Yep, my w10 could do with a rewrite. Its getting a bit laggey and on that note I decided to make the change to w111 when the new drivers come out for AMDs next gen graphics.
But I think I should go w11 now and learn a little about it, so when the next gen hardware drivers come out I can do a clean fresh install of w11.
Which is where you wanna be.
That was so good it made me laugh.
The next Tomb Raider will use Unreal..
At first I was disappointed as we know how good looking Tomb games are and it did not seem to follow for them to have opted to go with unreal 5, but now with 5.1 it does hands down.
NVIDIA have cornered the GPU market because of the ray trace advantage they have over the competition and the bastards charge stupid prices for their GPU’s
Helpfully this will lead to lower GPU pricing as we are still dealing with rasterization here and this is where AMD typically out perform NVIDIA.
I forgot all about this thread. They are sold.
Valves steam deck is quiet something IMO. Just look at the cost for what you get.
But a killer feature of it for me is the: Valves dock accessory, which turn it into a desk top PC. Monitor, keyboard, mouse.
The down side to the dock is the cost, making the viability questionable. But imo its still a plus.
Try a new bios battery.
I remember years ago 1980s there was a live album by ACDC and it was rebound for taking out either your amp or your speakers or both.
It had a whole lot of Rossie on it and shes got the jack, but I dunno what its tittle was.

Yeah. Hi-Fi can be scary stuff in that you spend a fortune and it sounds no better than your parents waltham.
I always fancied making some speakers. One heck of a lot of it is in the cabinet huh?. But as for amplifiers, no thanks.

October 18, 2022 at 6:22 pm in reply to: Russiagate, Geopolitics, National Politics, Gas, Ukraine and us #70133I cannot find the words to express how disappointed I am with the conservative party.
I am also worried that soon the ukraine war will spread.
TBH I think most things are Lo-Fi.
So with speakers you get to shake the room a lot and with head phones you get to here all the hidden stuff.
A good bench mark track for both is by 10CC, I’m Mandy fly me. With cans in the first 25 seconds you can hear a man shouting (ever so faint) and if you can hear him shouting with speakers, then you must have the best speakers in the world.
So yeah, its all Lo-Fi for speakers.
I have a DB app on my phone and it is terrific, DB move up the scale crazy huh, some thing to do with the multiplier in the equation. The difference between 90DB and 93 is bonkers. After that turn it back down.
@ JCD,
Hmm, for the sake of a fun experiment, its time to see much browsers and tabs can load up my ram.
This must be quite difficult to spot with out an app to monitor windows ram usage. Coz windows will just switch to virtual ram. Difficult to spot performance issues with a browsers tabs unlike a game..
If I remember right there used to be a 3D mark app that used to fire up a ton of Tabs in some sort of PC bench mark thing. I think it was called PC mark. Lol, duno. time for bed. Zzzzz.
Goodo, I will keep the moths in my wallet. 🙂
I cannot see if it has a built in modem/ bt to the wall..
I only use plug and play routers so to speak.
Cheaper than second hand and new. wow.
I think that the pop up was an error and most likely served a purpose for a while, but this function should have been removed for an end user.
I get my games from CD keys. Rule of thumb they are much cheaper then?
The recent Doom games are terrific. Dirt rally 2 is amazing and Deus Ex Mankind Divided is real good.
Currently playing assassins creed odyssey: Massive game but mostly rewarding but can feel like a job at times on account of its size.
Didn’t kodak actually have there own nuclear reactor, back in the day when they turned over silly money?
Topaz GigapixelAI is great for sorting out your early digital snaps and for me that was with a kodak.
Get the free trial, but it dont last long.
One of the new features of w11 is the thread or core CPU optimizer and its very good at balancing power and heat. But it has quite a lot of latency. I am glad I have not made the switch yet and it sounds like you do not want one of the old cronk Rysen 3800x CPU’s as they are just 4×2 stuck together and no doubt even more latency.
Yeah energy consumption is going up big time for the GPU’s and some would say the CPU’s as well.
But if you have been keeping yer eye on things you may have noticed that you can now lower from 105 w to 65 w on the Rysen 7600x leading to a 5% performance hit. with a big drop in temps. You can also lower the power consumption in other ways a small amount and performance goes up by 2%. It seems also to be a thing with the other 7 series CPU’s but different.
Ironic under-powering could be the new thing. I would jump at it as apparently there is no performance hit for games.
I found this site that seems to do everything M$ real cheap. Well for now they do. You can even get a W7 key. Make sure you are on the UK site £
