I really can’t see the night mode. Can someone post a screenshot, or a thick note as my mum would call it.
I don’t see the night filter option lee. I’ll never use it, or not for while as Google phones what a really good at night filter. And before that id use ‘twilight’ app. It’s very good.
If you’re having some difficulty at night, you should try it. Basically, they just mute the blues and raise the red levels. I gist have mine set to a home on when the sun goes down. if I’m watching a sci-fi I may turn it off (pause it), but other than that I let “it” decide when it should be on/off.
Yes dark blue, I have to zoom right in to tell, but I like it. The logo is stopping (as in staying or going?) To me it’s fine, and the speed great.
Though I thought the logo had just changed. Last week. I like either.
Nice router have the 66U variant , and its way more router than I need. But I like you can put different os on etc. Also super easy to use the software that it comes with, unlike any other router I’ve used.
The menu is fine, but I’d like a ‘recent posts’ button somewhere. As I’ve found it quicker to hit back then refesh the recent page. Than opening the side menu, then opening the drop down , then finally hitting ‘recent posta’
I do like the menu , and I really like the colour set up atm, just the buttons most used often need to be closer than 3 clicks away .
I know a real 1st world issue lol.
Maybe it’s just how I use the forum. Maybe you should poll the membership to see what buttons they most use. Pick out a place for say 3 buttons , and put the top 3 buttons in them slots.
Are you keeping the black and white theme? It looks slick. Talking of slick, have you moved server or something ? It feels quicker.
Lol, I’m not even using a PC! I just suck at sound.
Install a pdf/doc scanning type app, like office lens, from Microsoft on your phone.
Point phone at a document takes a photo from within the app.
You don’t need a dedicated app, you could use the camera app but then you’d have jpegs etc .. Instead of a dot pdf.
Even if you have a lower end phone with a poorer camera, it will still make an excellent scanner, just make sure the room/document is decently lit. Even the cheapest phones are 8mp, so will make a good shooter of docs and receipts.
I’ve seen someone once, set up their phone on a homemade a tripod, facing down, so you can switch in out docs and scan real fast. Probably worth it if you’re scanning a big backlog.
The good thing about office lens is it cute off all the leftover space, and make a “quick and clean” copy all in focus and in the frame.
It’s a good app. I don’t think I’ve used my current scanner (on my printer ) since I got it. Which would be over a year.
One question, is a powered sub and an active sub the same thing ?
Cheers, I’ll be patient, as I’m not that bothered about great sound. I’ve we shill had box TVs, i wouldn’t probably even of got ss. the main reason is the poor quality of sound from almost all flat tvs.
Sound level of flat tvs arw fine, its the nature of the sound i have, i can only discribe it as flat and muddy, on all flat tvs I’ve heard.
I should have just got a £50 sound bar with sub. However there is no fun in that. And the Onkyo amp looks cook next to the ps4 and amazon box. It looks for of retro cool. And to most people (inc me) looks expensive and geeky.
Looking it up it was never expensive, but way more than do of spent on one. At £40 and 40 mins drive, its probably a decent deal , but new it was around £300 . i couldn’t justify that. I have to many other expensive ways of burning cash, im not taking up audio too.
I have been using my phone and office lens (iirc) to record the majority of my stiff like that, so much faster than any scanner
I don’t see it as cheating as long as your not playing against other humans.
I like city builder games, and I’ll almost always play my first few runs in sandbox mode, as even with unlimited money and all options available, there is still the task of actually getting everything to smoothly and grow.
I like the traffic management the best, so i like unlimited cash . as all limiting cash does is slow you down to a crawl in the early days. There is still many limiting factors even with unlimited cash.
Some games, like transport fever , when i don’t think I’ve even played it out of sandbox mode.

As ed says your phone will be fine. The power brick if not branded, id keep an eye on it.
I have many cheapish battery banks, none have had issues. Not to say they don’t exist, but you only hear of the bad ones, not the millions of good ones that quietly go about their business.
Yes, atm it’s running with just front L centre and R and sounds more than good enough.
However, I want the sub for when i play call of duty ww2. I want to feel the shells dropping in my chest cavity lol.
On the whole, i agree with you about subs, even when turned right down, id still be able to hear/feel it from my bedroom in the small hours
However we don’t have the neighbour issue, we live in a semi and both houses have the hallways in the centre, which makes for a great sound isolator. Luckily for them.
At this point I dont think I have a way to find out the model number of the old set up, the “amp” part got binned at the end of the summer.
The sub that came with the Philips SS is defo not powered , it just has a normal twin speaker wire coming out of it. I’d suspect a powered sub would have a second power lead as well as the audio wire .
This is how new I am to this side of things .
It’s been the best part of a week, so all our members would have seen this. So it will now slide gracefully down the forum to wherever old posts go to rest. (Probably Lee’s basement or the cat litter tray).

The centre micro usb is almost certainly the power input for charging the bank, and the two USB 2 ports are for charging phones etc off the battery bank.
Thanks It’s just speaker wire, but yes something like you have drawn there, (full marks btw) should work.
I’ll have to update this in a few days.
List been looking at subs, they seem to come in two setups, the standard speaker twin wire in pit or a single RCA connector (im hoping that’s the term), my lad has one that will fit in the RCA input, my Onkyo has. so tomorrow ill test his out.
Now my question is can a twin wire set up be converted easily to an RCA male input?
This probably makes no sense, without pictures. Why can life not be simple?
Happy Xmas all. Just woke, the house is still quiet. I don’t think I’ll spoil that just yet.
I’m dying for a pee, but as soon as i open the bedroom door, the dogs will sure wake, which in turns wakes the house.
Im just gonna lie here until i hear a kid move. Until then I’m just gonna lie here busting.
An early Xmas has never been a thing in our house. Give the kids seem to have my sleep pattern, well mine as a kid, can’t get sleep, so can’t wake. My issue is by 18 is forgot about the liking of the lie in part of that setup. I just get to sleep late and wake up not long after. Though last night i was asleep for two. So had decent sleep.
The neighbours just got up, can one smoking out the back.
Also my dental work 10 days ago no is a blown abscess, which the blames me for. Saying i still have to visit her mum for dinner. Between us, I’ll show my face, then retire home. I’m yet to break this news.
I’ll wait till after the give giving.
