On Holiday the other month (swanage) we took the ferry to the sandbanks and went to watch the airshow on the beach at Bournemouth. A visit at Wetherspoons before the show made for a cracking day.

I have never been a cloud user. All that stuff thrown at us over the years of how your photos can degrade when moving them around completely put me off cloud storage.

TY for the link. Its is done. I expanded the drive to take up the free space and it turned green, simple volume.

My lawn this summer looked like the aftermath of an Atol nuke experiment from the 50’s, one of the small ones, like a 100MT hydrogen air burst. with thousands of dead personnel to the peripherals of my lawn, aka the boarder. The Dahlias love it.

But no, its come back to life duno how, its a good time to put some seed down now we are approaching October, grass grows best at about 10C.

I am pretty stocked about what AMD will be releasing next CPU/MOBO/GFX and DDR5 prices are almost at DDR4

It looks like the old days when compute power went up 50% ish annually  . I think this will most likely be a one off.

Yep, when I get on the next platform 4x2TB nvme in raid will be where its at via the 2nd hand market. recently got me a 2TB 2nd hand Samsung which appears to come with a ram drive. lol. It works, all my old stuttering games have been put on it. The wost offender A/C Odyssey is as smooth as a baby s bum.

I would very much have liked SAS SSD support on the new socket with PCI-E 5 and all that, like from server mobo’s. Its about time our gear caught up with server mobo’s, well for SSD’s that is, dont think I want 20,000rpm spinner. 🙂

After years of thinking about it, today I actually got around to increasing the font size on my music player in the lounge. From 9 to 14. Why I struggled all these years to get it done when I should have done it on day one, I dont know.

For what ever reason my PC is very good at processing air. I did a couple of tests on this.

So the GPU junction temp, hot spot is the interposer on the back of the GPU or so it say on the net? Gotta say that does seem a little odd. But more importantly its good for 110c before throttling. As you can see even at these temps the GPU fans are not hard pushed and so there is plenty of leg room for the fans to keep the Junction temp under control. I have scrutinized my card and made the decision to leave it alone. On one paste thread, I saw they recommended heating the thermo paste to at least 50c before application, Thats sounds good?
