It’s funny the way you say EU screwed remainers. They didn’t. It’s their job to makes trade deals so all memberstates don’t have to. So no screwing went on. Just another day in the EU office. It’s not their concern on how their deals effects non member nations. It’s not their business.
the statement about punishment, of course there will be punishments. I’d expect nothing less. If I was on team EU I’d be demanding it.
Looks a good deal for uk car plants. Sorry looks a terrible deal I ment. Which about evey man and his dog knew that credit means trh end to the majority of car production eventually. And as day e pointed out Airbus (round corner) is likely l to go, even if we figure out a way to make it work for now. Long term, the orders/contracts will thin out.
The Finance markets will leak away too. All the stuff we’re good at, all the stuff loads of our economy needs to continue.
The country won’t be a good place for 20 years IF (I still think it a big if) the uk leaves. I care little who gets to make the politic orders, bothers me little if it’s a shower of shite in London or brussels. The only real election that ever changes my life noticeable is local elections. Generals seem to be a waist of time. For ever its go, tory saves money, everyone gets fed up, so labour comes in and we spend all the money, so tories come back in and save money…… All crap. I’ll take the EU over our lot, given ours have a dismal track record.
Maybe we have too many levels of leader ship. How about just scrapping the lot.
Why we are at it, at 16 I’d of loved an EU army, I’d of signed up to some regiment that basis iteself in south Europe. I’m all up for an EU army.
I suppose I could seperate the two, but that just adds more complexity.
I still have the old original BT open reach FTTC white modem type box, then my wifi router. I’ve never looked at seoerating the router for the WiFi. Mainly cos it would mean anther box needing another power outlet.
I must have 10 things being powered out of the two 2 sockets avalible to me.
I’m in holiday mode now, so I’ll look in to it late August.
Let’s calm down on the insults, even the passive aggressive ones. Or this will have to be closed.
We are all friends here, let’s not let this issue end that. As at the end of the day, it matters little what any of us think about it. What ever happens will happen regardless of our opinions. So let’s keep our debates civil.
Shame. I’ll probably fork out about the same as I did for the one I have. Sort of top consumer/budget prosumer kit.
A good rule of thumb for most purchases I find.
Jcd, I don’t think in this department you can do with Jack of all trades, you need professionals. The issues come in with the likes of SAP when two complex or even 3 may be 4. Programing, it, business needs and accountancy, all complex roles that need to be achieved in one system.
This means lots of bodies all trying to tell the designer (programmer) what they need from the set up, and the programmer having to find solutions that pass all the regs and meet the need of the customer.
Non are trades you can half know and muddle along in. Maybe 30 years ago, you could get away with it, but not now. Then you could probably use just access and a book keeper. Now it’s a mine field.
Not to mention people in high tecky roles can’t explain stuff to people that arnt in their line of work. Try and explain htlm to your wife. I struggle to tech my wife how to use her androd phone. And for the first 6 years of Android, I was like the go to Android guy. What you think is simple to the person your telling rarely precise it that way
Then in business getting the data and simple info your require, can be pita. Not to mention everyone in the chain is trying to protect their own arse, rather than the overall objective.
This is why large scale it project often cost 5x the original cost, and still fall short and fail.
We here have some degree of knowalge on programing, and we see these things as relatively simple concepts. It’s the details, and (lack of) communication that screws these projects.
If we did opt out of WW2, we may still have an empire, and not had 60 years of dept payment to the USA, not had to had over out atomic work, jet work and everything out Thr larder to get them interested.
So there could be some great reasons to of not entered WW2.
However what we thought was right is what we did, and it cost us greatly. The parrell to brexit is a stretch, Especally given we are split on what we think is right atm, and it won’t coast a few hundred uk lives either way.
Though I don’t like to distinguish uk life’s with any other nations lives. I hate the argument, that a UK, EU, US life is worth more than say an Iraqis or Afghan life.
Life is life. Let’s all get along. You come her, I’ll go there etc… We should expand the EU, try and get everyone under the same brolly.
Not that I like the EU that much, but it’s a start, by leaving we will be taking a backwards step. The money cost is irrelevant. It’s all imaginary anyhow. Just like boarders.
All weapons used for control.
Ive been getting many drop outs, since about Xmas on my Asus router. I’m thinking it’s on its last legs. I’m yet to give it a full factory reset (it is on the latest os patch).
The reason I’ve not done a full reset is all the iot crap I have, will take me a good while to set back up.
Once I get off my jollies, late August, I’m going to first give it a full factory reset, if that’s the same, load up one of latest, stable, open source offerings. There are a few for my router.
It’s served well for over 4 years so it may be age, and I may be in the market for a new router. Given the market has shifted over that time, it looks like I can replace my £150 (4 years plus ago) with a £40ish router, Which sounds nice.
I didn’t pick up on any sound out right tactics. I thought Croatia played great, real positive football.
About 15mins in I was worried they wouldn’t be able to keep the pace they set. Especially as they was yet to capitise on their possession. The French first goal, was unlucky, the second a joke, as was Croatia 2nd.
But an over all decent game, though French looked quite poor. I think the football gods favoured them today.
The trophy ceremony was great I loved the down pour. Added somthing differnt. Did you notice Russia doesn’t rain on Vlad. I mush see how much an umbrella carrier costs. I’d like one of them.
What an unfair sport football can be. Croatia such the better team today, just didn’t get the rub of the green.
In all fairness to France, they funneled Croatia wide almost every time, and the two centre half’s was very good to any Arial threat. Loris, mistake apart, was very good too.
We are talking England can only improve, sadly the same is true for France.
One day he will distroy Liverpool, he is yet to have a decent game agisnt us. I’ve seen him taken off at halftime once. And once watch Milner pocket him for 90 mins. The next meeting he was benched.
But you know one day, the footballing gods will favour him. He is a very good player, one growing alot, who gets so much stick at anfield he just shrivels up and wilts. But one day he will get us.
As regards to his England form, it’s just shows how much he needs the right players, or maybe time to adapt to the players around him, to shine.
City, like Liverpool, relay on a handful of plays, the players them selves are not that important, (they are obviously ), so maybe he just finds it hard to flip from his club system, ie knowing when and where to run depending on who has the ball, and when you have th ball simply hitting areas of the pitch you know your teammate is meant to attack when you pick the ball up. So he may struggle with adapting from team to team.
If he doesn’t sort it out, no matter how good he becomes for city and beyond, he will be dead wood in regards to England.
Kane, I just can’t comment on, I have no idea how he gets his tallies. I may make a point of fitting in more spurs games next season. As the man is a mystery to me.
Though like Lee said, he like the ball to come to him, which years gom by we’d celebrate as a goal poacher. The game has moved on, today you need 11 defenders first, to defend properly, to need to defend as a unit,if one man drops off, it’s just kills everyone else’s efforts.
But the f-er does score! Does he take the pens for spurs? I’d imagine so. But he may not.
But that golden boot is a classic. In 20 years we won’t remember what the goals was, and hell still be dining out on it.
What we do need, for someone to out score Kane. 3 pens, and a deflection make up his 6. It’s quite embarrassing
Before the WC me and a friend was discussing Kane, and we couldn’t figure out how he scores his goals. He does nothing exceptionally but always seems to be up there.
This WC answered it, he is just F-ing lucky.
Also when we boil the ‘great England WC’ we have 3 wins, against minnows, 1 draw, and 3 defeats. Not that great really. Even though one of ours will get the golden boot, ironically, we can’t score from open play.
The experiance will do them good, and this is a new young team, next time they can only be better, and they will have to be as they won’t get such an easy run at it again.
Disipointing ending, we was far inferior to Belgium. I think we was lucky to be in the poison we was in the first eng bel game.
We found our level I think. They was so much better in the middle of the field.
I also like the think pad referbs. I’m a hugh fan of thier older keyboards and I’m a fan of saving cash.
For a work station / Web browser, they make great sense. Even if they are 3 or 4 years old, for sub £150 you can afford to replace it yearly if you had too, and still not feel hard done by.
If my 8 year old asks for a lappy for Xmas. I probably will go down that route, as they are tough and at sub 150 not the end of the world if she breaks it.
Why not do what all the other white folk have done and move out of Wembley?
As if the swing is 95 percent all the way to 5 percent, half the isulse is the local white folk moving out, as it is coloured propel moving in.
I first went Wembley in I thin 1992 or 3, first time I’d been a place in Thr UK with next to no white people. So very much doubt the swing has been over the last 40 years. As 30 years ago, it was probably closer to a 90/10 mix in favour of coloureds.(not even sure if that word is except able today).
I have no issue with immigrants, wether EU or world wide. We a historically a mixing pot of an island. Under our current law, if someone turns up, and doesn’t find a job within 3 months (iirc) we the uk have the power to send them home (if safe). So I’m happy with how it is. I’d rather we dropped all boarders. After all they are just man made, and designed to control the people within them.
I worked around grater London for about 2 years 2002till 5, hated the place. Too much traffic, very few had manners, the ones with wasn’t the white ‘locals’ on the whole.
From what I seen in London, is its very segregated in to uk white, uk black, UK poles, etc.. Then you have smaller immigrant communities for each type of person.
If we just all just integrated more, made some effort, I’m sure we wouldn’t even notice other people’s colours
Liverpool is a great example of good integration. You get the odd racist, but there isn’t many. I’m sure there are others cities also. Quite ironic given Liverpools dark past.
Brexit, isn’t gonna solve immergrarion so it’s a worthless debate any way.
I’m the same with cpus now. Once I’d knew them all in order. Now no idea.
So the front portion of it is called a gable end. Now when you follow the roof back to where it keys into the main roof, that’s called a valley roof or gully in some places.
Really we are just naming the roof shapes and joins. The oppersite to a valley roof is a hip roof.
So you have an out crop that holds a window, which joins to the main house roof by a valley roof, that terminates with a gable end, that holds the window.
That’s about ad close as I could describe it. But anyone in the know, should be able to scetch a decent interpretation of your set up, just from my paragraph.
Does that outcrop have an actual name? Maybe, but I’m not sure. But it’s not a gable front. A gable end is the shape and term action of the building. What orientation it is doesn’t matter. It could house your front door, and it would still be an ‘end’.
Save on laptops is always a good starting point. (and usally end point too). There is some stuff in your price range in their clearance stock. But I’d still go to the normal laptop section afterwards, pick your screen size and ram and sort by price, scroll down to your max budget. Then work backwards say for 350 down to 275, and compare what they have.
https://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/clearance-laptops
Also look at how easy ram and ssd is on any given model to upgrade yourself, as you may some cash on getting a better cpu and entry level hdd and lowest ram option, then spending the saved cash on doubling Thr memory and an ssd.
From the sound of your mums usage, probably a 120gb would do, but given 240s are not much more, if the budget allows, why not.
Why not just let them come. Keep the movement of people the same. It’s a good set up.
I’m sure he knows what a gable end is, I took the question to mean, is there a name for a small bay like outcrop with a gable end/gable upper.
As it is a gable end, yet isn’t actually the end of the house.
To me it’s like a mixture of a dorma gable style window, that is closer to a bay window set up, but without the actually ‘bay’ window.
Is call it an outcrop gable end. As a gable end typically refers to the side of a building that ends with a peak, as appose to a hip roof upper. The gable is preferred for space in the loft over a hip style. Plus it’s simpler and cheaper to build.
The WC overall was good, but I think we finally seen out level. The first half was good. We controlled it well. Second half we ran out of steam and had little talent to back it up.
However this hasn’t spoiled the comp at all. If anything them getting this far was just a bonus. 4 weeks ago with was hoping for a last 16 spot. Last 4 is good, Saturday we will finally how game 3 would of worked out.
It’s a real shame we seemed to go out with no fight. The second half was just flat.
