Agree, the roku remotes are great expecially  for bedrooms. And for partners with bad hearing. The FiL had the tv so loud we bought him a bt set up years ago.

On a longer reflection the season was great. And we have broken Zidane lol. his departure shows he has looked at the team he was handed, is over the hill, and he has jumped ship. He will need to get an other job and prove himself.

Anyway, I got side tracked, the season was good, we have two great players coming in, and probably a 3rd, to fully replace our midfield, and act as cover for the front 3. Plus we will defo get two keepers, as ward and mings is off. And we need a decent centre back, VVD and loveran is a good partnership, but scratch the surface and we are light.

All that aside, I have said I’m not a betting man, but me and 2 other Liverpool fans, and one manc, have all better on Liverpool making next year’s final in Madrid. (I suppose the manc is banking on them) , and we have decided, to do a raid trip to Madrid.

The footy is just an excuse. Lol. Just priced it all out, boat, fuel and digs, and the trip costs come out at around £600 in total, excluding food and drinks. So a fun cheap week away.

I just need Liverpool to play their part.

It will defo work, the only issue will be how the tv handles having an aux (headphone) connector in permanently. As once the aux is detected, the tv may only want to output via the aux out. Though you may be able to select via your remote if you want main speakers or headphone out.

So to get round this, you may have to unplug the dongle for when you want ‘normal’ viewing sound, and plug it back in when you want headphone (BT) sound.

Considering to other otiosn is to get a wired extention for normal headphones you’d still be getting up to plug and unplug when needed.

I started a thread about a great BT speaker yesterday (I’m sure it’s still on page 1). That thing puts my active PC speakers to shame.

When I need new PC speakers, I’ll be doing away with wires and spending about 30 on a decent BT speaker.

Youll need some juice to power some of those large dj speakers John, and an amp set up. Unless your starting a new business, I’d sell the speakers.

I have the same (differnt make, but the same) BT dongle. I use it in my car, but it will work for a tv too.

Once you put the dongle into sync mode (long press the large button), then put your ear phones into sync mode, they will see each other.

To reconect you’ll just turn earphones on.

I posted then I deleted my post, it was just for testing. So now when I look at it, the ‘last updated’ is still marked as boris (8h some mins).

Probably just a quirk for you. I’ve had one or two threads over the year, lock me out from interacting. As it’s so infrequent, I’ve never raised it. Putting it down to ‘one of those things’ .

Is the like showing your side? It still is for me.

The france Italy game should be good. Italy have something to prove. They should go all out, where France will Likely be playing within themselves. At least to start with.

I have opted into Googles dead man policy. If I don’t login to my Gmail for a given time (sent mine to 3 months) . They will email your chosen recipient (wife for me) , and give them access to all your Google stuff.

Within the email is my lastpass password, and instructions for ”what needs doing” given I’m probably dead. Basically it a bit of financial stuff, and access to all the family photos.

Each year Google email me, to check I still want to be in the system, also it acts as a good reminder to update any info within.

Its defo worth setting up. Official name is inactive account manager.

BT and Aux inputs. So you could just plug it into your tv aux out.

Have you polished and waxed? If not now is the time, it will stay clean for the whole summer. Just run a hose of water over it and all dusts will come off. And a quick spray wax after. Takes 15mins to cover the whole car. Even with my back.

All you’ll need is bottle of spay wax (any will do), and couple of microfiber cloths to get the bird muck off.

Squirt the muck, let it stand for 20 seconds, scoop off with in cloth, buff with second cloth.

My car is filthy again, it rained, and the dust from the builders at the top, all stuck. I’m not cleaning this car again ? it will likly begone before the builders have.

Yes, simplicity alway eventually Trumps security. People are naturally lazy.

Though now 10 plus years into lastpass usage, I don’t know how I’d cope with out it. Well I do, I’d have probably 3 passwords I’d use everywhere!

I say to the in-laws, just write all you pw down in your diary, far safer to have unique passwords, All be it written down, than one or two you use everywhere.

I have pages of peoples, friends and families, passwords, bank accounts, all kinds, all stored in my last pass vault. As I learned long ago, normal people, just don’t remeber or record security stuff.

Then when it breaks, it will be given to me to fix, with zero usernames or pws. So for years, I’d record all user and pw, and make a clone (clonzilla). Before I’d give them the pc back.

Since 7, I’ve dropped the cloning approach. 1. I don’t do pc family support no more, and 2. 10 I’ve not seen a real use for CZ, it’s simple enough to blow it way and start again. If the owner hasn’t backed up, that’s their issue. If I’ve fixed something of yours before, I will of informed them of backing up. So if they ever come back, it’s on them if there data is gone once the pc/pjone is fixed.

Mine over heat very quickly, so when it gets hot they don’t go out. They just sleep more, usually in the front of the house that is always cool (zero sun), on the wooden floor.

They get taken for a walk about 9.30 if anyone can be bothered, by then. Luckally mine don’t really need walking, their legs are all of 4 or 5 inches long, and are not the most energetic. They would be fine with zero walking, getting enough exercise when they have there 10 min play fights 3x a day.

But I quite enjoy the dog walking (sort of the point of us getting them). The smaller out of the two, will let you know then she is ready to go home. She just sits down. We will walk on, and she will still be there 30 mins later. Excited we returned.

The issue is Richard, most, no all, normal folk, will just use the fallback option. Authenticator apps are simple enough to set up but more effort than any normal folk will be bothered doing. So they will just opt for sms or email both better than nothing, but not the best.

It’s there customer service that keeps me. Nothing is ever an issue. Also my Mrs has a knack of never paying full price for prime.

That’s the weak link Richard. But that is the fall back option of dual factor. If you use a proper authenticator (app based or physical) the numbers are generated clientside, so no need for the sms. Both sms and email, are only ment as the fall back option.

Authenticator apps don’t use the Internet/mobile signal to work. Your app and the online codes are time synced at time of set up, and runs forever.

Though if you had no signal, you wouldn’t be online anyway. So it wouldn’t be an issue.

Back to the op, it’s not just banks that this is an issue with. Actully, it’s the eBay, and Amazons of the world where the ops trick would work best.

Bob, unless you know your wifi is fully secured, it’s actually safer to use the banks app over the cellular signal. Never do anything remotely related to cash on a random wifi link. If you go out the house, you should have a proxy auto turn on (via GPS or l when the phone can’t see your home/work wifi. That way if you do ever accidentally join a public wifi, like maccies, or costas you you still be safe.

                                        Proxy proxy proxy.

Heavy Rain started about an hour ago. Thunder about ten mins.

                                            Not noticed any lightning yet.

I love the stuff, find the noise of a storm really carming. One of my lads is terrified of thunder and lightning.
