Them bags are excellent. We use them, the liquid is super corrosive and works wonders. Wear the provided gloves or better still a pair of marigolds.

If you don’t have anywhere to place the bags when in use, id recommend the shed just incase they puncture overnight. The goo will ruin anything it comes into contact with. That’s where the wife (by instruction) puts them.

If you go for the plastic tub route, white vinegar is the way to go, or cheap bottled cola, soak them for about 3 days and you’ll get similar results.

The bags and its goo is the best and least hassle approach tho. The vinegar approach is reusable. But not on your chips ?

Go your local discount shop, or even supermarket. And grab a large storage box. They are £5 in my local cheap shop (not pound shop), or atm tesco have them for £7. I buy loads of them, to organise my attic.

They add up, so i buy a couple a week. Been doing it since last Feb, when i finished boarding the loft out.

That obvious but why so it yourself, when an app can automate it for you.

For my car fuel i use fuelio, o could do it by hand, its hardly hard, but fuelio makes it’s seamless and cloud saves, so i never lose any data. My car is very ‘optimistic’ ony mpg always staying around 36mpg, however its closer to 28mpg and never breached 33mpg. The 33mpg was achieved over a 4000mile round trip to sothern Spain. 3000 of which was motorway miles, doing a steady 85 to 90. My old laguna would do 65mpg on that type of run and averaged 55mpg every full up. The current car falls shy of its Average 65mpg Vx states. I once spent a week (full tank) driving slow, genital acceleration never going above the limits, went down to manchester, then to somewhere near stoke, and didn’t go over 60 on the motorway, in 6th, real careful ‘green’ driving i hit a whole 36mpg. It wasnt worth the tedium for about 20 extra miles a tank.

At 11pm im off to manchester airport for my lad, i sure on be doing 60 then!

i don’t monitor my gas and electric usage. I canceled my smart matter fitting with NPower as my fixed term ended and my bill almost doubled. So i switched to SSE and canceled the meter, at the last momenr. My prices is back to the initial NPower prices was, for the next 2 years (or may be one).

Don’t bother making one, today i received the one i ordered of eBay (link below). I didnt hole out much hope that it would make any major difference. Wow was i wrong, its instant and the difference is huge. Its like turning on one of those electric fan heaters that eat electricity.

Its a little louder than id like, but not loud, you cant hear it over the tv or radio, but of reading it may be an issue.

I cant comment on longevity but I’d recommend this. For £29 its not worth the effort and cost of making one. Also it looks decent to.

Its been a while since something over delivered on my expectations. Sadly for me, the wife has pin pointed 3 other rads she wants some for.

I’d also recommend these for rads that arent blocked, heats a room up so much quicker

I would like it to be controlled by a heat sensor instead of manually, but i have a hand full of sonoff basic inline smart switches, that would make this an almost perfect product, and take 5 mins to mod. Have it trigger from my cheapo £5 xiaomi thermometers i have.

I think when they test, they just test for that they are looking for. As the wife has multiple tests a week, monitoring god knows what, each dept sends a different sample for test each week.

No one spotted her ear infection that has been on and off for a good 18 months, and worst last year no one noticed the C diff that landed her in isolation for 10 weeks.

So i can only gather, they can only test for what they are looking for. There must be a one MOT style test. Yesterday i woke to a sore lump im my ear lobe, its probably a spot, but it’s yet to break the surface, and feels like it’s on fire. Not good for someone that lives with earphones on for 16h a day. Usually.

got a kids party back home 2-4 then 3 tickets to the football. Tho my 9yo already has a cold, so im not sure what is going to happen about the footy. It should be a good’n with Rafa returning. But i can see now her not wanting to go. ?

There is some quite graphic sex and death scenes already. So if that’s not to your taste, this game won’t be for you.

Will have to check the nude mod out lol

Pm, imagine you scenario but on a 1:3 up hill. Mine isn’t going anywhere soon.

The neighbour spent 20 mins defrosting his car, was able to pull away, as rear wheels to begging with drive over the protected bit of road, but once his rear wheels touched the show and ice, the game was up. So he rolled it back to where it was.

I went the shop earlier, quite an adventure down the alleyway, but the main roads are clear. The issue for us, and many id imaging is the first and last, few hundred meters.

Though im hearing more and more of road closures in the area, so the council may be running low on grit and rationing/targeting more and more.

My girls even sick of the snow, she is off today, and i said at 9am you can play out later, she said no, she is currently playing with her mates online, road blox or mine craft .

My eldest went Egypt on Monday, so is in 30 degree heat (lucky sod) he is home late Monday, so hope it clears up for his flight home, and my drive to manc land.

It’s a very pretty game, and the history is apparently accurate. My only issue is how much dialogue there is. After a while it’s a bit much. But it does keep the game moving.

The save issue, was a feature of the game, you are meant to collect (or brew maybe) save potions. This makes it cumbersome in the beginning, but i imaging, once your deep into the game, you can afford to buy as many as you like.

                        Not practically good for starters.

A lot of snow yesterday and through the night, all schools in the area decided by 7pm last night  that schools and colleges would not be opening.

Hospital appointment has again been pushed, which is a good job as my car and the neighbours is not getting out our road with out someone gritting our road, which isn’t going to happen, as the grit box that i park next to is empty.

One of the old dears will lilrlt report that to the council and they’ll re fill it some time in August.

Also my heating got turned on at 6am, (timer) normal weekly winter time, and not at 09:18, its still cold. I must be getting old.

Can hear the next neighbour (nice guy) out the front warming his car, i may film him, as he has the posh coupe bmw, iirc 640, a big power full rear wheel beast. our road to get out, is a 1 in 3 incline, with a very tight turn at the top. his car is longer than mine, and i know if i don’t nail the positioning i cant get round in one, so he will need to be more exact. I cant see it ending well, its tight turn between a House and a mountain retaining stone wall.

There is two trains of thought in radiator positioning. Thr usal method is the exterior walls, under windows, i put all mine, well the majority, on the centre core wall. So the wall itself can heat up, like a chimney breast breast does. Seems to work ok. It does mean that the rads don’t get covered by curtains and draw the heat through the window.

Probably lots of pros and cons to each method.

Well we had no chance of getting out this morning. So doc was cancelled. When we called the ozzy, they said they was about to call us as they was short staffed, to see if we could push it till tomorrow. So not the worst outcome.

                              Lets see what tomorrow brings.

Update- my next Monday delivery turned up 2 mins ago. So very pleased as is my tortoise as it was her heat bulb .the cold weather seems to of pop it. I see amazon took the under promise and over deliver approach, rather than the the opposite. Most other companies, would of just left it as normal next day, even if the chance was high they would miss it. I was expecting it, tomorrow or sat, if honest. I thought Monday was extremely conservative.

In the end it took them about 17h. Well done. Though my eBay buys this week also have delivered faster than usual, which is bizzar. So royal mail is keeping up too. 5 stars all round.

For their price and reviews, and esthetics (allso time and effort) id just buy one. Amazon have some. But if you can wait, wish you’ll probably get one of next to noting, but you’ll wait a month for delivery.

I’ve said for years ill try one, as our rad is also behind the couch but never have. Apparently, its been chilly in there this week, the fire has been put on. First time in over a year, so it didn’t smell too good, a lot of burning dust smells. I don’t go in there often, so it slips my mind. Also, the kids take after me, (hot blooded), so it was only ever the wife that moaned about it being chilly, but for the last 5 years or more, after a hysterectomy she has been going through “the change”, so is always hot, (welcome to my world). So the moaning stopped about the chilly lounge.

First i found on Amazon. Radfan Classic Small – Low Power Radiator Fan https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00V86WEDG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_eC-LAbEW5H50A0

Couldn’t find one on wish, but they will ne there, just a matter of figuring the right search term out.

The stove top one are meant to be a must for those with a stove. Found some from £13 (maybe even $, tho not much diffence atm.) .

My girl  was very annoyed yesterday, as I sent her back to bed at 07:30, as all the local schools was reporting closures. Then at 08:00 her school announced it would be open as usual. The only school to open for miles around.

So when I woke her back up, she wasn’t best pleased. But then I told her, that they will most likely be short staffed, and you’ll have a fun day. Which turned out true, they played in the snow for a few hours, then watched videos in the hall, drinking hot chocolate to get warm. Many kids did stay off, (that didn’t need to), but to me they missed out, as its day like this that they will remember forever .

Today the snow and ice was worse than yesterday, but all schools are open, and it was “boring work” as usual.

                                    Direct quote from the child.

Managed to get my car up and around the corner earlier with little difficulty, however getting it back down was a pita, with lots of sideways movement. Luckily I was sliding away from the wall, and eventually got some grip. If id of been sliding the other way, id of just abandoned it. Which would of made my lovely “Christian” neighbours day as I was stuck outside her drive.

We have to be out for 8.30 in the morning for the docs, then onto the hospital. High chance that we will miss both.

JC you need to watch with clearing pathways. If someone trips after you have cleared it your liable. If you don’t touch to your not.

Totally stupid, and the opposite to how it works in the US. There your responsible to clear your pathway and the bit of path outside your property. It should be this way here. But isn’t.

All high school and colleges was closed today. Jn school was in as enough teachers live local.

My car, and my neighbours are all stranded in oir street. So no one has been out today.

This was the view out of my girls classroom at 8am, it was about 5”. Nothing has melted throughout the day, and it’s snowing again.

We never get the, so quite a rare thing.
