🙂
