If your only into one sport mostly. It’s makes more sense to just pay per game. Bt is 5pm so its worth the sub for me, it had a 3rd of pl football and all euro and fa cup. Sky only has its 3rd of pl games. And liverpool may play once a month on sky so ill pay them their £8

The issue with football is still this ancient rule of no 3pm Saturday game. So we all have to jump on an American stream.

I always get annoyed when you see these, ‘why do you have kodi?’ Polls come out, they never offer the option of zero access to saruray 3pm footy. Rather all answers lean towards some type of theft cos we don’t want to pay.

Most do, and i think if you can afford tou should pay. But in the PL 3pm sat case, i can’t pay. I’d love to have a sub to Bein sports. I did try once, its about £15, but couldn’t figure out a way to give them money.

Sky and sports really need to pivot quote quick, as my eldest lads generation, will not be big sky subscribers. All the numbers are already backing this up over the pond, where they are more advanced in IP tv and od than us.  Ironnic given 10 years ago they was almost 100% subscription tv.

That’s a great fix ED. If the lads runs out unfixable in thr normal way, i defo have the skills to do that. It would makes it pointless as a mobile them (defo for a teen), but i have one that that lives puggued in, that handles all the home automation etc. So i could repurpose the moto g4 for that. If all else fails.

They need moto go style two competitions in one. Give all teams the choice, of unlimited budget or fixed. And the only design rules are tou need to use thr Fia approved safety shell.

Tell the imaginations of the engineers go mad.

On the track side, bring back refuling, and drop the ome tyre for all, let teams pick again.

This way teams have so many veriables. Faster cars could try for no stop races nursing the cars aroind, slower cars 4 or 5 stops changing tures and splashing minimum fuel needed in, going flat out. And all the different combos inbetween.

Also ease up on the daft grid penalties for none relevant infractions.

Them few changes, would make a double champion ship, in one, but it waoild make two exciting ones. Well for the first 5 years untill the desiners and strat men figure it out.

As it it, playoff with logos and replacing grid girls, is basoclly re arangong the deck chairs.

Cheers you tricked me, as in a post above, you called it truecaller (i assume that an auto correct issue).

I wonder if the two, truecall and the app Truecaller are related.

I’ve said before, being so close to the mountain (big hill), well 2/3s up it, we could never get an analogue signal. We did have new aerials pit I’m by the local drunken spiderman (sadly had a stoke 5 years ago), but even then we got next to nothing

So we opted for sky. The think was when the digital switch over happens will drop sky. Well we are in the 5 percent that got a worse signal than before. So sky stayed until FTTC turned up, 8 months late. I kmoe as i was waiting impatiently.

The day i got switched on checked my speed, 76down and 24 out of 20 up, sky was history. Never looked back and saving about £100pm today vs 5 years ago. And that is pay for mow tv ent package £7, Netflix £7 and bt sports £5. Plus £24 for bb and phone.

£1200 a year savings, animus say 10x £8 for the odd sky sports game, is a sweet deal. For a superior tv time.

Superior because now i have to decide what i want to watch, meaning  in the mood to watch, vs the old way of flicking until i ce across somthimg ‘that would do’. Also when you have live tv, you (well meat least) would watch something then get sucked into whatever crap was on next. Somtjong id never choose to watch bit did ‘just cos it on’.

My reading and work has gone up, i watch less but watch better now. I don’t miss live tv. My girl that is now 9 was 4 when we pulled the plug. She was the only one to miss sky, the other 4 kids 11,14,16,18 (about that) never even noticed for w good week or two.

The 4 yo wanted her Disney ch back, but we soon forums Netflix kids, which filled that void. Now my 4 year old, will go to her nans and has no underandimg of broadcast tv. She things that’s just a sports thongs (she knows sports are live, cos I’ve kicked her out the room enough times), can’t get her head around you have to watch what the tv says. Also she can’t grasp the radio either. She says why do i want to listen to someone else choice. Hit next dad.

So she has a google play music playlist on my phone for the days we lisnt to music. It’s not that often ad I’m not a fan of music, rather lisnt to talk sport if have noting ony phone lined up.

              Welcome to the 21C.

Just looking up pi hole. And i found something out i never knew. (You lot probably did a decade ago)

In your routers dns host box, the one we change to either google or open dns, you can put your pi holes static IP in there. (Have your dns of choices set up in pi hole).

That way their is no messing on any of your connected devices.AAnd tou just connect staight to your router as normal.

I thought you had to connect your devices to the ras pi running pi hole. I don’t know why i thought this, but it’s what put me off in the past.

Defo going to do this tomorrow. I have a rad 1 2 and i think 3. Will the speed matter, or is any of them more than up to the task?

Tippon i don’t get that. My phone doesn’t call if it’s a spam number, so i don’t get the chance to answer the call. I’ve never seen that happen.

What phone do you have, is it an older or slower phone. I’ve been using TC for about 6 years. Cos it was bundled into CM Roms. Actually the baked in TC I’m CM was the best way to use TC, it worked so so well.

Now ever since i gave up my 1+1 for the nexus 6, and now pixel, i had to adapt a tad as the TC app isn’t quote as seemless, but its been that long, i can’t recall what it was i didn’t find as seamless.

Though I’ve never had it ring while deciding wether it was spam or not. Could that be a CPU thing. Ad I’ve often wondered how it works it out so fast. I speculated (to my self) it may hold the call for an extra second before connection, or before it decides to ring my end, using that extras ring cycle to make its choice.

I wonder if it uses a downloaded spam table, device side, (probaly not) or is it reliant on internet speed? If its the latter, i wonder what would happen if i was to disable both data and wifi. Would all the spam calls sail through.

White and black list are device side, so that would no doubt work ad normal, as would withheld numbers, but i wonder how spam walls would fair. Not really an experiment i want to do, so ill probably never know.

Cool, god knows why i couldn’t find it. I paid £23 my Gmail tells me. So not a bad rise consisting the state of the pound. The 150mbps model i found was £50!

A great bit of kit, that iirc can do 4 separate jobs. Tplink kit never seems to fail. My home plugs, are the same, set and forget. It’s amazing, and sad, when you’re amazed something just works, and keeps on working.

I use true caller on my mobile, it filters out all spam calls, and you can one touch black list numbers. If so many peeps black list a number, the system blocks it for all.

A combination of that, and keeping my phone on priority calls only. Keeps my very old phone number quiet.

Android priority calls feature is very good. Though you need a bit of nouce to set it up. It’s as simple as activating it, then going through your contact list and ‘starring’ what numbers you want to make your phone ring. All other calls, that true caller let’s through, will be silent. That way i can decide if i want to call someone back.

My starred contacts, are close family, (not all) doctors, some NHS numbers, and work numbers that are usually times sensitive. Oh and my mechanic. Other than that i ignore all calls. And have a block on all private unlisted numbers. I’ll decide if i want to talk to someone in my own time.

It’s a shame we need to manage phone calls so much.

I’d like a facebook type system, at i first have to ‘friend’ before they can even contact be. One big global database, where your name and a bit of info about you (user discretion), so anyone can request to contact me, but you can turn the down and blacklist them from asking again.

A system like that is needed for phone and email. What’s great and also bad, is we sort of have this with Facebook, but no one trusts them. I still think they are that big they now won’t fail (famous last words), and one day they will be the defacto world communication network.

Umtill then its a matter of anally micromanaging your own contacts.

If you’re talking about landline call management, there is a company that sells a type of intercepted box that pre-screens numbers. I can’t recall its name, but I’m sure on of the MM for mum members got one and spoke highly of it. I’m not sure who, or if they migrated here after the apocalypse

I only pay TT £24pm for line rental, 80/20 and truly unlimited data. Ive never been able to get them to throttle me. For the last 5 years, we have been over 700gb down, every month. It’s probably more mow, but since tt went truly unlimited across the board, they retired there online usage meter. Which i liked, but understood why they retired it.

Now BB had some bad PR over exams time. Can’t recall what it was, but remember as that how i found out they now do BB. But i can only guess that its the same as sky, given ntv is just a sky subsidiary. So whatever you don’t like about sky, you’ll probaly not like NTV

Why was tour sky bill so expensive, did you have some type of tv too? I really can’t see the point in having sky tv now. The Now tv £7 pm and bt sports £5pm and Netflix £7pm covers the the spectrum (for me) that skys top package did, for the price of sky’s lowest package.

So now £46pm covers what once sky cost me £115 (sky muli room) plus about £35 for line rental and bb. For the few things i (dont) miss, I’m happy with my £110pm savings. I’d imagine now sky tv multiroom plus sky bb is cheaper than my once mental tv an bb bill, but even so, i couldn’t be tempted to go back.

Oh i forgot, ialso get tt tv in with my bundle. Bit given we cant get the ota channels here, i never looked it up. I did at the inlaws house, and the ui they use is the best in the business. Cant recall the name (youview maybe), its brilliant. My inlaws are terrible with tech, but they got it without instruction, the seamless way they use OD baked into the tv guide is five star.

To get wifi to the inlaws tt tv box i had to use a TpLimk nano travel router 300mnps, its been running with out fail, over behind my inlaws tv for 4 years, without them calling me once that their tv was on the wobble. That’s quite impressive indeed.

Looks like the nano router may no longer be for sale. Amazon only seem to have the 150mbps model at twice the price i paid for mine. I also have the hootoo travel passport version, that i use in the car to create a media server in the car and a lan for in car entertainment, that too just works and is over 2 years old.

If you are a relatively light user, you could go 4g at 15 to 20gb a moth for about £20.

Or call tt or bt and see if you can move and take a contract with you. I’d only go with a single phone and bb provider just to make the switch simpler if needed.

Earlier the speed was ok, maybe a tad slower than before, but atm its very slow. About 8 to 11s from click to page load.

The home selling is an annoyance to me. Given they are meant to be business men, why not redeloped the area themselves and sell the properties for about 10x the value

Invest the lot back into the club (its their profits anyway), use that capital to push in to a constant 6 plus finish, (ie euro) that would boost turnover which would keep them I’m the top 6.

I do feel sorry for the fans, home sold, team underperforming , manager is a joke, and the bandits that are your owners. Not to mention the athletics stadium you seem shackled to. No wonder the fans are ready to riot.

I can see a Wimbledon style break away on the next two years if nothing changes. Let them band it London FC, and you lot go with FC WH, and start over.

If you kept 50 percent of the fans, and get 10% of them to fund it, you could get yourself up the leagues in a decade.

Its great the prices are falling dave. However like you said, I’m not rushing out to replace the slower N ones i have.

My router is N and it pushes around 60meg to all the newer phones, the older USB wifi dongles thr house pc’s have all get about 20. And I’ve long said if you can get above 10 down on any single device, you don’t need any more, Unless you know you do.

I dropped from 80 doen to 40down, and could tell the difference at all, maybe steam would take longer, bit that’s hardly a daily thing. I did end IP going back to thr 80 plan as the 40 plan was 40/1 where ad my 80 was 80/20. The sales person said it was 40/10 by mistake. Not their fault at that month it had changed from 10 to 1. The 1up was a pain, so i upgraded back to where i started.

JB the dongl3 should be fine.
