I must be one of the few people who got a lorry wedged in snowdrifts that overhung a lane. The best of it was that I was going down hill & the road was relatively clear & perfectly wide enough at ground level. At least the local farmer who I got to pull me out, thought it was funny.

Not sure I understand your point. Is it just because you think they are being lazy? I believe in the UK you can cross the road anywhere it’s safe to do so with the exception of those places where it’s specifically prohibited. However in France you defy a gendarme directing traffic at your peril if he hasn’t signaled that you may cross.

What annoys me is those drivers who pull up & get out of their car despite whatever traffic might have to swerve or pull up sharply to avoid hitting their opening door. Then on their return they deliberately walk in the middle of the road to stop the traffic so they can get back in their vehicle. If anyone did the same to them they would go ballistic.

Nope, one should be enough. It’s about circulating the heat rather than being self convecting.

Mine, bought from Steve’s link, went straight back with a complaint about false advertising. “This fan is low-energy and works only when your radiator is turned on …” is patently untrue as there is no thermostatic controller. That means you have to switch it on after the radiator has warmed up otherwise you are blowing cold air around the room.

There are dearer ones on Amazon with thermostatic controls but half the reviews say they are useless & the other half say they are brilliant.
