It didn’t lose me you did. I stopped reading it shit you got out of the Scum. I would wipe my arse the the shite.

No red top tbh, but The Scum has a very special place I’m my hate hole. POS rag.

If the coms sec is getting his “figure on the pules info” from the Scum newspaper we are all fucked. Did she give him the job cos he could do twitter.

Bob, you best hope the Scum doesnt get to write his eulogy. He sounds right up there street to lie about.

I hate the sun for other reason..

Though the new bread of leftist social worriers will moan about anything they don’t agree with, and call it an outrage. But try and tell them to shut up, and you get called all kinds.

I neither left nor right, I’m a massive hypocrit, I’ll agree with the left on one topic, but may also agree with the right on a totally different topic. However the two totally different issue, may actually completely contradict each other.

However in like a lot of people ill admit to being a hypocrit. I can’t see how anyone can be either left or right, unless brainwashed. I just take each issue on merit, try and look up facts, them you my own moral compass to come to a decision. However this is how you figure out your (Im) a compleat hypocrit.

Spelt hypocrit wrong every time, but I’m suffering the worst hangover ever, so be nice. As the years go by I just can’t hack it. Though it was a long one last night 3pm, ending at 10am! Far too old for this! Two hours sleep, then home. Now just dying.

Love the smell of that stuff, but I buy the Tesco own 25p (ish) a bottle version. Smell the same and far cheaper.

Now when I was in the marines, after being out in the field for weaks at a time, when back at Base, we put a couple of cap fulls of the real stuff in a bath full of water, (don’t try with the cheap stuff), as way to clean out all our cuts, grazes, stings and blisters etc… while sleeping in the bath for a few hours.

          Also liquid savalon iirc.

Just wash it down afterwards with some detol or your bathroom cleaner of choice, after your grout is clean.

Actually, just jif cream you can wipe it on, and leave it for an hour and rice that off.

However I don’t mind white vinegar, but hate table vinegar smell and taste. Our house we either you detol or vinegar.

White vinegar and bicarb, mix together make a paste and apply, leave over night then scrub off the next day.

My issue re the white box is it has my login and password info. Is there anyway for me to extract that without calling TT?

As my router where the pw and user names is I just leave blank atm. I’ve never been given my login info, as ive never needed it since I’ve been on FTTC.

Given the white box is as old as my connection, I have a feeling it may be that that’s giving me my issues, so I wouldn’t mind ditching it anyhow. Also it would free up a plug space, which are in high demand in that corner of my house.

I was in the Premier inn close to christies hospital earlier in the year, and I was getting 65meg over 4g. So never bothered upping the PI basic Internet.

I was in a renal flat in zaragoza last week, I wad getting 270 up and down (give or take), My ten year old girl was getting 380 up and down so last yeas P9 seems to have a faster wifi chip set than my P20pro!

Not that one Could tell any difference  Between either in both upload and down load. But I condnt tell the difference between 76 (max my line can do) and 40 when we briefly downgraded at home. (the 1meg up down from 20meg up, we could feel l hense the brief downgrade to 40m

Now what Chris seems finished, I’ll now ask a question. I’m non the market for router, and would kile own that can serve the full 80mg to each device, and set a static address or a form of one. So it can host a Minecraft server. Also have Atleast one usb3 in put.

Asus would be good, as ive had a good ride with one the last 6 years, but it’s starting to wobble now.

I just need a router as my FTTC had the bt white box, that handles all the login stuff.

Ive never been give any username or login by TT since I moved to FTTC. 8ts all in the white box apparently.

Yes Ed. Is it related to the issue the US gov sent out a msg to all citizens to reboot their Routers about 6 weeks ago. I’ve been away so never kept up with the story.

But at the time, I wad watching security now with Steve Gibson, and he was confused but the advice of the US gov. Mostly cos it doesn’t usally give out advice to normal folk anyway.

He said if I recall, there has to be something more to whatever the issue was. As just out of the blue, the give asked it’s peeps to reboot Routers. So he summerised somthing must be wrong, and well soon hear more about it. As if its something serious enough for the give to send out an all hand msg, it’s more than likely a simple ‘reboot’ would not surfice.

He guessed, that he thought this would be some type of attack that hid on the cashe and could survive a reboot. And that was with him having next to no info on the issue.

I really gave Tinker Tailor, soldier spy, again! started this book many time, all I hear is great reviews, but I just can’t get into it.

So I gave The Templars by Dan Jones another go on my 12 h drive last night, and started to really enjoy it. Don’t know if it was enough to recommend it. I’ll have to wait and see how fast or oven if, I finish it.

I use a hootoo, and I have a tavel passport I got for my In laws that does the job you want also.

You could also just use a laptop. My lad used this approach to get around the two device limit on his uni wifi for 4 years.

He bought a lenovo laptop he hated, he was going to return it, but set ui up as a ‘router/gateway’ to his WiFi, and just left it doing its front for 4 years, between 2 dwellings.

Though a hootoo would be a better shout. It have peoblay 4 or 5 modes. Same as the old travel mate passport I think it was called. I deplored that as a wifi drudge at the In laws, (but it does what you want too) about 5 or more years ago, to give thier (my) TT you view box a connection to the Internet.

If you know what exchange your currently connected to, go and burn it down. Then they will have to fix it ?

You have one main account, but you can open many sub accounts, they call them pots.

I have one pot that rounds up evey payment to the next pound and drops it in the pot. Over the last 3 weeks away I’ve managed to save the best part of 150 with out noticing it.

I could pull it out and back in the main account. But I’ve decided to just let it run, and I’ll see if I can pay for my trip to Madrid next may out of it.

You can also if you wish log into the account from a browser or any mobile phone. Only one log in at a time though. So you can share the accounts if you wish. Though me and trh wife have very seperate money. We have a running The house account, savings, then our own accounts for spending our allowances etc. At the end of each two moth period, I skim off any ectra out of the bill account into our savings. I like to have all my money (not much of it) all ordered and in separate accounts. The bill account always takes president, then a proportion to the savings, and then out allowances. Then any extra gets put away once I notice the ‘float’ in the bill account has grown.

The wife isn’t very tech savvy so she isn’t interested in the Monzo account, if something works, she isn’t interested in learning new ways. but two of my kids already have set them up (well one, and the other is in the process ), and moving money to them is very simple.

Re finding out what a company is about, can only happen when they mess up, and how they deal with it. It’s why I happily pay Amazon each year. Nothing is ever an issue. The customer always seems to be right.

ZTE is fine, as is the other Chinese brands. I really wound give it any thought. If your bank has an app that is supported on your device. You have nothing to worry about. Even if you only use the browser to bank I wouldn’t worry.

The banks bend over backwards to fix issues fast. Over the years I’ve had 4 or 5 Halifax issues, the largest was 600£, over two days of cash withdrawals. Even then, I had the money back in my account within in a 15 to 20 min call. All varifide before the call was ended.

Now, a couple of months ago I got a Monzo card to talk away (recommend it so much) .however when I was testing it, on a Sunday night at 10.30pm,all I wanted was cash back (30)for my girls school trip. I went in my local One Stop, and as usual their link machine wasn’t working, so I opted for cash back.

Now I bought a bottle of pop for a pound and 30 cash back, now when I used the card (chip and pin), tje one stop machine bounced the card, but the accompanying Monzo app come thorough as approved. So the £31 vanished out the account, but as it was declined shop side, all the shop could do was give me all the receipts, and write me a quick account of what happened, in the shop log book, and a copy for me. And asked me to come back the following afternoon to speak to a manager.

Once home, I opened the monzo app, and on the transaction, there is a button to raise a dispute. So I did, within 2 mins I had a live person on chat, I explained my issue, he asked for the declined receipts, then just sent me the money back, and a bit of compo (a tenner). All this was around 12am Sunday night Monday morning.

It wasnt a lot of money, but to get service and it sorted midnight Sunday impressed me a lot.

Given it was the first or second time I used the card, it did make we worry about using this while out out the country, so I battered the card over the next two weeks, and used it solely since I’ve been away. It’s extremely good.

I’ll be moving my daily needs to the card when I’m home, it makes the Halifax and HSBC set ups look ancient, and they are hard work in comparison. Can’t speak highly enough about the service and the app.

It started a few years ago as a pre paid holiday card, but now is a fully (or almost) featured bank. Even gives you interest, but only on your saving pots, and not on your day to day account. Which isn’t an issue for me.

The only wifi I’d use to do anything remotely financial, is my own home wifi. I always use mobile data when out the house for banking and buying. Mobile data is rather secure. WiFi is a crap shoot.

Configure a tv. All I do is turn of the dynamic showroom setting, pig in a roku, and run the tv to hdmi1. Then never touch it again.

Also loose every remote withing a week. Well by lose I mean put them somewhere safe, and never remember where. Everyone uses their phones to operate our boxes.

Given that anyone under about 55 isn’t going to have to see or endure the outcome of this. Maybe there should of been a cut off age on the referendum.

We keep hearing on how bad the Spanish and French economy is doing. But for the first time in probably 15 years of my coming over here, both countries, Especially Spain, seems to be booming in comparison to days of old.

There is building work everywhere, around both south and north Spain. Years gon by sites was ghost towns. Now at 6am,to 12, the plus is buzzing. Then everyone goes bed, for a few hours, then appear again about 10 pm to 1am having dinner.

I wouldn’t mind moving out to either France or Spain. Probably won’t be allowed to come March.
