I hate a dirty car, drives me nuts. I was always washing my mothers car before i had mine, still do.
Remind me what your address is. I’ll get Ellen to ‘accidentally’ leave the car outside on the way to work ?
Working here too. Thanks Lee 🙂
Morning Mon Capitan 😉
I’m having a strange issue when I use the most recent replies view. If I go into a topic, I have to press back several times to return to the list, as if the site is opening several pages before getting to the topic. The more topics I open, the bigger the list is. I’ve added two screenshots to show you what I mean.

Happy birthday Lee, sorry it’s late
Since I’ve been playing have realised just how bad quality a lot of the Sky channels are now – if you watch (e.g. C4+1) via Sky then watch the equivalent on freeview the difference is very noticable – Sky is awful by comparison.
I noticed a change when they started broadcasting Sky in HD. I still had the standard box, and the quality suddenly dropped on some channels, eventually spreading to more and more.
I just tried to open Ccleaner to check the version, and Defender stopped it immediately. I updated Defender and ran a scan, then opened Ccleaner again. It opened this time and advised me to update straight away. I said yes, and I’m now running the 64 bit version.
Usual scans going ahead just in case ?
Thanks Dave, they look great. I’d forgotten about tethering. I rarely use it, but my father doesn’t have home internet, so I use it to update his computer now and again.
I’ve been having trouble with my 1+1 since I had to send it back about two years ago. As usual, nothing happened until it was out of warranty, but now I get random reboots, massive overheating, and crap signal compared to other phones in the same place. I wouldn’t be surprised if wiping and updating it fixes some of the issues, but I’ve lost faith in it 🙁
I’ll pick up a Three SIM today and see what the signal’s like 🙂
There are so many variables for electricity prices that I don’t think an app would do it. I could live next door to you, have electricity with the same supplier, and the same meter type, but be on a different tariff. Once you factor in different suppliers, economy 7, solar panels, price changes etc., I can’t see an app being accurate without a huge amount of data.
Happy belated birthday ?
Sorry it’s late, I’ve had no internet
Sorry, only just seeing this. Good luck to you and your dad, and I’ll be another set of eyes keeping an eye on the site as much as possible ?
Backup Message and Call to Email is really handy. I think it was either Nolan or Steve who first showed it to me, but it lets you backup your SMS, MMS, and call logs to Gmail, then restore them to any phone with the same Gmail account.

Asked about the new local showroom on Facebook, but apart from a sarcastic comment from a friend, I got nothing 🙁
Any reason for a camcorder rather than something like an action cam with a handle, or even a phone? I’m just wondering as action cams seem to be more versatile now, and can even be used underwater ?
Battlefield 4: Dragon’s Teeth is free on Origin. You need Battlefield 4 to play it, but you can add it anyway if you’re planning on getting Battlefield 4 at a later date
GMail lets stuff through that is borderline spam – for example I signed up to a book company called Packt to get some code downloads, and they abuse the trust by sending me stuff EVERY darned day.
I don’t mind emails like that, as it’s from a company you deal with, so it’s always going to be a personal preference rather than definite spam. It’s the obvious stuff that annoys me. e.g. I’ve only ever communicated with MS in English, so an Arabic shopping email should be raising a few flags, and so should an Apple communication from a random line of numbers and letters.
I only use the Hotmail address for site signups, but still, I shouldn’t be getting the blatant crap ?
Have you tried copying it from the NAS to the computer first? At least that will rule out either the network or USB speed
The .VOB files are usually about that length. Sounds like it’s only playing one, instead of the whole disc. You might need to add a codec.
Thanks Steve 🙂
I tried Truecaller before, but it didn’t load any messages. I just set it as the default messaging app, and it’s working ?
Our daughter, was shocked at the lack of interest in their child’s education shown by the other mothers. Many had never worked and no one else had any interest in their offspring getting any sort of qualification by the end of their schooling…
It’s the same here with loads of people. They genuinely care for their kids, and want them to have a good future, but a large proportion of people don’t seem to realise that a decent education is a part of that. There was a post going around Facebook a few weeks back where someone pointed out that they hadn’t used algebra in the 20 or so years since they left school, and they were proud of not needing ‘maths’! These are the same people who complain about their crappy jobs and lack of money mind (if they’re working at all).
Only disappointment is that Google is supposed to backup my app data and download it again when I download the app. Nope.
I’ve never got it to work, no matter which phone or Android version I’ve used. It’s supposed to back up my wifi connections too, so I don’t have to enter every passcode again, but that’s never happened either.
