Why didn’t you just quit when the review would not submit. I’d of not given it a second though.

I’d of hit submit twice, maybe copied what I’d written, refreshed the page, pasted back in, then tried submit again (but it would be to be something I really wanted to review), but it’s doubtful I’d of done that much.

I wouldn’t of got to the effort of emailing them once, never bind stoke up a back an forth.

Just forget it John. It’s their loss. If you want to be polite, suggest to them to re send you the review suggestion, once they have their set up fixed.

          I’d bet it wouldn’t bob.

In Thr past I’ve found these convertors that have moving parts never last long. I’ll stick with buying a single socket with uk to (whatever) and plugging a power strip into it.

We are off Spain and France in two weeks, so I have 2 convertors, and two power strips  That will give us 8 uk sockets, and 3x usb 5 port charger. Given most stuff uses usb well be covered upto 15 USB devices and still have 6 outlets left.

Over the 3clast hols I’ve found having electric is now an actual undertaking in itself when you have multiple devices, and kids with multiple devices.

Last time out we never had wifi for the majority of the trip, it was great tbh. But this year’s all 5 of the apartments and villas we have booked all have wifi. I’m not sure if I’ll like that. I enjoyed going off like for a weeks.

A bit of a side note, but if you want some half decent but cheap Earphones for kids, that they won’t think are in cool are the cheap £15 Sony jobbies.

I got my kids all these, they are OK, when I broke my shennhiser (sub 100 ones so nothing special ) I used one of the kids pair of sonys for a while and found them perfectly fine. Not a patch on my current bose set, but that’s hardy a fair comparison.

Maybe somthing like them and a samson metior or yeti snowball would make a great starter gamer/ youtuber set up. For about £50 all in. Would blow any gaming set out The water. I doubt you could get a gaming set up with the same mic quality for 6x the price.

It’s a shame no matter how good your cans are, you’ll still hear the shitty quality of your gaming friends mic. If I had a mate I gmaed with often enough, I’d send them a decent mic, just so I dint have to listen to the crappy sound of gaining sets.

And for £15, it doesn’t really matter if she breaks 3 pairs a year. But they are wired, but hey, they are 15 quid, and look decent if she is on a face cam. Names matter with kids. Brand often trumps quality everyone. Hence beats. Which was just re branded crap for about the first 5 years. They was literally about a £20 set of cans sold for £200 to 300 a pop.

My bose cans are brilliant, but like most crap I buy, I couldn’t recommend to others. I’m clever enough to know the stuff isn’t worth the cost, but dumb enough to still want to always try the stuff out. I suppose the bose set is worth it if you want a really good set of noise cancellation cans, that offer good Bluetooth sound. And want Google assistance built in. It’s a very niche audience. I couldn’t recommend them to 99.9% of the people I know. They are very comply too, like little pillows. Big enough to not to catch your ears. I think proper leather too, but it’s hard to tell these days. Smell leathery.

I love umani taste, black bean sauce is my fave cos of the deep savoury flavour. Or as we know now Umani taste.

You can get umani salt, with is great stuff to for flavouring home made burgers. Also a sprinkling over roasties when you turn them over. And simply on chips, with a garlic mayo dip.

I am going to have to get some of this, I can see it being nice in a chilli, (haricot beans instead of kidney beans also). Also would probably work on burgures better than the salt verity.

Most things beefy and tomatoe based this should enhance.

Could just eat a beef in black been now. Since the sun came out we have had a salad every day, with some king of cooked meat or cheese. Non of use like hot food when the sun comes out. Also save me time cooking, and minimal cleaning. Win win win.

I know, sadly for him, we have that much going on for 6 years or more, that has always just been forgotten about.

He isn’t bad, but he is on the spectrum. Mix that with his bad dyslexia, it became an issue in some class. And always came out in annoying the teachers. He doesn’t seem to have a filter between his brain and mouth.

As he was very good with number, horrendous with words (yes even worse than me lol, his writing age is on par with his 10 year old sisters.) school just wanted rid of him in the end, so they put him through for his maths higher level papers in the 4th year, then offloaded him to college.

I was in favour as school was a waist of time for him and the school. So last year he studied a level maths, along side enginering.

As he was interested in both, he enjoyed studying for the first time since probably the infant school.

Also he has grown a lot as a person, being taken out of his school routeen, and dropped in to a more adult oriented setting.

It is strange when your 15 year old has class Mates older than me. The majority are 18 and 19. So as much had he has come on, he now thinks more like a 19 year old, and wants the freedoms of one.

Now that he is officially of school leaving age, I’ll threaten treat him as such. Pre that, he hated being treated as a 15/16 year old, with 19 friends. I can understand his frustrations.

It is strange to have older kids picking up your 15/6yo on their cars etc… It felt a bit American high school.

Oh well, 4 left school, one to go! I could of been free now if it wasn’t for that night! Hence the large gap between the last two. Wouldn’t change her for the world though

My FiL grows apples, peaches, plumbs and raspberrys. His yields are usally big. I like to sit and watch drunk bees. From the fallen plums. Anyhow, this year, he has next to nothing.

He only had one bush tree of each, but not have done anything this year. First summer using the late 80s when he moved in and adopted them.

Bose QC35ii are very good indeed but not cheap.

If you want good but not break The bank, look at Audio Technica cans. I’d get her the entry level cans with no mic, and one of miles below. She could have a special audio set up, for about £100.

Or if you just want something that isn’t terrible, look at the mid range Turtle beach stiff. I say mid on them as their entry level skimp in the mic.

                          Ars

I’d recommend Bluetooth ones either way, as there is nothing like jumping up to answer the door etc… And your headphone wire taking the contents of your desk with you! Done that a few times.

If she is going to game properly, online with mates regular, save her friends ears and buy a £50 mic. Either the mason metior (not metiroite that way is a cheap version of an already inexpensive mic) or the yeti snowball.

Both great mics. Both USB, I have the Metior in black,, but know the snowball is as least as good as that.

The bose QC35ii are brilliant. Noise cancellation like nothing I’ve heard before. And lots of sounds I never knew was in songs ect. Both BT and a wire if you prefer, that unpugs from the headset, so if you break the cable, its a £3 fix. Battery life is 20 hours (off an hour charge) with mouse cancellation on high. You have off med and high.

Ifvtou do go that route, but doubt it unless she really looks after her stuff, and needs top quality sound, but if you do, buy black, not silver. The mic is good and they have Google assistant built in, and you can mute the other person, quickly to google fact check, and should like she know All kinds of random shit lol.

I totlay hear you. However like I said above, if her jon was a normal job, I’d of dropped her and collected her. Her job isn’t, she spend 30 mins to 90mins, at each house, them moves on to the next. Today was 6.45 her first call, and her last finishes at 10pm

I don’t know anyone that can taxi her around all day. As I’ve said, we (she) are stuck between a rock and a hard place. I try to live my life, fully legal and follow laws, and try to preach this to my children. This time dad simply cant find a solution. As her not going into work isn’t an option, and getting her insurance, or a rental, isn’t an option either, by no fault of hers.

It’s a shitty system. Both on the insurance scam side, and on the agency side. I hate agencies, I can see why a select few may like the freedom of an agency, (usually semi retired), but on the whole its a device used to get around all types of employment laws, and keep business costs to a minimum, by taking advantage of people.

If you’re an employer and need to hire 10s or 100s (even 1) employee on full time basis, you should not be allowed to use an agency.

Millions of people are taken advantage of in this way, and it has a detrimental effect on the economy on a macro level, as that’s millions of people on zero hour contracts, that can’t get mortgages or loans. Personally not a fan of finance, but a our economy is based on the principle of finance.

Tottlay off topic, but if she fails to turn up to appointments that she has been given, last Friday, she was give a 7 day rota (he car was fine then), she won’t be given any more hours, as she will be seen as unreliable. It’s not like she can call a boss, and explain her situation, as there is some other schmuck waiting to fill her shoes.

Mix the agency with the fact, I’ve found it impossible to insure her, due to age and length  of licence, she is left in a dodgy situation.

I’m not going to try and explain of justify this anymore.i feel I’ve now written the same thing, 10 different ernt ways, and I’ve said I totlay understand the risks and share your concerns. Truly I do.

We can also add in, my mech is selfish and decided to have a mini heart attack (Jk), so can’t help untill he escapes ozzy, and the other two garages (which I don’t like), can’t fit the car in to late next week.

Hopefully it will be over by Friday night. If not Monday night.

I don’t think you have read my first post re the insurance. There is not borrowing, as her predicament won’t let her insure on any car, without the owner taking out a brand new new driver policy. That cost on excess of 2k. Actually it would be more as the owner of this borrowed car would have to sign up for a black box policy, if you wanted insurance under 2k. With an upfront payment of £350 for the box and 2 months worth of dd upfront, so best part of £700.

Her own policy, unlock ours, doesn’t cover you d drivers to drive a 3rd part car, with 3rd party fire and theft. Now you need to be 25years old, to be able to drive a borrowed car legally.

I know you mean well, but trust me, if there was another way I’d of taken it. I’m not to fond of her driving my £26k car uninsured.its not something I condone, or planned. She is in a shitty position, and atm, there isn’t a good answer. The system is shit for kids.

Going to look down the renting route later, but I’m not holding my breath as I know in 1998 Ish, i found it possible to hire a car in the uk, (abroad was fine). So 20 years of legislation, and insurance companies finding more was to rip kids off, I doubt I’ll be able to rent her a car. Even buying her one, any shit box will  Cost say £200, is £700 upfront for insurance, then anther 50 to 100 next week to cancel the policy.

I’m not paying that out, I literally just done that 2 months ago. And she can’t afford that, she is actully working to pay for her car. So she can’t afford a second.

Its a good old catch 50 50. Sometimes you just have to ride your luck. As I said last night when I replied to you I share your concerns. I trully do. I don’t want my car damaged, and more than that, I don’t want my girl to loose her licence, but she is stuck atm.

Just a few years ago, you could put younguns on your policy for a month, as temp cover. You could only do it for a max of 3 times on a year, and it was cheap, about £15 for a ka in 2000/2. I know this as my mum had a ka and when my escort chocked a rod, mum put me on her insurance for a month. To put me on or a year as a teen, back then, it was £1400. that’s why I had an escort van, vans are cheaper than cars to insure by about about 35%. And you can sleep in them (so good boys days out back then) .

Thanks Bob. The money isnt great, 10.50ph, but it’s the best paid job she can get that will work for her when she goes back to college. They will give her full time hours in the hols, and in term time give her a few hours in the week and full sat and Sun. One thing we have in our area is OAPs. Prestatyn is a retirement home, for all the OAPs from the Northwest, (Liverpool and Manchester areas), that holidayed here year on year, then move to one of our many one bed bungalows on the coast once they retire.

Not a job I’d be able to do, but she doesn’t mind it, and tells some funny tales. Last week Thursday an old gent had her searching for 90mins to find his lucky England top. She was shadowing last week, this week is her first let loose on her own.

Ed I never even considered hire. I’ll ring around today. We have an enterprise close. But I don’t think they will hire to 19 with 2 months on her licence. I recall when I.was younger finding it impossible to hire a car.

                                  I will try today.

I missed the second half. It was extra time, (30 mins) , now it’s on pens.

If I could buy her a new car before 6am tomorrow I would. Given it’s her first week on her job without shadowing (ie he first proper week, her not going is a NO.

I know the risk, so does she, at this point it’s unavoidable. But thankyou for your input. We tried to put her on the MiLs KAmk2 insurance, (temp cover) but her insurer woundnt allow it, due to her being a new driver. The MiL would need to take out a new policy, costing almost 2k (what my girl pays atm).

So the system has backed her into a corner. She can’t get insured even if she wanted to, and she can’t have a day or 3 off, as the carer set up uses an agency. If she misses a day, she doesnt get offered more work.

Thank you for your concern. I share the same concerns.

Me and Doris was just saying the anthem should me Rule Britania.

Or my fav, I thou to thee my country. (passed out to it). But it woundnt really work as a NA, as it takes a while to get going. Bit boy does it stir some passion. Even for me who is hardly nationalistic.
