Always nice to have a new kick ass toy.
Bob, I think I used it all up back then lol. Thr first time I stopped I went Thr cold turkey route. Lasted 4 years. Them ended up back on them some how. I don’t know why I still smoke about one a day, as I obviously don’t need to! It’s not even one a day. It may be non for 3 days then I’ll have 4 in one day etc…
Since I’ve been away, I’ve had 3 in ten days (feels like a month!) not even halfway through. So I’m to concerned over a few a week. I know zero is better than even one, but I see it as 10 a week is better than my old 40 a day rolls. I still do rolls, proper ciggies I find to dry, always have done.
When I’m out with one of my mate, I’ll happily smoke 20 of his while drinking with him. Mainly as he never had one out of his mouth.
When I stay at his, the wife makes me strip and dump all my cloths into the washer before I go upstairs, As I reek. He is one of only a few people i know that still smoke in their house.
Even when I smoked full time, I’d go out the back. Probably cos of the kids. He doesn’t have any, so suppose he has never had reason to go out side. And cos he is always smoking, he doesn’t smell his house. He would probably come on mine and turn his nose up at the dog smell.
Tbh the dogs only smell in the winter, so the house smells good in the summer, come jan, even I sometime can smell the dogginess of the house. Bathing them only seems to make the house smell worse. So usally it’s only Thr parlour where they bath, before they are cut. About every 6 to 8 weeks.
By best friend done something very similar Richard. One night after the pub, the idiot decided to make chips, he nodded off, was awoken by the smoke alarm. He decided to pick up the pan, and carry outside. He didn’t trip or anything, but made a mess of his hands.
He learnt a lesson that night. One he should of already know. Iirc he wad about 22 at the time.
I’d favour more integration with EU. And scrap our own gov. They have hardly done anything good since we formed our fist navy and ruled the waves.
I don’t get the hate on more EU integration. Id rather be on the inside than the outside. The long term future needs more integration not less. Leaving the EU is a stupid idea.
I’d happily drop all out gov completely. They do f all anyway. All parties not just the current lot.
I’ve seen something like that. I think it may of been bluepeter or maybe some esther rantzen type show. They was demonstrating water on a chip pan, and cheap non fireproof couches.
They had mock up rooms win metal shipping containers.
We might of even been shown it in Jr school. But I remember it, as some type of education, or maybe consumer ed program. May of been watchdog. All them programs are alike, and mold into one in my brain.

The 1+3 is an old phone now, I think they are up to 1+6, maybe 5 and 6 is about to drop. So you’re not going to find a 3 new. I think one plus usally sell their current model ad their flag ship, and the previous phone as thier ‘budget’ option, so you’ll be looking at a 4 or maybe 5.
Loved my 1+1, kept mine with cm os, instead of oxygen, after they had thier falling out. But I heard oxygen os is very good. They basically went to stock and ‘borrowed’ a few of cm tricks.
I look at like this. I buy it cos it works, as long as they don’t cripple it, it has functioned as I expected. Any updates to the os are a bonus. As long as security patches work.
Now if I paid 700 quid, I’d want os updates at leat untill the 2 year mark. It’s about managing expectations. WF and moto do this well. The tech press may pan them for not updating the os, but we are talking about “cheap” devices, not iPhones or galaxies, so I don’t see the issue the tech press has.
If it works form day one as you expected and continues to, we can’t complain.
Converts may the worse preachers. My FiL enjoys the life out of me. He always tuns his noes up to the smell of smoke, and like me he was a 40 a day roll smoker untill my wife (at 11) convinced him to stop. At about 30. 30 years later he is like an anti smoking Hitler.
Ive packed in and started again a few times, first time was at 28 for 4 years. I did smoke 40 a day, now down to ten (secret) a week on a bad week. So I don’t moan. I should stop, and will, but I look at it as 10 vs 280 a week is defo an improvement.
If I drink I’ll eat 2mg lozenges.others don’t think they hit the spot, I do, or Atleast the plasebo effect does.
Back to the meet up, if given enough time to get a cheap premier inn (etc) ill have a drive in to enemy tertiary .
Do you still get the security patches bob? I hope so as I recommended WF to you in the beginning. Though you must of been happy to begin with, as yoy got a second. And neither of us seen the cm ship sinking.

As I can recall my dad in the early, 80s telling me he wouldn’t put polly covings (remember them) in our kitchen, because of fire danger.
It worried me more as my bedroom was above the kitchen lol.
Yes JC, thr moto is on par with the best, at about 3 months behind, not great but that’s about the best you’re going to get, outside of ponying up for a pixel device, which get the security patches first, so in July, you get July’s patch. My Nexus 6p and pixel 1, (so 3 and 2 year old phones, still get thr monthly patches) I don’t think thr nexus will get O, it wasn’t on the beta list, the pixel is. I just rolled it back to P, before I left for hols, as it’s my back up phone incase something happens to my P20p. Which gets it’d security patches about 3 months late.
So if that is you’re main concern, and it should be, you need whatever the latest Google phone is. The pixel 3 is just around the corner, so a pixel 1 or 2,may be a good referb buy, but I can’t see either being in the sub 200 bracket, and then there would be it’s limited warranty..
Im happy with the 3 month mark tbh, it’s better than what we had just a few years ago. Google are really putting thier foot on the oems throats to get the security patches out in some form of short order.
But as I said, if im getting a 200 phone, a full os update is a bonus to me, and not expected. As tbh, all the os versions from the last 3 years are good enough.

They are band in kitchens Lee, must be 20 years or more ago. (but my grasp of time is poor).
I wouldn’t have them anywhere, as if there is a fire in the house, there is a chance you’ll need to pass though a room with then on The ceiling melting and dropping on you like napalm!
I have no issues with motos updates. There security patches are quicker than Samsungs, and who cares about main os upgrades when your paying sub £200? Christ your lucky if samsung get you an os upgrade within a year of it’d release, on phone worth about a grand.
All about expectations. For under 200£ something has to give. Given the os it comes with works, and the phone will be dead in 2 years. I stopped caring about os updates. Also P is nothing special, so you won’t be missing anything that O hasn’t got. Nothing useful anyway.
When I vapped briefly I’d still go outside to do it. Even though smoking is allowed after 10.30 in my local.
I see it as being curious to the other people in the room. The best thing they did was ban smoking inside places. So I don’t want people vaping inside either. Both horrible. Even though I’m back on about 10 ciggies a week. Sigh.

I’d go moto every time. It’s what I buy my kids. and The older ones have continued to buy (except The eldest where only apple will do!). I’ve been very pleased with them it was only The 2 and 3 moto Gs that I think went astray. The 1,4and 5 have been great.
Even the Moto Es are very good, (not looked at the last couple of genes mind), but I’ve recommended a couple to a few older peeps that wanted a cheap smart phone, for FB to speak to grandkids. And they have been fine. I also bought the wife a Moto E (second gen iirc had 4g) as a punishment for loosing her sgs5.
Instead of hating it, she finally realised what I’ve been saying for years about stock over touch wiz.
Not that either of us are running stock arm. We are on EMUI which looks horrid, so changed it with Nova and pixel icons. And I’m really loving the alot of the extras they have bolted on top of stock in the menus. Alot of fine controls over alot of aspects of the phone. Being away, they have come in very handy. Reminds me a bit of Cyanogen which I loved.
But get the moto g, save a few bob and get the five if you can’t stretch to a 6. The 5 is good, and the camera is very good for the price. As was the 4 tbh.
If you want to go mad, get a P20 Pro. Or a pixel 2. Or 4 moto g5’s.

One of our Giff Gaff sims went down last night, and is still down, can I cause them of taking away my sons right to the Internet. Lol. Joking aside, he isn’t happy, currently hotspoting of mums phone connection.
