Sorry that didn’t work, I know you could draw a route once. I can’t check now as I’m in France, and for the first year left my laptop and work at home. Sorry.

Glad you got some headway with my maps.

On way you could Fudge it with g maps, if my maps fails you is to drop a load of ‘pins’ and save them along your route, then just drive from ‘pin to pin’ . I used that method last week to navigate a hand full of places in Spain. Not perfect though.

You’ll need to use a PC. You can draw your route onto the map then save it. Then you open It on your phone.

This is how it was about 8 years ago, so I’d do a less complex trial run before you commit to your larger route.

Update to let me know if it still works

We have stayed in 5 on this time round, 4 of five the five where nicer than my home. (like much nicer), one place, wasn’t so good, but fine for the price. And it had a cracking pool, so I just got drunk each night and let the kids swim.

For the last 4 or 5 years I’ve been using booking dot com, for one or two nights stays, and Home Away, for longer stays.

My last two euro adventures was booked fully using my phone only.

Google maps, tom Tom speed camera app,  booking dot com, Home Away and the only thing I needed a browser for was ferry savers site.

Covered just over 4k km, probably about 1000 yet to go. Not checked, but I know it’s in on session, including a boat. So will be a long one.

Just about to plan a euro adventure to Madrid for next years champions league final. Doubtful Liverpool will get there. But I’ll be there with 3 mates. I’ll just the same apps as I mentioned above.

In the event of a no deal. There will only be a no deal, if we leave. The whole hard vs soft, is fantasy.

Ive said before, our politicians can spout, this thst and the other is going to happen. Untill I hear a high ranking EU member say anything solid, it’s just all fantasy

We are leaving, we’ll go in to a recession, if we are lucky, it won’t end up a long term depression.

Though I still don’t think we’ll actually leave.

What a shame about Hatachi, we had one in the 80s and my old man swore they was one of the best. First house in the street with teletext lol.

That tv lasted about 15 years, to be replaced by wane with fast test (coloured short cuts lol)

For your tv to pack in at just over 2 years, in sure you could claim under the sales of goods act. A tv, no matter the price, should at the least work for 5 years. Once a tv was a minimum of 10 years.

Tbh I think our youngest tv is probably 10, oldest 15. There was a time where we would replace tvs as they failed, but now they are hardly ever on. Even if the lounge tv went, I’d probably just pull one of the older 1080p sets out of another room.

Funny as in 04 when we moved in this place, over about a 5 year period, we bought At least 5 sets, (as we had sky multirooom x5 at one point), now we are down to 3 sets. Non are on that often anymore.

We all use phone, tablet or laptops now. I can see a point where we woundnt even have one in the lounge.

Nothing against tv, and the amount of shite programs, more our consumption patterns have changed a lot.

The luck or lack of it is a major factor. You can have the slightest knock, and end up dead, and you hear of people that survive failed parachute deployments.

My nan, when I was about five, broke both her ankles stepping off the second step of a step ladder, thinking she was on the bottom step.

I don’t have a tv above 1080p, Its been 10 years since I chased specs on tvs. However my friend bought a £300 50″ tv (unknown name) that has hdr, it’s probably not even close to the best hdr, but when we was playing about with it, I was impressed with the 4k hdr we was getting off Netflix and YouTube.

Though it didn’t get me out buying a new tv for the WC, which would be about my only driver to a higher res tv. Also I’d of had to upgrade my input box as I think our amazon tv and rokus max out at 1080p.the older rokus are 720p. Which look great BTW on Netflix and BBC streams. So res isn’t everything.

Hyundai have come along way in a short time. The Chinese are not far behind. 10 years ago they was making pure shite. Today’s chineese knock off are really good. It’s only a matter of time before they become the next japan. Good cars that work (all have that nailed down today, you can’t really buy a bad one, unless unlucky) but the Chinese will be building and selling at 2/3s the price in 5 or 10 years time.

I love that BM bob. Though abit be for my time, so I’d of thought it a 2002. I love them old BMs. ALFA also have somthing that looks very similar. I’d love somthing like that today.

I’d imagine you’d be able to squeeze an Honda type R engine in it too. But even one of theses new (un) economical 1.3litre 3cy turbo engines would make a 2002 fly.

I do love the splicity of the older motors. Even the original civic looks amazing today.

Wouldn’t like a crash in any of them.

As long as mine gone back in OK shape, I’m happy for the break.

I say ok shape, as my FiL and MiL are very outdoorsy, so a number of bones have come back broken, and countless cuts and bruses the kids like the adventure.

It’s like I think ed said earlier, the grand parents can give the time, that parents just can’t. So the kids like it, the GP like it, and us parents like the rest. I don’t mind what they feed them tbh, my point was just, as the grandkids have multiplied, his position on “lazy feeding” has had a radical change of heart lol.

Just driven up from the south to zaragoza, and I must say, the Spanish economy seems to be looking much better than two years ago. There is building work everywhere unlike last time I was in Spain.

Ive not looked at any stats as I’ve had limited Internet, but I know 2 years ago under 30s employment was through the floor. I’d imagine it’s on the up now.

Also the digs I’m I’m now is huge, and I have almost 300 up and down. Which everyone is happy about. The fambo have gone out for tea, and I’m having a few bears way hung Madrid v juve.

Love zaragoza, a real hidden gem.

                                  ?? Feel bad for you.

Mines looking worse for wear atm, but just though the build up of motorway miles, just over 5k km so far, lots of bugs, and backed on spanish sand and grit. (it’s been hitting 38 to 39 evey day)  I won’t take it the local car place as it’s the drive through roller one, so it will have to wait untill I get home in 8 days time.

The lovely deep matalic fleck green, now just looks mat black full of sand.

Also I’ve found at 39 degrees, my clair con just can’t keep up. 35 it’s OK, 39,it can’tcool the inside to stop me leaking.

Ive noticed most people drive old bins, totally battered, and old, loads of mk1 kas, and they all have 3rd party fans on their dashes. I’d die, in an non aircon car at 30, never mind knocking on 40.

When you first open the door it has to be 55-60 in the cabin. I’ve been opening the boot, and turning the aircon on, for 5 mins, then shut the boot for another couple of mins be for I get in.

My half leather sets, are a big no no. If I lived in a hot place, cloth all day long. All day.

Hope you get it sorted. I not long ago had to get a dent and about a 7 inch deep scratch (through top coat and paint down to metal), lucally it gin done for cost, which was 150. He blamed my paint. He reckoned it would of been 50 cheaper if it wasn’t for the posh paint.

I’ll be getting my new car about November December, on the plus side I’ve gone for petrol (first in about 15 plus years), but I best be able to fuel it. Lol.

It all seems to be getting quite serious now.

It was probably my FiL that buried it bob. His first answer is always “I’ll dig a hole” .

He spent far to long underground mining, we think he misses it. Any excuse, and hell grab a spade. He is in his 60s now, but he can still dig, better than most 20 something.

We just break the bbq and the beers out and leave him to it.
