I like the thunderstorm one, I keep trying to catch a good thunderstorm heading my way but it always happens when I’m already asleep.

Also live wind is fun to watch when there are hurricanes:

You can try World of Tanks. But it’s online only. If you feel you are not competitive enough against other players just play artillery, it requires almost no skill at all to play and is very relaxing. The downside is that you need to grind to get better tanks, crew skills and equipment. Personally I have no problems with most stock tanks but I have always been an above-average gamer 😉

I found the contact list. It’s all there and more. A huge amount of duplicates. Why would there be duplicates when the name and number is identical? Also some names are cut off half way (they have no endings). Doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in the service. And I think maybe it can’t handle multiple names and numbers in one contact field (for example Club Members), which I just checked and it is not available on my current phone but my previous phone did have it. Now it’s just Club Members, Club Members, Club Members… and the names of the members are gone. This is giving me a head ache. I’ll have to come back to this another day when I feel I can face this mess 🙂

Duke, can you gimme a link where you manage your contacts? I can’t find anything in my account settings.

I’ve only ever let Google look after my contacts and I’ve never lost any, how were you saving contacts before? It may be they are still there wherever that is. May be they needed transferring to Google? If you log into Chrome on with your google account you can see what contacts Google has attached to your account. It’s also a lot easier to import contacts from there, they’ll then be synced to your phone. Whatever I doubt it’s due to petulance on Google’s part.

              Hi Dave,

As you can see in my second post above the contacts just reappeared. I tried looking inside my Google account and did find my Backups but they wouldn’t let me look at it. And it had no contacts. Just apps and something else, and the date was rather from February… Way too confusing. If something is not readily obvious how to use I don’t bother. So just disabled backups and my phone. I never used any backups before in my life and never had any problems. I’ll continue that way.

I should have checked my phone before making this post… I had my phone off all night and now the contacts are back. Not sure if all is back or some still missing. No way of telling. But the strange thing is that after the contacts went missing I did turn off my phone and then back on again. The contacts were still missing. Not sure why they are back this time.

I think FB could do with much better personal privacy options but otherwise it’s not a bad social media website. As for sharing user data…. they only know my name, not much to share.

I just googled and it seems if the 2p coin is 1983 but it says New Pence on it rather than Two Pence then it might sell for a few hundred pounds.

This is my coin box and two out of six 2p coins I picked out were 1971 new pence. Can’t be that rare. I think it’s fake news to attract people to the website.

I try to stay away from anything related to politics. I know one fact about it (and that’s all I need to know) – there is no honesty or truth there. But I just watched this video on YouTube due to pure boredom after it popped up on Facebook. I now actually regret having watched it as I just can’t stop thinking how screwed up this world is. But it’s an interesting video nonetheless. A link for those who want to watch it:

I don’t believe it, looks like just a repetition of rumours. Well made but lacking in any real substance.

I don’t know, those pictures of the White Hats/terrorist looked like enough evidence to me. But to be honest I don’t care, doesn’t matter what I believe or don’t, it won’t make any difference.

Thanks Dave, looks like some good deals there. Can’t believe they are still selling them with hard drives. I thought they were obsolete by now. Will have to look if there are any with SSDs and what are the prices. But first have to try fix my toilet which I just broke and flooded the bathroom ?

Don’t know if you changed the post or I just didn’t see it but that Acer looks exactly like what she needs. Wrote the details on a piece of paper and will pass it on to her tomorrow 🙂

                            Thanks Dave!

My MB went nuts last night. This morning I downloaded and installed three optional updates for my Windows that I didn’t bother with last time and that fixed the MB. Or at least it looks that way. I was unable to start real time protection, it just remained turned off. But after the updates it turned on by itself…

Over never heard of a website having a Xmas break. I bet the work experience lad turned the server off thinking it was the lights, on his way out Xmas eve.

                                  This made me chuckle

If he wants to make YT videos of the games he plays then it has to be powerful enough to handle both simultaneously – the game and the video creating software. My PC has no problems with games but it struggles if I try to make a video.

I think my very first motherboard for my very first build was ECS, also bought from Novatech, got to be close to 20 years ago.

Awesome deals. Three have always been good on prices. Was with them since the beginning, video calling and the horrendous clam-shell phone. But had to switch to O2 because my current place has no Three coverage…

I went from Pusnet to Sky over a year ago. Now Plusnet wants me back and their offer is £3 cheaper than Sky but I’m staying with Sky. Upload is 20% faster than it was with Plusnet and connection is very stable. With Plusnet I had frequent connection drops.

I was looking at the Duracell website and it’s about £50 and in the description it mentions “power-2” which I googled and it turns out it’s something to do with better quality materials or something. Never heard of it before but I think I might go for it.
