I just got a 1.3 ka myself for my girl. I collect it on monday. Bought it unseen, on my bil word its in good shape. It was his RAF sgt friends wife’s, so got it for £100, which is probably its scrap value. But at 45k miles and a decent mot, with no flags on the old one, it should of been about £600 so saved daddy a few quid.

And they are silly cheap to insure for kids, not so much for me, 260 for me, or 500 for me and the girl. Her current shit box (307 iirc) is £1700 to insure .

Diesels take a lot more effort to start than petrol. My MiLs 1l ka came to my rescue a few years back, my 2l d needed to have the ka attacked for a few mins and some raving to get enough juice In it to start.

The battery in the ka was about ⅓ the size of the laguna.

WF had TC from day one as it -is- was the dialer app of choice of cyanogen.

Personally, I love TC if it wasn’t a thing, id of changed my number years ago. It filters at least 20 spam calls again. Also, love that it tells me who is calling even if I don’t have them on my phone.

I’d ignore their privacy policy as they already have your details, so you may as well take advantage of their pros. Even if you now opt out, you’re still in the system.

The mobile world is very broken when it comes to privacy matters. A lot of apps will scrape your phone or more to the point people you know phones, for numbers, all these numbers go on the system. So you can be as private as you like, but if just one of your friend’s, acquaintances, or business businesses you deal with, aren’t ‘locked down’ all your info is given away.

Reminds me of some people, including me, that won’t do FB cos of privacy. However, FB knows who we are, your phone number, and probably your address too. Google is another. There is no point hiding. They know who you are.

The app scraping one has always amazed me that it’s legal for one person to agree to share contact info with other people. It’s fundamentally flawed. Though thinking about it, these app requests to ‘search for friends’ seem to of gone away, or im not seeing many these days. Though the horse has already bolted.

Back to TC, great app and service.

We had an old(er) guy work for our family business back home. He was a bricklayer, 65 and went for a hip replacement. In under 7 days, he was begging to come back to work.

The lads would lift him in and out the van, and set him up running corners up. Seen Jim a few weeks ago when I went back home, now mid-80s and bored as hell. He was such a hard worker, he easily put the teens and early 20 something lads to shame.

Set it update in the night. Think mine to 5am. By default I think it goes to 3am, but being a night owl, I find 5am holds less of a chance than 3am to bug me.

I’ve always thought an option to update when turning off should be an option, on the pop up notification

I can defo understand the hairs bit. WHEN Anfield is on song YNWA is something else, Field of Anfield road (Athenry), it does update though.

I also love ‘poor scouser Tommy’ one that took me years to learn, really nothing to do with Liverpool really, but a great song to rally behind, about more aggressive than YNWA. Sadly its some of the old ones that are slowly dying out.

If only i had the internet in the 90s, 2 seconds to look up the words. Me and my mates literally took years, and had arguments over what the lyrics was. There are some obvious wholes in the timeline. Unless we had another Rush pre WW2.

                  Here it is .

Let me tell you the story of a poor boy, who was sent far away from his home,

to fight for his king and his country, and also the old folks back home,

So they put him in a highland division, sent him off to a far foreign land,
where the flies swarm around in their thousands, and there’s nothing to see but the sand. the battle it started the next morning, under the radiant sun,

I remember that Poor Scouser Tommy, he was shot by an old Nazi gun.

As he lay on the battlefield dying (dying-dying), with the blood gushing out of his head,
as he lay on the babattlefieldying (dying-dying), These were the last words he said…..

OOOH, I am a Liverpudlian, I come from the Spion Kop,
I like to sing, I like to shout, I go there quite a lot!

To support a team that plays in red, a team that we all know,
a team that we called Liverpool, to glory we will go!

We won the league, we won the Cup, we’ve been to Europe too,
we played the Toffee’s for a laugh, and left them feeling blue! 5-0!

                  1 2, 1 2 3, 1 2 3 4, 5-0!

I have two west ham questions BL, what is with the blowing bubbles song? To the outsider, its hardly seems inspiring and it’s not intimidating, not unlike Blue moon on Manchester.

My second question, what is with the two super fake towers. To me, they just looked tacky, reminds me of Disney.

Xiaomi do great action cams. On par with go pro but well cheaper. The 1080p on is £50 on amazon, when new it bettered the current go pro in every way bar sound iirc. They sell a 4k one for about £160 witch is cheaper than go pro, but over kill unless your making proper videos.

Usually, 8h makes me feel worse. I would say “let’s see if i can sleep tonight”, but i think im getting a bug of some sort (damn your children’s hospital yesterday) as since about 10 am onwards I’ve started it feel worse and worse ??

                                Typical.

I’d love my body to decide it wanted 8h from now on. Ever since i joined up, over not had any type of pattern. I am better then i was. But still it’s a mess.

I thought if you actually navigated to the subforum, then hit add new, it just plunked it im that subforum. But if you used the quick add new button you need to select where you want it to go via the drop down.

Like i say, ive only used the quick add button, that use to live at the very top left. Iirc it was a grey cross on a black background. Though knowing me it was a pink cross on a green stripe

Wow i had to google car genie, and wow, i particularly dislike the AA, i think everything they do is overpriced, especially their breakdown cover, but this takes the biscuit.

a dressed up obd2 reader for a discounted price of £29 for members. How much for non-members.

You can get get obd2 readers for under a fiver on eBay. Also if tou use a compare type search engine you’ll find a load of breakdown providers that piggyback off AA and RAC for about 1/3 of the cost.

With my old car i use to a company called Green (or similar). Iirc it was the rac that came to my rescue. My new car come with cover, but ive never used it. Im sure it’s AA. But never taken the card out of it’s home under the dash.

When you’re creating a new topic, under the main “text input” box, there is a drop-down menu. That is where you select what sub-forum you want your new topic to live.

Since about day one mods (at least) have had this interface. Tbh its the only way I’ve ever created a thread. But I’ve always had mod privileges.

I think the other way to do it, is the way you ended up doing it, go to the forum you want then hit the “add new topic”, this will negate the need of the drop-down menu i mentioned above . as instead of telling the forum where you want it (via the drop down) you have already navigated to the place first.

                                      I hope this makes sense.
