That is an issue Dave. The government is a mess, but the Labour Party is in the same state.
I don’t don’t know what we need, I just know its F-ing broken atm.
I still think Labour last time round should of run on ending brexit. They would of won, and could of put this to bed with a mandate 2 years ago.
I can’t see there being a leave Dave. I was agreeing that a second ref would sort this out.
It’s going to go to a second ref or a GE and we’ll get a final answer. Around 75%, if the original vote was happy with the status quo. So I can see a bigger turn out this time, as many thought there was little to no chance of a leave win. So about 50% of the voting pop stayed at home. If that 50% wasnt happy with the status quo, they surly would of turned out. So any form of vote to stop this, you’d have to suspect the turn out would be record high turn out.
I recon a fair few leave voters would of change their mind now, however there will be a fair few remain voters that will vote to still leave, because they will want to honour some form of democracy. But I’d lay may chops on that silent 50% making up the remain vote, and some.
Wear os, or rather the app store. As I had that face on my watch when I had the pixel.
I’d be happy with that too WoF.
Pm my favourite watch face is called marine commander. Nothing to do with the forces, it just looks classy.
End up a GE and one party will run on remaining, will win and then this will be all forgotten about.
A few years back my girl was having issues with an eye doctor. Basically the great and concerned 50 year old man left, and the next session his understudy/replacment had a totally different outlook, ie he wasn’t sure so hewill discharge her. I asked for a second opinion. Given his bosses earlier views.
Waited about 3 months, finally got an appointment for a second hospital miles away, Turned up same F-ing doctor and team. I didn’t keep calm that day. I lost my shit tbh. Totaly waist of mine, my daughters (taken out of school) and the NHSs resources.
Anyway, good luck next week bob. If there is a set back, don’t let it get to you too much I’ve found cancer is like a war, a number of small battles you need to get through, some you win some you lose, but all you can do is stay positive and keep matching along, one foot at a time, one day at a time.
I’m sure you’ll be with us a while yet. However if your Internet decides to break. Get in the old 3 or 4g even if it’s to say hi! You had a few of us (at least) a bit worried last month. (or the one before).
You’ll be fine.
Funny enough I noticed last week when my router died and I plugged in the TT hub tt was now using ipv6. When I sent my router up probably 2015/16 I remeber turning the function off within the router as I knew TT was yet to start rolling them out.
Makes no odds to me atm. But it did catch my eye.
All the major media players have sleep timers. I use Audibles or the podcast one every night. Set it for 30 min intervals. Usally 4 times a night at least!
Same here, loads of plastic boxes. I’d love a better set up. Congrats.
That’s a cool little device. I don’t want it, I didn’t even know they had these standalone type of hotspot device on sale. Or has it been pulled from a car that had it installed from new? I thought car hotspot tbh just converted your phones 4gh into a WiFi hotspot. Ie like a WiFi router and your phone is the data input to it.
I’d could of done with one of these for the last few years, for our euro trips, I get my new car next week, I think it has some form of hotspot, but I think it piggy backs off a phone. Hathern than a stand alone module.
Over thd last few years, I just turned wifi hotspot on on one of the phones to supply data to those with none in the car. This year, was the first year that all in the car had their own data.
Still a cool device.
November 12, 2018 at 4:05 pm in reply to: Paid my respects today in Wigan along with many others #28173marine for 4 years, I’m don’t do it, when I was a kid I loved watching the main service on TV, but since I’ve left I’ve left I’ve not been a service. You have to attend when in service.
Watch a shed load of minutes silence this weekend with the footy.
I don’t mind the minutes silence, what I don’t like is the ‘last post’ being played on a bugle. Its a super emotional for me. I’m not an emotional person. But that brings back a few bad memories.
That’s just my personal view, but I find it strange to ‘remember’ or ‘celebrate’ the life of the men, by reminding the people who knew some them men with the tune you last heard as you was dropping them in a hole.
I can remember all year, all the good things we done. I don’t care for the bad things. It’s abit like valarines day, if you need a special day to show the love for your wife, you don’t have the right wife.
Sort of regaled to the current topic, was at a friend’s over the weekend who has vergin media fiber, doing a speed tests over WiFi I’d get 108 down, 6up, 5ms ping, so all great on paper. It was awful to try an watch bt sport today. It just kept buffering, and rubber banding all the time, in the end I turned my 4g on.
I have no idea how it was so bad. There was on me on it too.
They rely on us to spy on them, and we now have them spy on our own. To not break each nations laws.
I’m lucky in my village being higher up, but walk down to the pub, 500m away (that’s the 3rd one too) and it’s a black spot, as is my Inlaws that are even lower down at the base of our hill. Though wifi calling has all but sorted the issue out. Even in the pub ?
My brother in law has a EE box in their home, I’m sure they had a vodka phone one years ago (like 6/7 years maybe) in there older home. But when they moved back home, they was in ee and got a box put in. Again I don’t they use it anymore, now wifi calling is a thing, and they have full coverage via home plugs. Old build, thick walls, stange layout. Home plugs I put in 4 years ago, and like mine, they just keep going. I don’t even need mine, (or didn’t till last week) but glad it was all left in place, as the talk talk router, isn’t great at all. Reminds me of all the providers WiFi we’ve had since wanadoo, won’t reach half the house. And that ain’t me bragging about having a large house. Old Welsh houses are small, but are solid. (and cold, and drafty, and sometimes leaky,……)
I’d say a good reason to stay with Google, is try and quit for a week. It’s a free service, or free to the pocket, and Google are upfront about what their business model is. You are product, but not you personally, not like the NHS.
No one moans when them Bounty packs turn up at your front door with your name on them. Well, except the ladies that have not yet let their secret out. Its not just bounty either, you older lot here, I’m sure get all kinds of medical/age related crap. Since my wife got it ill we get all kinds of crap mail. Given she had a large se ion of bowl out, and had a bag for about 2 years, it’s really pisses my wife off that 2 years on, she is still getting promos from bag companies every month, and Everton there is a “new advancement” in shitting in a bag, she gets promos for them.
And people moan about Google. Far greater things to get worked up about.
Same with people that moan about Russia or China spying, I’d much rather be spied on by anyone that isn’t my own gov, or an allie. Though ms apple and Google, will be doing that no doubt for our gov, as it’s not on, for the uk to spy on its own. So we ask our allies to do it, in return we spy back, and pass any info back and forth as needed.
However, if some wants to spend there time reading my BS rants, and boring life emails, texts and phone calls, go for it. But it will be a hell of a waste of there time resorses and tax payers money. So spy away, you’ll be asleep withing the hour. Or pulling your hair out at my grammer and spelling.
Actually ill probably be flagged as they’ll think I’m talking in code. Lol.
Just think I manout making immigrants eat and join in I’m local traditions. I’m all up for it, as eating a bowl of scouse and stealing an escort for a joy ride, is far better than making someone eat jellied eels and mash. Lol. ?
I’m not for traditions, or anything that I feel is enforced fun. It’s why weddings are always crap, and funeral always good. (after you get the dead body bit out of the way).
My hypocrisy is back, I hate tradition but love history? Hmm.. Doesn’t the former become thd latter at some point. Just don’t think to deeply about it. Lol.
Cheers, some good stuff.
I think the gods of the Internet keep close eyes on me, as evey time I even think of updating my Internet kit, somthing else likes to come up! Never mind Xmas is just over there —->
So I’m going to keep my eye on the standard TT set up, their box seems OK tbf apart from locking tne dns! But on the while while ugly and hard to navigate, it’s got more options than any other oem router I’ve seen. (though that’s been a good 10 years). I’m sure Ill be back on the case as soon as the weekend rolls round and I want to watch some sports. As I think it’s just live fast stuff that is its issue.
Also since my asus went down, all the smarts have fallen over! So I need a proper decision on a solution so I can sort all them back out.
Not had time to read this, I will later. But yesterday was looking for the thread we had with router and WiFi options. And my Asus router finally died.
Currently had the talk talk one in since tuesday. Both the footy games I’ve watched onBT sports (ligit) have been rubber banding and jumpy! Never happened on the asus router. So I’m gonna need options.
Dave I know you like to spit up modem form the router and your WiFi ap, but I’d prefer a simpler all in one vdsl2
l router with WiFi soloition. Given Xmas is almost here, cheaper the betterr. But good enough to stream at least 3 live streams of HD sport.
The TT hub couldn’t do one live football streme well. the speeds and pings look decent. 30ms 60meg and 18up.
Richard, I’ve seen a few tech channels strip down the sockets with usb sockets integrated, and alot, have not had good things to say about them. (I’ve Neot seen a positive review), most say terrible build quality, fire hazard. These was from proper ligit outlets, like screfix and B&Q, plus generics. Its kept me away form them.
Bob, last night had been a few weeks in the coming. We have been getting worse game by game. We are suffering losses in the midfield. And their replacements that come in on the summer, just aren’t up to speed. Fabinho looks 2 years to slow, and seems tattically unaware, (see arsenal) and kiata seems to of brought an lower back injury with him, which has slowed his integration.
US rejecting fikir is biting us on the arse now.
The backs mostly fine, as is the front, now our midfield that was brilliant last season, seems to be gone.
