That’s odd. Zooming was the first thing I tried, but nothing changed. I just tried it again and it switched to mobile view at 125%
I could cry. It’s my phone contract that’s about to end, not my fibre. That’s got about six months left 🙁
Sitting next to my router I’m getting 11Mb through my fibre, and 45Mb through my phone. Time to argue with Talktalk then…
we have about 10 pubs all in shart walking distance
Sorry Steve, but this one tickled me 😂
(Definition of a shart for those who don’t know: https://www.google.com/search?q=shart)
Sorry, I thought I’d posted here too. The Dveetech is £15 now on Ebuyer. Here’s a Facebook post I put up about it:
There’s a decent 4K action cam for £15 on Ebuyer at the minute. It’s an SJ4000 clone, so a clone of a clone, but it’s compatible with GoPro accessories. I’ve got one and it’s pretty good. If you can cope with my dodgy riding, there’s a video here shot on a helmet mount in the rain:
The wind noise is pretty bad, but that was the first time I used it, so I haven’t looked into muffling it yet.

Looking at the videos, it might be the sun, and it’s overwhelming the sensor. It’s hard to tell if it’s the right direction because of the snow and lack of shadows though.
How does this work with regards to stopping landline based broadband? Usually the new supplier takes over the transfer and stops it for you, but is it the same in this case?
I’m tempted to switch now while there are definitely good deals, and have both running for the last month or so of my Talktalk contract.
I’ve got to wait until the end of next month to get rid of TalkTalk. I was getting 16Mb on a 40Mb connection with Vodafone, and I’m now getting about 10 with TT on a good day. Their minimum guaranteed speed is 11Mb.
I get at least 35Mb on my 3 phone usually, so switching is very tempting.
There are a few possible answers here, depending on your browser:
Nice find, thanks 🙂
Happy birthday Lee 😁
A No Deal Brexit is likely to result in shortages
It’s already happening. I’m a member of a Vasculitis support group on Facebook, and several members have had trouble getting their meds and been told that it’s a direct result of Brexit. Apparently companies are not renewing or prioritising their part of the delivery chain to the UK as there’s so much uncertainty, and they’re not willing to commit to anything 🙁
If you don’t have those then Power DVD just won’t LET you play a UHD Blu ray.
And they wonder why people still pirate…
it said DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Can’t this also be caused by a memory error?
I’m eyeing up the CiT Serenity for the next one.
Take any CiT specs with a pinch of salt…
Just to echo what the others have said, thanks for getting the site back up and running and giving us a place to call home 🙂
Happy birthday ?
Good luck 🙂
Remember, being called Butt in Wales is a term of endearment ?
But I will take the opportunity to strip and clean my PC and transfer everything to an SSD. Been meaning to do that for ages: I may be offline for a bit.
If you can, disconnect the old drive and just do a fresh install on the new. Once it’s up and running, copy over whatever you need and keep the old intact as a temporary backup. It’s what I just did with the laptop, and it made it a lot easier for my dodgy memory 😀
That’s a brilliant cause. Well done Ellie 😀
I wonder what the technical difference is between front and back and how it knows?
Years ago I got into the habit of plugging anything that might be power hungry into a rear port, after having a similar problem. Back then it was caused by an under specced cable between the motherboard header and the front port. I’ve got a vague memory of the cable being too thin to handle the extra current, but I couldn’t say for sure now.
