One thing that has always annoyed me about washers is the placement of filters and the manual water release placements. They should be higher up, and have some form of manual pump. I’d rather stand there an hour pumping water out, than it’s dumping a load of water on my wooden floor! Then me usually emptying a full dirty washing basket to soak it up quick, then mop then attack it with a hairdryer for 30 mins.
I said the dirty washing as that’s always the first thing on hand, when the things leak.
The laptop turned up, it’s a hp pavilion G02KF3D, not a drive bay insight, lots of screw and plastic clips.
Long story short, I have a yet another ssd to add to my spares collection, and the SiL still has the slow ssd.
If it was mine I’d swap it, but the laptop is relatively new so I’m not breaking it.
This is progress I presume!
I wouldn’t mind if it was some tiny ultra book, but I could surf on this thing! I think it’d 17 inch, could be 15, I’m use to 12s, so it’s like a HD tv to me.
Works for me, and seems to have all my back accounts utilities and longtime debt. Though it’s just ment to be a peak in time rather than a full blooded affair. After all it’s free.
It brought an issue to my attention in Feb that I would of missed untill I had non payment of debt bills on my door mat. Someone took out an online catalogue in my name.
Its good as an first layer of defence. Plus you get a monthly notification when your next update arrives. Which is good as I forget alot lately.
Don’t worry Richard, 5g will be here soon to avoid you ?
The only washer that we had that held up was some unknown brand we got second hand for free. We had that about 8 years, with zero issues. We got a £3-400 hotpoint job that just failed a often, so we took out insurance before the 24 month garantee ran out. And when we replaced that, just swapped the old HP washer on for the new.
The new one goes down probably once a year. So £8pm is worth it, as I’m not good with time sensitive job (lol understatement), and tbf we have defo got our monies worth.
If we never had the kids, it would be different. If I lived alone I’d do my washing in the bath each night, and Swap washer for a dish washer. Two dish washers in fact, One for clean dishes and the other for dirty ones.
One product we always have 3rd party insurance on is the washer. We use ours minimum 4x a day. We can’t afford to be out of one. And new washers are terrible.
If the cleaned filter doesn’t fix it, it may be the pump. In my experiance it’s always the motherboard. Our old (2008 so not that old) had its mobo replaced 3 or 4 times a year. By the time we ditched it, 2012 it was literally ‘triggers broom’ I recon the chassis was the only original bit.
Our current washer went down on Xmas eve 2016. domestic and general, couldn’t get a fix out until jan, so they sent us a new replacement the day after boxing day.
Xmas eve the prior year the oven packed in. One year before we lived here, 2003, the boiler packed in. Me and Christmas don’t get on.
Les, if you have a tablet, download Mobdro, I find using it behind a proxy works the best. (I use hotspot shield, set to USA)
I’ll be watching Liverpool via it later on.

Went to London and back yesterday, do I took some night shot, with night one on and off and added them in my p20 p test album.
Nothing special just hand held snaps, but some great outcomes. The nights shots are second to no other phone atm.
Also found a load of other shot options in the menu, I’ll have to test out eventually.
Always the stating point should be who will benefit. Usually it’s money, power, and energy, not in any any particular order. And of course as you said, does the narrative the media are trying to spin hold.
The issue is they rarely do. I don’t really trust any gov, but in blinked but nationalism. I think we are just as bad at the rest.
Funny enough I’m reading a great book about the History of the Royal Navy, going day to before day one, the growth of the sea, pirates, the RN and on to empire building. It’s no wonder the world still doesn’t like us, we have been Shits from day one. We took over from the Spanish and The US took the mantle from us.
It’s also nice to see all the characters from treasure island are taken from actual real sailors of old.
The book is ‘to rule the waves’ by Arthur Herman. Very good indeed. It really pics some great moments, keeping it Interesting without getting bogged down in tedium.
Welcome back Bob ?
The irony is, the Russian video is a debunking of the ‘official EU US video. Next well see a Debunking of the Russian Debunking video.
I’ll have to see if I can dig up a staged video that was made of a sniper (I think syrian) shooting a kid in open ground. The people behind it was attempting to prove that these are easily faked, and msm will pick them up and run with them with out deconstructing the footage first.
It worked too. I’m just not sure how I’d find it again.
Found it.
It’s not quite what I remembered, if anything it’s even more bizarre the reason given for making such a video.
There is a podcast that deconstructs these type of videos, ‘no agenda’, on the face of it, you’d think the pair was potty, but time always seems to prove them more right than wrong.
They have said since day one, the isis beheadings was faked. And I don’t know either way, (obviously), but I’d lean towards fake just on their (no agendas) hit rate.
I seen a similar news report earlier. The sumer was, “the whole world knows about the Douma gas attack, except those in Douma”.
Although we do have to be careful that this is Russian news, just as we should any EU US news.
As the sun came out and I was also out, I thought I’d go and test the camera out on this. The zoom is very good.
Also the low aperture shooting (f 0.95) is just amazing.
The 40mp shooter is good, but it’s better in 10mp mode as you can use the optical zoom to just as good effect. Well suppose that’s shot dependant
I’ll add some night shots when I get round to takes some decent ones. I’ve done some testing and it’s very very good, but took nothing I’d share.
Link to the pics in full res.
Windows must be the most advanced AI, if we are judging them on being selfish. Though with 10 I’ve found it much better than any version of Windows since pre xp.
I think core ed is the new RT.
The issue is humans have a knack of wanting to kill each other. Do we trust all parameters set will be “for the best”? I don’t.
I can easily see a day, when we realise it’s out, and can’t be put back in its bottle.
We would need an global effort to cut all power and disconnect all computers. Which now is impossible.
I also have plans one day to start a clonal nitting day (as in head lice). When the kids was younger, it would enjoy me that it seemed a monthly ritual. Alway thought if the whole world nitted, we could fix the issue once and for l all. Though at £15 a bottle I doubt the producers would like to market ‘globle nitting day’.
Bit of a tangent, but it’s always bugged me. Also grosses me out. I was an only child with a skin head (by mother), so I’d never encountered the things till I had kids. Yuk.
Great news. ?
I fear once it comes self thinking, it will be to late to turn it off.
No it will/should fit in cradle / slot the hdd did.
Sorry, typing quick on a new phone. Also super busy, now waiting on kids. Off to a family funeral. Yippee!
