We have stirfrys a few times a week. Id rather have the sachet of black been sauce. But if you can’t, a bit of soy and ginger like Dave says will be good.

Healthy and super easy and fast to make. If you can’t do rapeseed oil, the spay oils also work. But give the next to zero fat content in the meal, the oil is probably better to have than not have. Also it’s such a little amount, I doubt it matters either way.

A chilly infused oil is good, it doesn’t give a kick, more a hint of flavour.

If your guts ant in the best shape, I won’t add bean sprouts to your stir-fry. They can be “windy”, and they are one of the biggest caused of food pointing out there. You need to treat them with respect lol.

Pro tip, if you keep the kid living in the bath, and jet wash it down as needed, you won’t need nappies, and can keep the ipones. :good:

I could get a bus to work everyday, but a 6min drive turns into a 1hour trip (each way). This is the issue most rural (and mine is only just rural) places have. There is no real alternative to the car. I’d be classed as lucky as my village is on the main bus route to the town, but if I worked in another town or village ect.. I’d need multiple busses or trains. It’s just not happening.especally given public transport isn’t cheap. If there is two of you, it’s the same to get ataxi to town as it is a bus. So this also undermines PT.

Now where my pub is the majority of the people that live in the town centre  don’t drive, as they can mostly walk to work. The ones that dont work in the town centre drive.

Amazing, today we (in Wales) finally get our pub opening guidelines. And it explicitly states to NO wear or USE and extra PPE than your work would normally have. Like work boots, safely specs etc..

Today Westminster steps up it’s it’smask game with Bojo sporting one, and Scotland mandating then inside shops.

In Wales out gov says don’t uses them as it will take away from the medical sector. And now the hospitality guidelines points out not to wear any as it is not the answer.

I’ll give that msg a week before it changes.

One thing I did notice today was the lack of masks in North Wales. Went the pub this afternoon and didn’t see a single person around town, (and it was busy), in a mask. Not one. In Paris it was about 1 in 3, had a mask, usually slung under the chin. Cos they all smoke. In the Loire valley it was probably 1 in 6 had a mask slung under the chin.

It’s seems no one is taking it seriously anymore.

I agree with pm, it’s mostly user error. I’ve never had an issue on Android and been using it since version 1.1. the same with chrome os, though I don’t use it no more, my machine just wasn’t up to it in the end.

The one issue I have/had with chrome os is regarding you needing to use your Google master password. Today with fingure print login, this would negate this issue completely.

I always wanted to be able to set a password/code or something as in the end, cos you have to log in every time, I ended up changing my Google password so something far less secure.

I did buy one of the Google authentication keys, bit never got around to setting it up. Mainly as it looked to complicated and I didn’t want to lock myself out of my main account.

There is a shortage of beer, we was all informed three weeks ago, saying its first come, first served, so get your order in. As then we (the Welsh) had no idea when we could open, and barrels having short shelf life, we knew England was gonna hoover up the majority.

I could open on Monday, but I’m not gonna bother. I’m gonna wait it out for full opening, or maybe just see how it goes and open in s week or two.

I’m not sure really. I can open with a days notice, we have a local service which will deliver on the slday if ordered before 12pm, were all ready,l bar  good tidy up of the bar floor, as atm it has my whole cellar stored on its floor. As we done work back there, the week before I went away.

Also we had no idea we would get the nod for the 13th  beforeI went away, so thought I’d sort it out when home. I get home on the 10th.

I’ll worry about all that when home. Can’t do anything from here.

You can stop hating me now. I’m out of Paris, and in a very rural place in the Loire region, and back on 4g.

However given there is about 6 houses in a ten min drive radius, still getting over 20/8meg on 4g.

I got a iPad pro this year, and the magic keyboard. It’s a very keyboard indeed. It’s not for behind the old ThinkPads. Slot nicer than the last gen apple laptop, my lad has. I think they went back to the older switches.

Given such a thin base I thought I wouldn’t like it, and return it day one. It supposed me. Between 5hstvand my one plus 7 pro, I’ve only had to reach for a laptop once. And that was to view a council website that wanted ie.

The iPad (any new one) a pen, and the magic keyboard (or the think pad one I guess), make for a good alternative laptop.

Though not a cheep experiment to run.

We moved Lanzarote from may to sept, I’m not sure what is gonna happen with that.

Bit I can report, Paris is fully open, lots of people here, but less than I’ve seen in the past, bit still lots of people, next to no social distancing, and masks are optional.

Only place we have had to wear them is in mcadinalds, (but we passed a different one today and they wasn’t making people wear one, the other place was the Eiffel tower, when in the lifts.

All the cafes, puns etc.. have zero distances between tables and in stores no one way systems or any type of social distancing going on. It’s like it like covid never happend.

Most of the north north coast is on the rise. My area Denbighshire is the hardest hit.

We got it after the rest, but it’s still here, and not getting any better as of yet.

I’ve not had issue, as far as I can recall, with Argos. But with Amazon, all I need to do is print off a label and it’s collected.

I get my money’s worth, I use it almost daily. I’m probably classed problem customer as I abuse Thier system.

This is why I happily pay for Amazon Prime. You only every see the true side of a business once you have an issue.

Don’t they realise the true cost of bad customer service. Now if they got back you you day one, and had it sorted that day, I’d imagine you’d happily take the replacement item, use them again  (or at least have them on your list), and recomend them to others.

Now they have zero chance of a resale or a recondition.

People like to turn their nose up to Amazon, but from a customer stand point, they are one of the best out there.

Bit of a strange feeling, muted celebrations cos of the times. Also winning it so early, took away any run in nerves. Last year was horrible Every week having to win, and being matched by city at every turn.

Everyone knew it was over this year by Jan,  we wouldnt say it out load, bit all the oppositions would say it, so it was just a matter of when, not if this year. Such a very UN Liverpool way of doing things.

But yes it is nice. Nice to celebrate it properly. I was 10 the last time around. So was only allowed 4 pints back them.

Given the protests, beach outing and the dust up in Wales, (which is a sight to see). If we don’t get a peek in months time, I’d hazard a guess there wont be a second spike.

Saying that it will just be out luck there will be a spike and the Welsh pubs will never bloody open.

We are looking at probably the 3rd of August opening (my guess on what the FM hinted at last Friday). This is 5 weeks from now, so ideal time to be just to late to open before a nother peak is due!

I do lee. But an extra sheep is not needed round my parts. All one needs is extra large wellies.

One of my favourite Welsh replies to the English sheep banters is, “we f#+k up, and then you eat them”. 🐑🤢
