12meg isn’t a bad speed at all. As long as your ping is half decent too, 12meg should be more than enough to play 3 HD Netflix videos before it slows Down.

Ive always said 20meg is all any normal  homes really need atm.

Ive have 80 (get 76), and once I dropped down to 40,and never noticed the drop. The only reason I went back up is because the 40 meg deal come with 1meg up and not the 10meg that the sales guy thought it did (in his defence TT had just changed the 40/10 to 40/1. So I went back to 80/20. 1 up just isn’t enough

To make you feel better bob, my MiL can only get 3meg down on a good day. Last week I was downloading here maps for her, which was about 1gb. In the end I tethered her phone to mine and used my 4g, which is 20meg at her house. As I couldn’t be bothered waiting around for the 2 hours it was predicting it would take. Over 4g it took about 2 mins.

I told her to complain to TT, as I think she must have a fault somewhere. But she won’t.

No, England made 8 changes, Belgium 9. This makes the game void in the sense of seeing where England actually measure

Well defo so what they are made off against Colombia. If we struggle against them, we’ll know we are not all that good. If we lose, that England will be coming home. Though I doubt they will get beat in that game.

It’s a shame this game meant nothing, as it would of been a great yard stick to see where England actually are. For me the jury is still out.

Oh, I only got to listen to the game, (no bandwidth for video). It’s been over 20 years since I’ve listened to a game. How do you do it Lee, it board me to death. Though the game itself didn’t help.

Probably the biggest game of the WC so far tonight, and my kids school has his leavers assembly scheduled to start at 7pm!

As it’s in the local theater, I’m wondering how many will be watching on their phones. I’m homing not many, as I dont want my bandwidth eating up.

Many years ago (ive told this before) when I built my i7 920, I got half the parts from ccl and half from somewhere else. Ccl was fantastic. They rebuilt my rig their end, (including the bits I bought elsewhere) and tested it for days. it come back the issue was ram compatibility, even though it was ment to be compatible.

They swapped the cheaper ram with some decent g skill ram for free. I don’t know why I moved away from ccl. I’ve bought a few tvs (when they want cheap), and recommended them often. Mainly due to the service they showed me.

I’m gutted Germany went out. ?

However they just didn’t deserve to go through. Not that Mexico are better.

Been a strange wc, but one of the best I can recall. I’d have to go back to euro 96 for an international comp I’ve enjoyed.

Thre Russians, have pulled a blinder at this wc.

VAR I’m a convert. Hated it when I was at the FA cup game, but hear it’s been a big success. Just moving the debate from one area, to another.

The weather ain’t half bad either, which always lifts my mood.

I once had a £1500 quarter bill,(storage heaters, first winter), but never seen a refund like this.

It is a massive annoyance to me that these companies don’t auto adjust your monthly dd payments to meet your usage. They all over charge and you have to initiate the adjustment.

Iirc the 206 has a small lcd display, think it’s the odometer ect.. On that screen you get a service spanner when it’s needed. It’s just a button combo you cancel it like on all cars.

I mention this, so you can rule out it being a service reminder.

If you have checked the oil, and the light stays on then your oil is fine, and that will be a sensor issue. The beeping, im not sure off. But I think the 206 beeps when you leave the key in and open the door, or if you leave the lights on when you remove the key.

Is the beep like them beep tones? (not sure if the pug has more than one tone. My car has a few all annoying tones.) if so the beeb may also be a sensor issue.

Saying that of youre getting more than one sensor issue, it may be down to being not a faulty sensors, but fault in reading of them.

In the same spirit of fixing a rattle by turning the radio up (you can have that tip for free lol), I’d simply find the buzzer and snip the wire. It would cost to much to trouble shoot.

What is a cheap way for you to troupe shoot is by getting a cheap obd2 adapter, and via your phone reading the fault codes. (2 to 5£ on eBay and Amazon)

I’d of sent you mine, but I lent it my brother in law and he went to Afghan!

I have a theory on women and children, as they don’t have to fix or buy anything they have less respect for stuff. This could be a cupboard door to a phone all the way up to a car door.

It’s not till you’re the one that is has to pay or spend time and effort to keep “whatever” alive, that you truly  know the value of shit.

It was dementia what my GD had. For years he was forgetful, like all my life, it was a running joke. By the time he hit 70 it was obvious it was something more. It took untill 80 to get a diagnosis, but it explained a lot. He very slowly declined over the last 20 years.

It was a mini stoke that got him in the end. He was perfectly fit (for an 82 yo) but was very forgetful, and repeated himself every 20 mins, and slowly forgot people.  had a mini stroke, fell banged his head. Came out of hospital for 2 weeks, I seen in 3 times, over that period and his decline was rapid.

It was like seeing 3 different men. Then we got the call. In a way I’m glad, well not in a way, I am glad he went quick, for him and my nan. I know the last year he drove her mad at times, and he was a scared and confused old man for that last 2 weeks. Calling for his mother, and only jis army days, and not recognising anyone. A sad sight indeed.

Given my grandad served abroad in the army in the aftermath of the war, this may go along way to explaining his end.

I’m now imagining him trying to conker Europe single handedly. Well Austria and the surrounding regions. Doing his duty to a fault lol.

I have 8gb in mine, and only gta5 max’s that out. I’d imaging it would 128gb if I had it.

Regarding the ccl msg I got of royal mail, it turned out ccl was the name of a chines company that I used. Given it was a nothing item, with a 6 week wait, I’d simply forgotten about the order, and never know the company name. Lol. So nothing to do with ccl online. I’m an idiot.

They charge quite slow but perfect for top up charges, if like you discribe, you know where you’ll be most of the time  like a desk or chair

Personally if your phone can do fast charge, I prefer that, and think if your phone can charge quickly and it has decent battery life, it’s better just to give the phones small boosts as and when needed. Cos QC will dump 80% in about 40 mins. So a couple of 10 min charges through the day will keep a phone between 20 and 80%, all the time.

Charging to 100% all the time isn’t good got a battery, and worse still keeping it on charge a lot, (just like a laptop) it shortens the life of the battery dramatically. My wife lives with her phone plugged in all the time, and she has never had a battery last 12 months.

Now she has the P20 and finally I’ve it her to stop the constant charging, as it’s battery life is decent, and quick charge (don’t recall what srandered it is, there is a few atm) but it works very well.

Isn’t honour an arm of huawei? If so I bet it has a decent fast charge, as the Nexus 6p was Huawei phone (3 years old ish) iirc quick charge 2, and that also worked well. But it’s the P20 Pro I currently have that really shines. Charges quick, and has a 4000mah battery that lasts well. I never charge it overnight anymore. Just plug in for 10 mins in the morning then again sometime through the day.

I think wireless charging was a good idea 6 years ago. Sadly car oems have started to install it, just as most of try phone oems are dropping it. It’s cos Apple decided to include it finally, so as usual the industries decide its now a thing.

Although I’d quite like witless charging in the car, (I always charge on the car due to me using Sat nav). Though the last time I charged witless charing it was slow. Like using a 500mah plug.

Granted that was about 5 years ago, and it was a failure as phones drank batterys back then, so we needed faster charging. Back then even plugs only offered 1amp at 5v. I think my current charger is 3amps at 9v, (i cant check the plug atm given its 02:35) then at 80% fails back to 1amp 5v. For a gentler finish. ?

After all that drivel, I’d say if a Qi charger fits into your life and you sant have fast charge, yes it should work. Though I wouldn’t buy on price. I’d really compare a lot. And I’d buy from Anker or the like, and not some generic no name stuff.

Or if you go by cheap, just buy one base station and one receiver, to test it out. I’d buy from Amazon too, so exchanging it is guaranteed.

I understand that well, my Doris, can’t tell the difference between sd and hd. When we watch footy on tv I’m in charge of reading the time left. Drive me mad.

I just didn’t get what you ment by HD dvd, as it’s a format that has been dead for about 5 years now. It just never took off. For a about 2 years supermarket’s sold HD dvds along side blueray discs, untill blueray won out.

Now blueray has been superseded with 4k ultra blueray. But they will be a thing, but the physical media space is all but dead.

I’m off in to town later, so I’m going to have a look if supermarkets still sell dvds, or see if they are all Br or HDU BR.

Something I’m totally out the loop with. We do have a dvd/Br player in the form of the PS3. We do have a ps4 but I can’t recall what that plays. Shows how often I put a disk in anything. The last time I personally used a physical disk was 3 or 4 christmas eves ago.

For ever we have always Sat down to a rented kids movie and eat chilli and backed spuds on Xmas eve. I think our local blockbuster closed so we used amazon/Netflix ever since. Actually it may of still been open the first year we streamed.

My in laws only got rid of thier VHS machine, well the 14′ tv video thing, two years ago. But the dvd only lasted an extra year. (Disney VHS collection). So even the in laws are on the streaming wagon (my Netflix account) . If you knew them it would amaze you they got to the party so early.for them it’s super early.

Though it was my then 8 year old that set up Netflix for them.

I thought it was the best England display since 96. Though it doesn’t say much about England.

I didn’t see the flies as a big deal. That’s what happens when you operate at dusk or Dawn. Disney close the outdoor style rides and attractions in them hours to minimise any potential guest illness.

It’s actually really interesting the length Disney go to.

Some of our players looked off the boil, but they still made chances, so all is not lost. I’d rather we was creating and missing, than not creating.

The level of the football in general hasn’t been great so far. Most goals have been from set pieces. Match 2 teams will be getting a bit more desperate, so it should open up the games.

I see yet another WC ball is being moaned about by the goal keeping community. They act more like fly aways, year on year.

It wouldn’t be good for marketing, but I’ve always thought, the new balls should come out after a WC and at the next WC so everyone is use to how the balls work. Sounds a daft statement, but the dynamics and predictability of the balls really change from gen to gen. You’d think they wouldn’t want the variables of the ball overtaking the actual talent on display.

But hay, at £150 a pop, it’s a good marketing avenue. Plus the ‘cheap’ £30 replicas, will sell by the millions over the next 12 months.

What do you mean by HD dvd bob?

You have DVD that is SD, but looks decent, and then you have HD dvd that is now gone (betamax of hi def disks) and blueray that beat HD dvd.

So buy HD dvd do you mean the defunct HD dvd or just DVD. That’s not HD, but as all tvs upscale, (add in the extra 3 pixels), dvds looks more than good enough.

PlayStation 3 is still the best dvd and br player. Also cheap now.
