Ed if no deal happens, we don’t have the infrastructure or man power to cope. I hoping an extention happens as on away the week of brexit. Leave a couple of days before, and back a couple of days after. Going the champions league final.
Already got my international driving licence, as that will be void if ‘no deal’ and atm I’m speaking with insurers and they don’t know if I’ll be insured or not, they said presume you won’t be at this point. I asked about extra international insurance, and they said as it sands under a no deal, no UK based insurer will be able to insure a (product) in the EU.
Lso the current pan from aviva, is when in france the day before brexit (assimg no deal) call a French of Spanish (as that’s where I’m going) company and get temp cover. Now that will be fun, as my French and smanish is limited to haliday crap not insurance chat.
The uk aew treating brexit like a political negotiation, the EU are treating it as a legal seperation. We are playing the wrong game. They have the cards, we bow and jump, end of.
My Asus job to keeps dropping out. Has been for about a year, but I have that much iot crap now, I just cba swapping it all over. I’m sure it will all be simple and the thought is worse than doing it. One day. One day.
That’s a sweet price at £140. I think next time we go on a long road trip I’ll get a 1tb ssd to replace my 1tb samsung hdd. Should extend the battery life form about 9h to 12 or more.
I don’t care for our national government though. Given how incompitant they are, I’d happy get rid of them. After all they are just another level of BS to navigate through.
If I had any faith in them, history is against them, I’d happily want them to stay. Sadly I don’t.
I don’t know why anyone would be that arsed to see Westminster gome. I’ve never heard anyone say anything positive about them in my 40 years. Now it seems we should all be fighting on their behalf.
They make a good living as it is, and by your accounts above then have just enough power to not sink us. And you think we should give them more. Lol.
My interest in brexit has never been who governess us, I tully don’t care, luck birthed me here, I could of been us, of Indian, but I ended here. (or started lol). By interest is economy. Will I (and us all by definition ) be better off in or out. It’s clearly in. It was then, and it’s being proved each day to be true. So I’m more stay today, than I was back then.
Now if I’d voted leave, I’d be feeling a little silly by now. I know almost all my family that voted leave, have done a 180. A few still want to go, out of a mix of not wanted it admit being wrong, and two, issues on Europe I can only assume exist in Red tops and thier own heads.
There may be some positives to leaving, but the positives for staying far far more.
American gods is very good. Strange but good.
Don’t be silly Dave is all project fear mk2.
WRONG it’s project reality…..
Given I use my master card via Google pay, I don’t really care.
Leopard pup. (or kitten) not sure on what one is called.
I have zero tolerance of anything tucking my feet. So I’m out. Make me physically sick.
I remember in the 80s my mum taking me to have a verruca cut out. Would let him anywhere mear me. Mum was dead pissed off as it was about a £10 to cut it out and be done. Or a course of 6 or 8 trips for a freeze treatment at about £7 a session.
Luckily now, it’s simple to deal with them at home. At least one of my kids would pick on up a year so always got the schol freezvle stuff on hand.
Lol, he doesn’t think of your limited space. Lol. Start hoarding now, just so he has to sort it when your gone.
When I hit 60 I’m gonna stop throwing things out. If I hit 80 theyll be f-*ked Hehehe.
Lol, me neither. I logged into my account on the desktop page (omg yuk) for the first time in about 5 years, couldn’t see anything interesting. Had loads of requests and notifications, which i ignored as I closed it down.
No interest in the platform. But I just know if they launce a tv service, nob head hear will end up with jet anther football subscription.
Worst thing, for the consumer, that the monopolies commission ever did is make the Premier league open up bidding in the name for’ consumer fairness’ . Another new company called Channel 11 (iirc) just grabbed a load of rights sky and by had, luckily no English footy, but you know next year they will get some. Along with Amazon now in the game, bt and sky, all in all its never been more expensive to watch footy. Subs alone is about 40 to 50pm at least in the old days, you goudl just give sky 50£ and you was set.
Not that I lile sky one bit. But it’s a matter be careful what you wish for!
I had to google this, never heard of it, but I don’t do fb. Interesting give it 12 months and that too will need some for me of football subscription!
Did you ever get it to show up for you?
I used my Hudl 2 tablet as a stat nav a couple of years back traveling across Europe, before data was cheap.
So to save on the cost of a sim and data, just download ‘Here maps’, it is excellent, and doesn’t need data, you can dl the maps you need all free. Was Nokia here maps. Not sure who owns them now, but it’s a great product.
The 8” tablet made an excellent satnav.
I have here maps on my all my phones and use it as a fall back for two occasions 1.if I’m in a data black spot and have got lost and 2. Leaving sporting events or theme parks.
Ive noticed all googlevmap and Tom Tom users drive the same way, so that’s 95% of today’s moterists, I found out that Here maps offers different routse to the rest, so when you know 10k other cars will be going my way, I find Here maps routing come in very handy.
Though if you use Google or tom Tom, a good tip is to drive against your directions (and the conjestion) for long enough untill it stops telling you to turn around, and you’ll dypass the traffic. Never head towards to closes motorway junction, as everyone else’s Sat nav is also going that way. Alway quicker to head towards the next town even if it mean going away form home, and through a town.
I just hate sitting still, I’d rather spend the time in motion.
I did notice that when my lad finished uni, alot of his stuff made its way in to my house and mine vanished. Though I wasn’t moaning as he had a job in tk max and I hung he got some “discount” on all the good kitchen stuff. So we’re dected out with some great stuff.
But on the whole it took 6 months to get rid of the crap he came back with. He brought his whole uni bedroom back with him, so he had two beds, wardrobes etc… So it wad up to me to ditch the old stuff. I wouldn’t want them to strain a muscle.
There idea of ‘xzsort that out’ is dump it in the garden for dad to deal with.
Ali express is the consumer front of alibaba, which is more wholesale. It’s the biggest online shop there is.
I think ali express is about 5 years old, alibaba is old.
I did see on geek earlier arduino unos of a fiver. Clones of course. Not bought one for ages, but I think the last clone I got was a tenner of eBay.
I’d like to see a 24h la Mann style race of a Vernon vs say the new Ford focus RS.
Given all the stops the bugatti would need I bet it would be a close race. The Ford could probably do 200-250miles a tank on a track, and is no slouch. I bet the Vernon would be about 80miles. Then there is the longer refuelling times, given the tank is about 2.5times as big.
As a Lego techniq kid I love this. Also it looks better than the actual chiron, which I don’t much like. Though I never liked any of the million versions of the Vernon that much either.
While I’m moaning. The ‘I’m trying to be Clarkson’ voice over was terrible.
Car was ace, it should of ended with “it just keeps on going…… Pause…. Until the batteries run out”
One fact I love about the Vernon, and the chiron will be the same, it can do over 240mph but at full tilt only go for 15mins so a 60mile range out of its 160litre tank (give or take. The 264mph ‘The quick one lol’ drinks it in 12mins.
We have a tourtoise and when she is out,if guests are here, especially with kids, they are always amazed at how fast they can move. Tho on totally oppisite surfaces to the slugs. But the tt on glass, and she goes nowhere fast . Zero grip.
Wish is good for Tate, smaller inexpensive things, you’d like but don’t need today. Escially given it takes about 6 weeks delivery.
I’ve bought some metal drill bits, countereints, clamps etc, and many kids crap like huge bags of loom babds and squshums. All come as advertised ,give or take, but I wouldn’t spend and real money and never if in a rush. It’s more of a browse and grab things you’d like rather than want. especially given they under cut everywhere . You just need to wait.
Oh having 3 girls in the house, I hair bands by the sack full and hair brushes by the score from wish9. I’m sure my 9 year old is knocking them out in school yard!
Never heard of geek. But for electronic parts Ali Express is my go to place. It’s about on par with Amazon for prices and probably 3 days behind, but being bigger than Amazon, and based in China has all the random electronie lectronis one could desire. As well as the usual Amazon afair.
But again I wouldn’t spend big money, outside of Amazon. Given how easy their returns are.
I was in zarragoza a few week back and I wanted to get a shot of a builder 4 stories high, hanging over the rail of some scaffoldingh, holding on with one hand, no tethering, only one foot on the scaffod board, full stetch to reach where he needed.
This was on a multi million high rise. All I could think of is where is this EU H&S. I felt silly taking a pic so never did.
I recall mid 90s when with my dad on site,iIwas late high school years, and older men moaing about EU health and safety killing the job,as they couldn’t stand on a crate up scaffolding. I’m sure the Spanish then was 6 crates high on their scaffold back then.
