Edinburgh Castle is good if you like your history. I don’t know what the tours are like though, as I was lucky enough to go with a friend who’s a history buff and gave us his own tour. Lots of good places to eat and drink in the city too ๐Ÿ™‚

We got it on Ellen’s Honor 9 and the Fiesta last week, and it’s much better. It works reliably with EMUI too, which is more than can be said for the old version, so either Google or Huawei have done some tinkering ๐Ÿ™‚

Depending on the shows and films, they may already be available on the Fire Stick, or through the catchup services. If you want, list them here and I’ll see if they’re available ๐Ÿ™‚

@bdthree Whatever you’ve been doing has fixed the refreshing issue for me. Whenever I went either backwards or forwards to a page on the site, it would load then refresh almost immediately, but it’s not doing it now. I hadn’t realised how annoying it was until it was gone ๐Ÿ™‚

Seeing as my copy of Office has just been deactivated for being fake, I’m gonna say no! ??

And not that difficult to sharpen properly!! Bl**dy lethal then!!

This is a key quote that people forget when they want to ban or restrict things like knives. There are a *lot* of things that can be either sharpened or honed to a point that will do just as much damage as a knife, and wouldn’t necessarily raise suspicion when carried. Items like screwdrivers can easily be explained away by carrying a few other tools ‘My mate asked me to help him fix his computer, officer. Dear little me just wants to play Minecraft with the other nice kids…’ (daft example, but you see what I mean).

We’ve got two here, and they’re used every day. I like sci fi and there’s loads of kids TV included for Alice. Just be aware that a lot of the promoted content is on paid channels. They’re easy to avoid, but I almost got tripped up when we got the first one.

They can be set up with Alexa too, so I can say ‘Alexa, play the next episode of … ‘ and it will play. We have two living rooms thanks to the house layout, so the command automatically goes to the same room as the device it wwas given to – in our case the Echo Dot and one Fire Stick are both registered to the same room.

I have Office 2019 installed and activated on a rig. Is it saying it wonโ€™t work no more?

You should be alright, but I bought a copy from Ebay that’s apparently not as legit as I thought.

Apart from a brief few hours in the early hours of this morning, it’s been over 27 degrees in my living room for the last few days. I’ve been on high dose steroids for the last few weeks, with extra doses last week, so I’ve been warm anyway.

Got a phone call today saying that I need to go to the hospital in Cardiff for blood tests, and the only way to get there was on the motorbike, about an hour each way in full kit, in this heat. I think I lost about a stone in sweat.

A smart socket may not do it. My Epson has a ‘soft’ power button, so it doesn’t switch on if the mains is switched on. I can’t reach the plugs to test it at the moment though.

John – Turn the printer on as if it’s ready to print, switch the wall socket off for a few minutes, then switch it back on. If it turns on ready to print, you’re fine.

Next came a Boiga, a venomous snake: I woke up and heard my mate whisper โ€œDonโ€™t move or youโ€™re dead!โ€

About ten years ago I caught the first train to Cardiff every day, and wound up regularly sitting with a girl I knew from school and about half a dozen military college students. She was ex military, so would tell them stories about her deployment.

One story was that she was in a hot, dry country, sitting in a hole in the sand with her back to a wall (she kept things slightly vague on purpose). They’d either just been or were just about to go on patrol, so were a little bit on edge. Suddenly the conversation around her stopped, and she was told not to move. Everyone was looking to a point just behind her, and one of the soldiers picked up their gun as if they were about to use it. 1001 thoughts went through her head, mainly along the lines of ‘the bad guys are coming’ (but with a bit more colour). There was a sudden burst of movement as one of the guys swung a shovel past her head. She heard a meaty hit, then he proceeded to batter something on the ground behind the wall. When my friend looked, there was a giant spider (camel spider?) about the size of her head on the floor. It had crawled over the top of the wall, and had reared up as if it was about to jump at her.

I shuddered just hearing about that one!

This does not always work so well, especially when reception is weak to very poor as it is for us at home.

Depending on your phone or provider, you might be able to set up wifi calling. I get no signal at my mother’s house, but Three added wifi calling a little while back, and it’s been flawless so far. I just use the phone as normal, and they do whatever makes it work ๐Ÿ™‚

Reality check a bunch of possibly woman burst into a room playing a siren and announcing gloom and doom while one of them rushes the head of the table. What are you going to do?

Unfortunately, I’ve been in much more violent situations than that, and have never reacted that violently. She didn’t pop up behind him and surprise him, she walked the length of the table in full view before he grabbed her. There was no rushing on her part:
