Reminds me of “stone balancers” if that’s the right name for it. Never seen it myself but a retired pro photographer on my FB friends list who spends his days roaming the country side and taking pictures has come across them and he posts the pics on FB. Google if not seen them before. Some are mighty impresive. And it’s all real. They are not Super Glued.

I clicked Like even though I hate vegans more than I hate idiots. I don’t hate them because they are vegans I hate them because they keep posting and sharing all those anti meat videos and pics on FB.

If you ask an intelligent question you usually get an intelligent answer. Since my question (mathematical) is way beyond an idiot’s ability to comprehend I am not worried, a stupid answer by an idiot is very unlikely.

Hmmm. Strange. Someone answered my question on Yahoo Answers but I can’t ask for a clarifications as it all just scrolls down out of sight and when I try scrolling down to catch up it just keeps running away from me…

Don’t know about a flat earth but i may be able to help with the maths. Just draw a line from the middle of your line of sight to the center of the earth to form 2 right angle triangles. Now use the pythagarus sum of the squares rule to get the length of your new line. Subtract the length of your line fron the radious of the earth and bingo. I get 6 meters on my calculator ?

I found some website where you enter whatever data you have on a triangle and it gives you the rest. I made two tringles and a line in the middle to divide them so basically 4 triangles. Then I worked it all out in a somewhat more longwinded way. But I got 44m. Sounds like a bit too much of a curve there but I kept making mistakes so it’s probably wrong.

Up next, why Scientology isn’t nuts. ?

I used to live in East Grinstead and a few of my friends are Scientologists so lets not go there. I have only good things to say about them.

Determined, inspired why is the horizon an arc of a circle?

Look at the link you provided. The pic in the point six shows it.

The Earth IS flat, didn’t we all play marbles as kids, if the Earth was round they wouldn’t have stayed where they were put. ?

I had my doubts at first but when the flatearthers used corialis effect to argue one of their points that completely sold it to me. ?

Bob, don’t blame me God made Earth flat. And it looks like he/she did a pretty crap job too. I went for a swim and as I looked at the sailing boats in the distance I could see only maybe three quarters of the sails. Waves are negligible as I could see other swimmer’s heads 1-2 km. Clearly it isn’t that flat…

Not sure Active Hours is going to help me. I don’t keep my computer on if I’m not using it. Is it possible Now TV could change the update settings? The first thing I did today on my computer when I got back from work was watch Game of Thrones on Now TV and it crashed a couple of times. And I noticed it has installed Cisco VideoGuard Player for the second time – it is installed twice… Or maybe one of the encoding aps I installed yesterday? But then why wait till today… It seems to have started with the Now TV Player. Well over a hundred updates that have accumulated were installed in one go. Though most Optional as I do not install them unless I have to.

I’ll give it another try tomorrow. I think it’s best to film in lossless (whatever that is) instead of MP4 and then compress it with a clean compression format (whatever that is) before uploading to YT. I only have an 8GB SD card in the camera so will probably be just a short video. More googling required.

When an email looks dodgy I normally check who the email is from by hovering the mouse cursor over the sender’s name and that shows me the sender email address. If it is scam mail it’s usually some weird looking email. And I thought I was safe. But lately there were a couple that were clearly a scam but had the addresses of the actual websites they are pretending to be. One of them was from Steam telling me my account was blocked and asking to change the password but when I went to Steam directly there was nothing wrong with it. And I think the other was maybe from the bank, can’t remember, it was a while ago but was rather worrying.

@Dave good point about the charging  🙂 and the warranty. Looks like I should just buy a Uk model.

@Les both camcorders record MP4 format and connect to the PC via USB, the only difference is that one does 60 fps the other 50… I’d probably still be able to upload 50 fps to YT just maybe lose a bit of quality. My main concern is charging, that whole 50Hz or 60Hz business that puzzles me.

I’ll only use it indoors and I think it’s a better video quality and also has external mic and manual zoom and wide angle lens attachment etc. that will come handy sometimes.

Which one is that Duke? The £5-6 ones I buy have terrible key sensitivity and feel. I nearly bought one similar to Bob’s only flat but at the till I realised it was wireless and they didn’t have a wired one so I went home with a couple of cheapos again. Really like the look of the one Bob linked, might actually buy one for my next keyboard.

Got a WILKOS store near you Tadka? Buy one and a spare for £11.00: https://tinyurl.com/pn6rmkm They have a ‘Store Locator’ tab on the site.

No Wilko near me but this time I did buy two keyboards from PC World for £12. I’m not a complete idiot, I do learn from my mistakes occasionally 😀 I wish I learnt not to break them  :/

It’s incredible how they can make a keyboard and ship over here all the way from China sell it for £5.50 and still make a profit.

I should just buy an extension but every time I go to get a new keyboard (I break them often) I forget so I just cut the plug and rewire. Only this time the colours were not the same – blue instead of black (guessing) and pink instead of red. It should have worked the first time (assuming those colours are what I think they are) but I guess it just wasn’t done properly.

It’s working! My insulation wasn’t very good, I think they were shorting in places. Just had to do it properly and keyboard saved.
