I see your linked with a free move for Balotelli. If i was you i would leave him where he is. We gambled i thin £11m on him, which at the time i thought wasn’t a bad price, for what he could be.

Lsadly he was awful for us, and we just couldn’t give him away. Iirc his wage bill was huge too. He has had two decent seasons in France, so he may make a good free transfer.

Shame as he had all the potential, but i think the guy is a tad slow tbh.

That’s good. i thought they dropped in the liner then fill around it with some form of concrete style filler. I don’t know why o think that, i seem to recall seeing something like that on a program many years ago. But maybe they was going somthing else.

Sad times at your gaff, i suppose anything is good, as long as it distracts from the clubs issues.

Its very sad what’s happening down there. ?

Yes the chimney defo needs a pro to look over it. I can tackle most jobs, but that isn’t in my wheelhouse.

It’s one of them ‘on the list’ jobs. We are away for 4 weeks in the summer, i may get someone out while away, to look at the chimney and leave FiL in charge to make any decisions.

I’m not a big fan of having builders in the house while I’m there. Given i work from home, that’s almost always.  So may get the FiL take care of it while we are away.

I always feel lazy sat there while others are doing work . bit i am a little strange lol

At the end of last summer i (cough my lad) skimmed off the turf from my back lawn. We have been treating it over the winter and an waiting to out new turf down, i was hoping to have it done by now, easter at the latest. So i really want this cold weather to F-off.

On the russsia point, we look like children calling Russia names. It’s a bit embarrassing thb. We have been doing this and sabre rattling for 20 years. And now we wonder how we got here.

I liked that in the middle of the UK Russia mess, or ‘special friend the USA congratulating Pitin on his re election, as we was evicting the Russians from our soil.

Our MPs think we can call on the us, and even (lol) EU for back up, they are mental, we cant. It’s about time we learn out place.

In other news i lol, like for real, on the news that our new blue Passports will be made in France. Oh the irony. Lofl. It could only been sweeter if Russia was producing them.

Yes dave. Our kitchen is the coldest room in out house, plus id like a was to minimise the recyclable rubbish, once the blue bin starts to fill. Especially as 3-week cycle is being trialled in a close by council.

May even go with an open coal fire in the kitchen and a wood burner in the lounge, but only if we need to do nothing with the lounge half of the chimney, given its mostly an ornament.

Our lounge is small so would turn into an oven if it had a proper fire fitten, but is cosy. We would probably only light it xmas eve to set the scene. It’s the only day/evening of the year i can guaranty that me and the wife will be in there at the same time. I probably sit in there 5 times a year. I don’t watch tv, and the couch (all sofas) kill my back after 30mins. I much prefer a desk chair. Far more supportive.

I wish my house was insulated, it’s over 100 years old, has no cavities, and the gable end faces out to sea, pointing north. Also, it’s very drafty. Mainy down to the vents that supply airflow to the wooden sub floors.

The wife use to be an always cold person, but since she got ill and on HRT she is now always hot, no matter the temp. I was always an outdoors person, so I don’t really feel the cold, and I overheat quickly. As I’m getting older I do feel the cold more than before.

The kids have just been brought up in a colder house, so none of them mind. The moan when the heating is on too long in fact.

For the first 5 years we lived in the house, we had no central heating, we would sleep in thermals and bob hats december and jan, and  have quilts on the couches for tv viewing in the evenings. 7 years from fitting CH  I got round to insulating the loft. only because I was boarding the loft out, so knew that that would be my final chance. Over the last summer, I started to insulate the underside of the roof tiles, to keep a more stable temperature in the attic space.

It’s made a great storage space now. it is full of racks with storage boxes. But still, it’s not organised properly.

Our house sits around 16° to 18° in the winter (currently 17 at 22:30). In the summer the rear or the house gets hot, but as the front sits in the shadow of the mountain, never getting sun, so it doesn’t get above 18ish, (its probably 15 is in there now). It’s very nice for when the temps are reaching 25 to 30 outside. it’s like walking into a fridge. It’s great.

I have an antie that has there heating on 24/7, except for July and August, and for about 6 months of the year has the gas fire burning. The place literally takes your breath away.

When we had the snow, we tried to put our electric fire on, and it was broken. It haven’t been turned on in about 4 years, so god knows what’s up with it. We decided, not to bother replacing it, as we like the look of the one we have, and never use it. So what would be the point

We do want a small wood burner in the kitchen. It has a breast etc, we just need the chimney inspecting and we should be good to go. As the two chinmleys are connected (i think, we may end up with a burner in the lounge too.

That’s what I meant. Oh well. The top looks so good with out the sooner. So retro.

The only game I watched during the whole fomo was the wales Italy womens, well I watched the first half, hung over waiting to check out a hotel. Was like watching school boy rugby, but loved their top.

Random question you guys may know the answer too.

Can you buy the Women’s Italian home jersey? If so does it come in mens sizes. I want one.

12 or 13 for me. A 17 feels like a house. Though id always take an 8″ tablet over a 10″ for the same reasons.

Today it’s not about the weight as even the 17s are light enough. It’s the size that I dislike. Though my wife likes a 15″, or rather liked, over my 12″ thinkpad, cos her eyes are poor. If she upped the dpi to what she likes, hardly any text fits on a 12″. She would of probably preferred a 17″, but she fornd the 15″ to heavy. In the end she moved to my xps1330, hated thr 13″ screen, but was about half the weight of her 15″ dell.

She now doesn’t use a laptop at all. Phone and tablet only. Mostly phone.

Woke up this morning to the sound of thr boiler doing its thing. So the house must of dropped below 14 in the night.

No fresh snow last night, just the same few patches left that didn’t melt yesterday. Given it’s still on zero outside, they will probably be there tomorrow also.

                                Hurry up spring.

That is a proper car BoB, and a sort of a unicorn car these days. My friend, well acquaintance of 10 years, soon to be friend ? just got a 2001 Integra type R. We are gonna be proper bezzies. He doesn’t know yet?

I was accepted in to the marines at 5′ 6″, and 8.5stone. 4 years later on discharge I was 5′ 8″ and 14stone. That’s what my discharge papers say

Currently somewhere between 13 and 13.5 stone. Slightly (cough) squdgier than I was back then. Just north of 82kg. First time I’ve looked up my weight in kg’s.

I prerfer Stone, as 13 is smaller than 82 ?

the settings you can turn the phone on to always listening even when locked. However its jot or miss. Some times that works other time it ignores you.

So now ill always when in car touch the figure print sensor. Before my phones had a fingire print sensor, I never bothered locking my phone, and opted to lock ‘sensitive’ apps with App Lock

Since the introduction to figure print reader, sadly I’ve not used it since but a great app to secure apps that access money, or sensitive apps. God know why firefox won’t let me copy and paste anywhere but the top.

Back the the ok google phrase, the home speakers, you can speak as quick ad possible. However with phones the slower your phone (rich yours isn’t perticually slow, we have 2 g4 none play phones in the house) the bigger the pause between the trigger word and the action.

That is why I put a comma between the two. Maybe this is more accurate

                                    “Ok Google,…..Call home”

You can gauge the time but watching how which Googe Now fires into life.

I’ll be amazed if its an issue on Googles side, as it gets nothing put praise on how good their voice recognition is. Even for the most strangest of accents. Obviously some to confuse it, but the majority praise how good google is atm.

So the issue is most likely user error, talking too fast, or your phone’s mic has an issue.

Also on a related note google voice regonirion will not work without internet access, wifi or 4g. (3g may work). So this may be your issue, you may be super unlucky and just been in a ‘black spot’ when you was trying it out.

It’s a bit silly tbh and a pain, but it is what it is.

Hovered around 3 degrees all day here. However it was sunny and fresh, with a couple of light dustings. Currently it says its minus 1, but the house doesn’t seem cold.

It jas been windy the last two days, last night it was rattling the roof slates.

My dad was a coin collector his whole life, he had them all,  all the old rare ones, and full collections in wallet folders. Plus lots of random ones he thought would be worth something someday due to run lengths and even misprints.

His brother collected stamps in the same way.

Sadly my dad blended his days a penniless (ironically) drunk, when I searched his place (on Cardiff) the had long gone, as his Omega watch anything else worth selling.

Sad to see what addiction to do. A once ex-para, Falklands vet, excellent cabinet maker, Teetotal till 29 and dead by 42!

It’s a bizarre feeling to surpass (or almost) your father’s innings. Most will hit that around mid 60s and up, not early 40s.

Worst part is, he was very house proud, our house groumg up was like a palace, (on the inside, the area rough as..), so he would of come in really handy over the last ten years.

We had a flutter of snow, but it didn’t get cold enough to turn the heating on. Also, I was out from 7 am to 4 pm, so I was going to give it a bash 4 till the footy started. but when I got in no one had put the heating on, and no one was cold.

If this carries on the temp on off,  project will be shelved till around November. Simply because ill forget about it, until it next turns on.

Have you ever got it to call via voice? Have you activated the voice calling. If its not a google device, try installing the google now launcher and give it access. I dont think this should be done, but wont hurt for the experiment. Given you are altlready signed into your google (android) account, your not giving it anything it doesn’t already have. Plus you can in install after the test.

The majority of my phones come as stock with google now launcher already installed. The wife has a Huawei P9, but her first install is always google now launcher to mimic the clean ui
