I don’t know if it related but I just logged in and chrome spat its dummy out about changing my password for this site as it is on a list it monitors and has been breached or something on them lines other than that no problems to report
Wishing all you forumites a happy new year I hope you all have a good one. And as JayCeeDee says thanks to Lee for keeping this small group of us together even when he was at a low point himself. THANK YOU
Graham I hope everything goes right for you its a bit of a sh1t situation but welcome to the club it seems us forumites seem to have good or bad ailments . We all seem to have bad ailments but keep on going. That can only be a good thing as we are all soldiering through
Glasses, jug, metal man and phone
I hope you all had a good day I know I did. Only thing is I’m still sober at this time that’s never happened before. I also wish you all the best for the new year.
I have windows firewall enabled and the router has one and I have never had any problems I think you would only need to install a third party firewall if you needed extra features that the windows one doesn’t have. As for Avast I haven’t used for ages it started getting bloated so now I just use Windows security and again never had any problems.
Hi Les
My MIL has been on the phone tonight her Lenovo tab has just started doing the same thing. My misses is going over on Friday and one of her jobs will be to sort it so it will be interesting if a fix turns up.
Just found this 2nd answer from this month is the one
He’s going to have a fair old scar. He’s had 16 staples you can tell he’s in a bit of pain even for a staffie that don’t normally show it. Either that or he’s milking it for all the extra affection he’s getting or maybe a bit of both. Vet said he’s going to be fine and was really impressed with his behaviour “Are we talking about the same dog here”
Yup Tiz the season to be jolly. Although not feeling it yet WIP.
I was getting in the Christmas mood till I got home from work today. Christmas meet up planned having a good laugh. Walked into the house erm you better phone the vet £400 later the dog isn’t getting a doggy stocking this year. Other than that I hope you all have a good one and many more to come.
Graham my cousins 2 brothers about 32 years ago used to drive around in minis. One was a 1340cc the other a 1312cc my auntie their mum had a yellow clubman with one of the above engines I can’t remember which though the 3 of them had noisy exhausts as well
If your into that type of stuff Graham Koenigsegg are the ones developing this tech for cars I’ve seen a few programmes in the past about this and there are some videos on the tube about it
November 6, 2019 at 10:11 pm in reply to: Nasty Firefox Bug enables scammers to PRETEND that your machine is locked up #38052I’m on 71.0b7 on the beta update channel that was released on the 21st of October there are no further updates so it can’t have been fixed can it? Or is the bug that old
Coming up on Tuesday next week, on ITV, a documentary with cameras following pilots being trained to fly the F35 Lightning in Wales and America. Should be interesting as to whether they recognise/admit to its’ shortcomings or go off on a promotional blurb about how wonderful it is!!
I watched this in one of the episodes one the British pilots missed his bombing run as the turkey wouldn’t work. It took if I remember rightly an hour to reboot its systems by which time he had missed his slot on the bombing range
The main idea in fitting it is he is getting a small caravan soon. As he doesn’t want to go out and buy a new car this was a cheaper way of giving the car a bit more pulling power. The torque increase is definitely noticeable as is the power. According to the chip maker his car is the same power but more torque as the next model up from his in the range. Which should make tugging a caravan a bit easier on the car. That’s the theory anyway.
@Steve he is a really steady driver he will happily sit at 60 on the motorway to get as much mpg as he can so hopefully he should see a few extra mpg
Today whilst upgrading my brothers laptop I fitted a one of these to his Hyundai I30 blue something or other I wasn’t expecting anything much to be fair “you hear about these miracle things for your car” but bloody hell both of us were impressed. Don’t know if it will improve fuel consumption like the claims but from 1700ish rpm its like a different car
@Graham a free upgrade is always good even though the keys are cheap on the bay
PlaneMan the v6 was Rovers own lump a k series v6 as were the other petrol variants. The diesels are of BMW origin.
Edit. They fitted a ford v8 to a few
Cheers Mark
I did a win 8 laptop today my brother has had it stashed away for a few years did the upgrade it registered straight away. Followed that by a clean install and all is fine. I’ve not had a lot of dealings with 8 then I get 2 in a week both upgraded and registered straight away.
Does PiHole work on the first gen Rasp Pi without any performance impact? I have never used it “PiHole” but I have a gen 1 Pi sat in a box doing nothing
