Dave.
You really do need to start up your own consultancy company.
I subscribe to a Hi-Fi channel on U tube and that guy has his own consultancy company.
Now, where as he is pretentious. you are not.
They recon that the solid state battery will be a mature technology in 2026.

Wait!
Though could be because it’s a 5m cable.
5M is that even a thing?
Sound more like the first 2 letter of the Bristol post code. BS 🙂
Keep us posted on the Oculus. I have the same sw game.
and it’s still hit or miss whether the software detects it attached or not
WTF is going on with usb cables these days they are all shyit.
Dave Rice Participant Forumite Points: 25,751 I see a load of new budget Ryzens on E-Buyer, but turns out they are Zen 2 and not 3
stunt pullers. I think I spelt that right
I here TSMC will be at 2nm for 2025. So that feels like sub 1nm will be achievable and not to far away. CRAZY tech/ science.
Well it looks like some on is adding some dynamism to the platform and for a small price.
I draw the line at hologram: But usb 3.1 to keyboared and roll display monitor to a smart phone is the where things should be heading.
I remember early w10 and my bios was not fully uefi compatible and so at that time I had to use legacy.
But 2021 bios is full uefi and so w11 compatible and thats what I use now.
with an old mobo like that and w8,1.
I would have thought that uefi would even come into it.
have a look in the bios and see if you have uefi enabled if so for another option from the drop down?
Thats really confusing that the m2 is not bootable. I have not come across that before.
A up wasbit.
Thats a bit cryptic.
What OS are you trying to boot into and did you install the OS on the M2 via that mobo.
All built into the keyboard. I see said the blind man.
Sounds eloquent but as soon as I saw the ssd connected, its plain to see that pi 400 could do with a little refinement.
But then I guess thats a little harsh as nower days you see most folk on their lappies with all sorts of peripheral stuff plugged in inc a big display .
Goes with the territory as they say
I guess its a case of how cost effective pi 400 set can be. 🙂
A couple of photos would help with digestion on what you are on about.
That would make a nice Easter egg.
Hmm, good idea, tourist dentistry. chewing on that.
So it seems that the 5800X3D is not overclockable because of the stacked 96mb of L3chache. But clearly thats not a problem with how well it performs for games that is.
Its also more energy efficient than the 5800X, but then its clocked 200Mhz lower.
But that lower energy consumption would help it sit better in my B450 mobo.
Anyway in the fist instance I would like one. . But its to expensive for the time being and something better may come along before the end of the year.
I have put the money onto one side for the dork head set. 🙂
The price Of that monitor I would have to rob from my dentistry budget.
In my old age I am getting a true pirate smile.
Hopefully when the work is done I wont come out looking like Baz.

Yeah, it does now seem that super extra amounts of cache can help cure a lot of evils and no doubt the next M3 will be tuned to that, obvs for games that is, I don’t think there is much out there productivity wise that is interested in the like of L3 cache.
What we have seen in the X3D reviews is that games seem to be heavily update orientated. I duno if that observation is correct??
As for FPS as some one who has played pc games for way to long I have notice some strange things in games.
Like with a constant 60fps screen but explosions are slow compared to the next gen CPU same game, 60fps screen.
Another thing I have recently notice with my new 32″ screen is because it fills more of your vision the ability to play games better is enhanced. Which points out to me that is a mature tech 3D headset is the way to go for the better gaming experience, which kinda links to my first post as to what I have been chewing on lately and as soon as the Quest3 is out I will be getting one.
Dave you watched way to much Joe 90 when you was a kid.
What else you got in that ruck sack.
BTW whats yellow and writes.
April 13, 2022 at 7:51 pm in reply to: Russiagate, Geopolitics, National Politics, Gas, Ukraine and us #69407Well, I was listening to the Evan Davies show tonight on radio4 and I could not believe my ears.
Evan went on to say that he had spoken to the prime minister of Sweden and it seems that Finland is looking to join NATO real soon and if so Sweden will join.
The mind boggles.
I’m gonna hold a light for ITER. I hope it makes it.
“Did I tell you I have been invited to the BBQ”.
If it does not then I have high hopes for the thorium reactor.
Yeah, isn’t it, if you knock an electron off mercury you get gold. Summat like that.
I found this and things don’t look so good?
Sabine Hossenfelder seems to know her stuff on lots of subject matter and she has her won channel.
Nice one Les. I had no idea.
But then who does. In a monkey see monkey do world.
