My prediction is that over the next 2-3 months Brexit will start to form a plan – a bad one. It will get partially ratified by the EU but with many holes. The Tory party will start to crumble. Corbyn will hit the Brexit problem home and cause a general election where he will offer a referendum on the deal as part of his campaign. Corbyn will win a significant majority – perhaps one of the largest ever. Brexit will be ended. I will be happy! 🙂

Ah, I think I’m getting it. I’ve created a plugin to make it simple in the long run (which was very easy!) and that uses do_shortcode to effectively call another shortcode from php.

I still think you are mostly crazy!
Despite what people think of the EU, working together as a people is far better then closing borders and putting up barriers. If Brexit does somehow result in us improving our global trade then with the sum of averages somewhere else is going to suffer because of it – we are unlikely to increase global trade, just take more of it.
In my opinion the whole principle of Leaving the EU to try and push ourselves up is a very Tory viewpoint and concentrates on oneself rather than the whole … but then you expect to live amongst the whole but slightly richer.
It is just wrong in principle. Then we go for Corbyn. He isn’t a commie, he isn’t a Marxist, nor a socialist (well maybe). These are all terms used to classify and study political situations and most of them only vaguely apply these days with ‘capitalism’ being so ingrained in most of the world.
I don’t say that Corbyn is the perfect PM but at the moment he is by far the best choice. Corbyn believes the state should serve the people which this country needs at the moment. I don’t believe he’d be the best person for WW3, nor the best long term but for the next term or two I think he could set the country back on the path of prosperity through investment rather than greed.i7 4790s / 8GB / 480GB SSD / GTX 980 / 34" UltraWide : i3 4170 / 8GB / 480GB SSD / GTX 770 / 24" Samsung : i3 4130 / 8GB / 500GB Spinner / GTX 1050 / 23" Acer : Q9550 / 8GB / 1TB Spinner / GTX 580 / 22" Acer : i7 720QM / 8GB / 1TB+2TB+500GB Spinners (server) : i5 4570 / 8GB / 60GB SSD / 1TB / GeForce 210 / 22" Dell It's getting warm in here!
Me again …
I want to have a set of buttons on a page (form) that can be toggled for a search. When the buttons are selected, e.g. MUSIC and PDF submitting the form will generate a shortcode on the page like this [downloads tag=”music, pdf”]
WP would then convert the shortcode into the downloads table …Does it work like that or can you not generate shortcodes with php? I almost understand how WP works now but I’m not certain of the flow and the order in which teh pages are generated.

This is the ONLY problem with the Irish border argument. The fact that the EU see two states, rather than a single landmass (which is ironic, since they can handle the single landmass elsewhere).
Apparently there are more crossings over the N’ Irish/Eire Border (300-ish iirc) than there are on all the other EU/Non-EU borders put together.

Thanks, don’t put any time in. I’m just getting to grips and chapping and changing my mind all the time. I’m trying to get an overview of how WP works because at the moment I’m still finding it difficult to navigate, let alone create something decent.

Still not sure what I’m doing?
Am I right in thinking that [download id=”1″] is converted to code by the server and inserted into the page?

I don’t think the referendum was about the Torys. I think Murdoch did a deal with Cameron saying his paper would back him in exchange for a referendum. The same with May, I think Murdoch killed off the other contenders because May is in his pocket.

I’m still hopefull that Brexit will fizzle out and Corbyn will become PM.
I don’t believe Corbyn wants to leave the EU. I haven’t once seen him lie – avoid the question maybe but not lie – and he said he was 75% Remain, 25% Leave. He has no choice but to do ‘what the public want’ at the moment, if he did he would lose the Labour Leavers but he wouldn’t gain any Tory Remainers. May would have a had a decent majority at the last election and Brexit would be heading to a triumphant No Deal by now.
If Brexit fails the Torys stand no chance of winning any election and while Corbyn has gone along with the majority he has fought hard to keep our options open. He is the reason we have some kind of vote on it. He is the reason a second referendum hasn’t been rules out. Corbyn can mop up at the next election but every major Tory will have Brexit failure behind them.
However, I do believe that Corbyn could have achieved Brexit and probably would have done had he won the last election. When Corbyn is PM, regardless of if he is a good one or not, he will get rid of a lot of corruption and greed in the system hopefully get the chance to show the public what real politics can be like.

Yeah, I’m a postie and we sort all the ‘business replies’ seperately. They are then checked for weight and counted, then delievered in the usual way but charged for on account.
I don’t do that job but I believe items are charged based on the label, e.g. 1st or 2nd class and if there is a recorded delivery sticker without extra postage prepaid it will be charged to the company as though postage was not paid.i7 4790s / 8GB / 480GB SSD / GTX 980 / 34" UltraWide : i3 4170 / 8GB / 480GB SSD / GTX 770 / 24" Samsung : i3 4130 / 8GB / 500GB Spinner / GTX 1050 / 23" Acer : Q9550 / 8GB / 1TB Spinner / GTX 580 / 22" Acer : i7 720QM / 8GB / 1TB+2TB+500GB Spinners (server) : i5 4570 / 8GB / 60GB SSD / 1TB / GeForce 210 / 22" Dell It's getting warm in here!
I researched Heat Pumps when I was trying to heat my pool. It took me ages to understand how they work but I will summarise what I have learned (in my language, sorry, don’t know the proper terms)
Compressing a volume of air causes it to get hotter because it has a fixed quantity of energy in it and the smaller the space that energy occupies the hotter the gas becomes. From this, you can see that the maximum amount of energy you can get out of a volume of air has a limit and the energy required to compress the air would become infinite. It turns out that if you compress a very large volume of air by a very small amount you can get more energy out of it than the energy you put into it! (No, it isn’t perpetual motion, the output energy has a lower potential).
Greatest efficiency is achieved when input and output temperatures are roughly equal, i.e. when inside and outside are both the same temperature. At this point you can get about 4KW out for every 1KW you put in.
The benefits drift off quite quickly the larger the difference between inside and outside (i.e. the potential is greater – which is how the heat pump works). So, my summary is that heat pumps work great when it’s about 15’C outside but would just essentially be normal electric heating in the middle of winter.

I saw him a few days ago. He opened with the approximate line “24 on trial, 8 of them named Mohammed”. He just follows trials around looking for any bad ones involving Muslims and promotes then to stir racial hatred.
There is a freetommy facebook page with lots of pitcure of the Daily Racist … oops, Mail saying when will people realise what is going on. Totally misses the point that it is the racism in the headlines which is what he should be noticing.
He was arrested because the trial is on a press gagging order (not surprising after the very recent Cliff Richard episode) and he was broadcasting people, faces and names.
Not a particularly nice chap.

We had an amazing storm about 2am and another about 4pm (just south of Coventry). Both consisted of a couple of hours of constant thunder – i.e. no gaps, just one rolling thunder on top of the next. Some awesome flashes too, often 10 within 10 seconds.

I think the EU directives are relative rather than specific and relate to a percentage reduction in emissions rather than their specific sources. Germany had a disproportionate number of coal power stations in the 90’s when the targets were set and as such it appears to have slightly laxer rules. This just isn’t really true, there is no way we’d want to start burning coal again, it just isn’t as good as other sources of fuel.
Not two-faced directives, just one rule for all – some you win, some you lose.

Reminds me of when I was looking for rechargeable batteries and charger for an XBOX 360 on ebay. Found one about £14.00 iirc with ‘instant delivery’ to collect at Argos. So I had a look at Argos …. £11 for the same thing!

Oh, and yes – I’m not sure my diesel will pass the MOT because of the DPF. I will make sure I take it for a full cycle (drive 60mph in 4th gear for 10 mins according to the manual … or something like that) before I get an MOT.

When I first looked up what the Exhaust Gas Recycler valve does it took me ages to understand it. It’s not quite to reduce the temperature, it is to lower the quantity of oxygen. When the engine is not under load there is more oxygen in the engine than amount of fuel requires which causes Nitrogen to bond with the free Oxygen creating toxic gases. To combat this some of the exhaust gas is fed back into the engine, effectively reducing the cc of the engine.
Most diesels chuck out soot when you put your foot down, in fact it’s quite good for them to do it once in a while!
On another note, petrol is over £1.20 again! Ouch.

I have a little 250ml spray of rubbing alcohol. It’s great, especially for cleaning glasses. It is very poor for inorganic things like oil but when you’ve finised a quick clean with alcohol is best.
