John the ask the same question in differnt ways, to make sure your answer is consistent. It’s to make sure the reviewer is 1. Not a robot, or 2.not a paid person to fill in reviews, or rather no a lazy one that just clicks randomly.

The surveys submitted  that give different answers to the same (differently worded, but ultimately the same), or similar questions are automatically discarded, as them sets of data just make fake noise, and worse could skew the overall data.

So it may seem a waist of time, (for them and you) but really the duplicate questions written differently are a safeguard. A better word maybe a filter rather than safeguard, and the best way to tell the ligit reviewers and the non ligit ones. So probably the most important of the questions.

Though saying all that, I don’t do surveys as a rule. Reviews I do if the product or servos did something other really well or really bad. Otherwise I dont bother.

Bob. I’m sure I’ve heard (may of been a Film or show) that psychopaths don’t dream. Cant recall of its fact of fiction.

It’s already here, has been since the galaxy note 2. And had only got better.

If you off load your media to the cloud, and use cloud services. If you use a crome book, that’s basically what you do, so if you do that, or use your win pc as a server, a pc in your pocket is now viable.

It’s all about using your computing device like the old thin client days.

The more these services go go cloud based the easier and more viable the pc in your pocket is. As you just need a browser and a media player.

Not to mention if it’s android based (or Chrome that utilises android) you also have access to some fabulous editing apps, and the rest. So if you change your approach to club based storage, wether that be 3rd party or via a home server. You’ll be golden.

Years ago now I nuked my movie collection, I took years to build it, and I’m slowly re building for the car media server, (so a bit premature), however for 11 months out of a year, it’s simpler to stream media, wether that be music or video.

Photos, all mine have been going online for over 10 years. I upload to 3 mains service, (just for redundancy) and only ever save really social shots in raw on two usb drives and a hdd, incase I want to have the full options in the future. But on the whole I upload in full size jpg only.

If it was winter you would probably wish it was summer. At this rate we might equal the cold winter days with these hot days. I read on the internet we’re selling £30 million worth of water to somewhere in the UK that has run dry.

As a Briton  it is our right and duty to never be happy with the weather. The day that happens, I think that will be the end of GB.

Id imagine you’d hate the French south coast and Spain. I’m off their soon, and can’t wait. Spain will be a nice 35ish. Madrid last sumer was 45! We got stuck in an underground carpark in the city centre. The car was reading 55, and my air con was struggling to keep us cool.

We was in their about an hour, if it was an older car, or one with no air con, I think I’d of had to abandon the car for a few hours.

About 8 years ago, I took my eldest lad then 16 away to France fishing with my BiL to the lour valley, around tours (going back for the first time in aug, it was great except then we was camping in a 12 man tent, and high 30s and tents don’t mix.

We was on municipal camps, sort of council run camps. France is full of them, dead cheap, gives you water and usally nice showers. But by 7am,the tents got to warm. We be on the road and fishing by 8ish, back to camp around 1pm as the sun was getting silly. Eat, then find a tree, and sleep under it for a couple of hours. Go and fish again or have a swim. Back to base bbq, beer and asleep for 9 or 10 at the latest.

The point f the story is even for an insomniac, the sun is a killer, it just drains you when you have no shelter. It was a great little 2 weeks away to celebrate him finishing school.never done it for the other, bit me and the eldest was on shaky ground back then so it was a binding exercise more than anything.

My BiL at the time was in the raf, he had his laptop full of films and er adult material (Afghan is lonely), we realised quite quickly my boy found that material and spent a lot of time alone at the tent. Lol. Far differnt from my day of a old magazine.

Going back now, we have a loverly modern city house rented for 5 nights. A beautiful part of the world. One of my favs.its like Wales or Yorkshire (incert nice green place), but with tones of history (that’s saying something given North Wales is packed with it) and most of all great weather. (bet it rains now). The only real issue is no one speaks English that far into France. So I’ll be testing out Google translate to breaking point. But then again I’d need it yourkshire also. ?

I have been trying go learn Spanish on duolingo but failed to keep up with my daily classes.

I sweat whatever the weather. But I love the sun and the blue sky.

However my bose cans are to warm to where atm, so back to ear buds only, and I have large and small fans dotted around the house.

The small usb ones are great BTW. I have a number of these below, I got mind for £3 each form home bargain last summer.

The kids like JC, somehow they like him. I can only really speak for my are and Liverpool. Liverpool is a very  Left place ad it is, when JC was here, he had a huge student age turnout. Also at tramere fc when he was the there, the fan all started chanting his name. I heard similar things happened at a number of festivals.

. I personally have nothing against socialism, im far more left leaning than right I think.

Though I have some strong right leanings too. I suppose most people do.

I’m also a self titled hypocrite. I have a lot of view, and many are not compatible with the other.

I’m left leaning, but hate this who new(ish) social justice movement, it seems is thought to kids from jnr school all the way through to uni. That will end up killing free speech all together.

They are taught not to offend anyone, but by definition they don’t learnt how to handle being offend, so they take any idea they don’t like as an attack of their freedom to not be offended. It boils my blood. In the US now tutor’s with out tenure, are terrified to say the wrong thing, so now there is no expanding of the minds, talking about bad things. Bad sinarios are great at opening your mind. University has always been the place for these big ideas. No more.

If you have a sense of humour, you’ll rarely get offended. Everything can be funny.

My daily rant has now come to an end. Carry on.

So I’m a lefty that gets offended by lefties!

I’ve long told anyone asking advice to call me on Monday, after 9 when I’ll be working. Very few call. Real friends are different, but I can count them on one hand.

I find it the most polite was to tell someone to f-off. As I’ve found in the past by telling someone to F-off usally end with me having a broken knuckle.

When I was about 21 had a very quick disagreement with someone on Saturday night. Had the slightest of scratches on my middle knuckle, by Tuesday I was in hospital, ended up there 7 or 9 days, and now I have a 5” scare, and that knuckle is in the centre of the back of my hand.

The 5″ scare goes great next to the 4.5″ scare on my index figure I got when I was 15 sword fighting with my best mate. Slept with my hand in a bag all tapped up as I cba going ozzy. Jumped the bus the next day and got shouted at by the nurse. Few weeks later I cba going the doctors to remove the stitches, so I snipped them with my nail clippers. That afternoon I was out playing football. The ball stuck me on the figure, and it exploded line a cooked sausage.

So off the ozzy again! Between the two cuts and the knuckles it isn’t pretty. A silly and fun 7 or 8 years that was. Been very sensible the last 15 or so years.

When younger and going interviews, I’d be very conscious of showing the back of my hands. Now not so much, but if things change and I end up on the interview game, I’ll probably think the same.

JH seems to one of them players that are vital, but you only notice once they are out injured.

He is great. Unlike most defensive midfielders, he can pick a pass as good as anyone, and he has a great brain, he knows how to be patient, side to side to side, and when the gap eventually comes can always find it.

Next season will be interesting as he isn’t going to be first choice. He will be till about Xmas, as klopp really like to hold payers back untill they know the system inside out. Look at ox and robo, they get drip fed in.

Also fitness, not alot of teams play with our tempo, so if youre not ready, it doesnt matter who you are. The system always come first.

Except the last 3 of 4 games last season, when salah picked up (got kicked to bits) an injury at stoke second half, but he still got played the next two, even though he was obviously at 70%, but by then he was in the hunt for the golden boot.

One of klopp flaws is he is a football romantic. He loves the Roy of the rovers type stuff.

We played our first pre season yesterday, against Chester (at Chester), we won 7-0. We play Man City in some pre season American Cup at the end of July. We will be missing JH, lovern, and trent. The first shouldn’t be an issue given we have just brought in cover, but the other two could cause an issue.

But I can’t wait for it. Even more so than Wednesday. I’m getting excited just thinking if it. I’ll be away, not check my dates, but hopefully I’m not due to be driving.

What’s the laws in france on watching footy why driving 130kmh. I’m sure they are fine.

Yes Ed, we was just stuck.

Bob, the guy is a really nice guy, an ex business partner heaped a shed load of stress on him for a good number of years. Then pissed off abroad with the company money. He has come out the other end now, but it’s no doubt his work hasn’t help with his health.

He is a great honest guy, and far too fair for his own good. He won’t charge people for the time he spends on a car if he can fix it. Or once he refused to take money off me for a fix he done, that wasn’t actually the issue.

He said me misdiagnosed the issue so the error was his. It turned out it was a loose wire.so he was charging me iirc about £10 for something he worked on for about 10 hours.

In the end I made him take the money for the price he paid for the part, but he wouldn’t take anyhing towards his labour costs.

BiL had an Audi A4 years ago, the timing or something went wonky, he had it for about a month, put in hours in research (I’m guessing), many hours testing, but ultimately the fix was going to be more than the car was worth. He wouldn’t take a penny for his efforts.

He is a truly nice guy, just the type con men take advantage of.

Anyhow, in my 15 years visiting the man, I can say he hasn’t done me wrong, and I don’t know anyone that has a bad word to say about him.

Another thing he does, is tell you how to do simple jobs yourself. Hardly good business sense, give the simple jobs are all profit for a mech.

Also he doesn’t gouge you on parts, as more often than not, when he diagnosed the issue, and you book in, he will say pick up x on your way in, as it will speed things up. He uses the CES parts place that he knows I pass on the way to him.

I’d imagine most garages inflate the parts by 10 or 15%, which I think is fair. He doesn’t.

Think I’ve got some type of bromance thing going on! Strange considering he isn’t Zlatan lol. The compleat oppersite to him he is 5 foot with his mums shoes on.

I’ll say nothing negative has happened.

Well as long as you don’t count that the mech never got out of ozzy until yesterday. Which is ultimately good news for him. If a little delayed for us. He is back in work tomorrow. Lickally my girl doesn’t need the car tomorrow.

Also she hates my car. Apparently its to big and to fast. Though she admitted it’s easier to reverse than here. Which I found to. That ka is really trick compared to any car I’ve ever revered. Which for a car the size of an iPad ,and has the viewing angles of a greenhouse, unlock mine with is very wide, has the turning circle of a boat, (because of the updated hpyerstrut suspension ) and it may as well have no rear window, it makes zero sense that its easier to man over.

Anyhow, she had finished with the car,and hers will be back tomorrow pm.

Seems I had more to say than ‘nothing negative’ lol

I won’t betray liverpool and enjoy another team lol.

I am enjoying tbh, I think this WC had been fantastic, the football on the whole has been great, var has turned out a brilliant addition, and the hosts have been excellent.

It’s a plus for me that England are doing well too. How England do is not a make of break for me.

Was talking to wife last night about the lack of feel good around here. And wishing wales had been in the comp, as the euros was truly special around here, cos its a rare occasion wales qualify, never mind do well.

I suppose its the same in England now, given ever year, we are about to “conker the world” then fail (set up for a fall), but this year, Southgate was a bit of a joke, and no one, even the pundits, gave them a chance. So the shock of us actually doing well, is a great and welcome surprise.

It also demonstrates how little pundits and us fan know. There is something in not having a superstar to hang your hat on. Everyone has to pull in the same direction, and buy into the plan.

Lol my youngest is ten so I’m over them days. Though I’m guessing you’ll want them tinny phone speakers back soon.

What you need is to buy a hand full of cheap £3 kids over head cans. Especially for the car. If she doesn’t take to them at least you can drown out the crappy kids shows.

My kids  are well trained. They can choose the station as much as they like when they pay for their own car. Untill then they  have the choice of one listening to talk sport or 2, use their phone with ear phones. (only Earphones no phone speakers) .

Though as a courteous to my passangers if I’m listing to a book or podcast, I’ll put the Earphones in, and let them choose radio station. Bit that’s only on over 30min rides usually.

You have to lay these rules down early. Especially with little girls, as they are truly little monsters that will forever be trying to manipulate you.

Lol love her really, but I see what them women are about. I think they all hold secret classes on how to get away with crap. I’m sure the old period mood thing is somthing mother pass on to daughters at age 12.

I can imagine it now: “sit down love, I have a secret for you, the most power secret, a secret that only us women know about. for a millenia women folk have a way of getting away with murder for 1 week out of evey 4………..”

Save in 16 I was going away not long after the vote, so I changed 2k two days before the vote for 1. 32 iirc. Told my in laws, who wanted to leave, and wouldn’t have a dip would follow, I told them if a leave vote come in (I never believed it would) the pound would drop. They said no it wouldn’t. (failing to notice at that point I have a degree in economics)

I think they got 1.11 when they eventually got round to swapping money.

Last week I changed some cash, at 1.19. Which was about the same as last year. But to compound issues, is the Spanish, and to a further extent French diesel has rocked. In France from around €1 to about €1.38 (supermarket price) spin €1 to €1.20.

Between the exchange rate and the fuel prices, my hol will cost about £200 than it would of the day before the vote. Just on fuel.

I’d recommend if you need euros next summer, get them before the leave date. One of two things will happen, the price will stay the same, or two, it will drop. Either way you won’t lose out. Funny as that’s the same simple advice I gave the in laws.

Like I said above, I’ll start taking notes again when I hear the EUs closing deals, as ours mean next to nothing. (see the katy perry example above).

The pm and her reps can propose anything she likes, and tell us brits how good it will be. It’s all BS untill someone on the EU side agrees with it.

It very much like me saying I’m going to marry Katy Perry, and getting 100 friends of solicitors to discribe the 100s of ways we will have sex together. It’s all mute untill Katy perry agrees to the marriage.

So at this point in the brexit  I don’t really care what any of our politicians of UK economists say, what’s more important is what the EU leaders say.

May’s Point of view and plans are all but irrelevant.it will ultimately come down to accepting of rejecting what ever plan Europe puts in place. We (the country) don’t have a say. We are over a barrel.

Hopefully the final proposal, from the EU not the UK, will come down to another vote. Though I don’t see how they can organise a vote quick enough given the EU will wait to the last min to give us there proposal.

Bob the way intel swap their socket evey 2 to 3 years, it’s just not worth over thinking the future proof side of things.

Get the best cpu you can afford, an in 4 years upgrade the gpu.

I recall people on mm (probably Dave) saying don’t build a system on the frost get core I socket, as intel already gave it an end of life date before it had even come to market.

I built one anyway, (I built 2), that was now 10 years ago, it’s had a new gpu an ssd and gone for 4gb to 8gb ram since then, and still handles gaming just about. It does 1080p on med setting.

Since the launch of core I, I tell seem to change their sockets evey 2 years, so there is no future proofing.

Luckily for everyone, consumer software is way behind consumer hardware, so any higher mid range cpu you get, will be good for at least 5 years at gaming.

I built my gaming rigs thinking 5 years they will be dead, as pre that, gaming rigs would last a year or two, so I thought 5 would be a stretch, evey year after about year 4, I’ve though this year is the year. But when I want to push it, it still works for me. And I think of better uses for the £1k.

The days when I’m dropping below 60fps constantly is the day I’ll start considering an upgrade.

My tip would be is to stick with a 1080p screen to game on. Sort of goes again the gaming PC ethos of having the best screen money can buy,  but I’m happy at 1080p, and more to the point my cpu and gpu is. If I upped to a 1440p screen, the rig would probably fall over. But it is a ten year old set up. That’s like 150 in pc years.

I’d say get a 1440p screen, and a blazing rig. And as long as you stick with 1440p screen, the rig should last 5 or 6 years, with just a gpu update in 4 years.

I use a vpn mainly to watch 3pm football that is aired in the US.

My other use is on my phone, I use hotspot vpn, have it set up to launch itself if I open any app that uses money, like my bank, amazon eBay, all etc… Mainly for security while im out the house.

As I know the one day where I’m flustered, I’ll be on some open WiFi and I’ll forget to fire up the vpn before I use whatever money app.

Though today with all most perfect 3 and 4g it’s rare I need a public wifi option. But the day I do, you know I’ll be flustered and would of forgotten to manually launch the vpn, so I just keep my 10 year old setup. It’s the first thing I set up when I set up a phone

There is a free version that is fine for what I mentioned regarding securing the phone. But I pay for the pro version (£18 pa), just so I can stream football.

The free version will slow you down to about 5 meg, the paid for tops out at 20meg I’ve found. Which is fine for watching footy. Also it gets rid of any adds.

I could set up one from my router or pi, and have a free an fast one with no adds. I may cancel my dd (iirc October) and try it then.

I do find if something works for me, I’ll run with it for longer than I needed to. 10 years ago my current set up, was the best for me at that time. It still works perfectly for me and what I need if for, but I know there is at the least cheaper (free) ways avalible to do the same, if not better job.
