I’m going off the auto upload option tbh. As I like to organise my pictures into albums in the goope photos app, usally the day I take them.
Ive just looked in the ES file manger I’ve used for year, and there is an option to upload to an S3 bucket.
So I can arrange my album in gphotos, then down that set of pics (album) as a zip, remane it 2018-Dec-Xmas (for example) then drop the zip file into the S3 bucket folder with ES explorer.
I just read I need to change the S3 bucket to from S3 to 1 day inactivity to switch to Glacier, and the price will be next to nothing.
Does that sound about right? Or Atleast like it would work?
From a pc I could use filzilla to do upload it seems too.

Like alot, lots of options, I just didn’t recognise the words on any of them lol. There is many video tutorial.

Whatever I do, I think I’ll just leave the flikr pics in place. And download a zip file off Google photos, and upload that to water new service (if possible), then find an automated way to upload from Google to wherever. Probably using a 3rd party inbetween.
Im Sure there must be a way, to set up and forget.
My house doesn’t have foundations, built on compacted pot-ash, and a 4 wide brick foundation that goes up like a pyrimid (so 3 courses, untill it breaks ground level then at the rear of the house 2 normal double course (no cavity) then a slate damp course. The front is probably foot high to the damp corse level. Due to the topography.
So the rear half of the house has a quarry tiled floor just on pot Ash, under the wooden floor I laid. The front half has wooden beams and floor boards. With a celer that goes form nothing to 9 foot in the space of 20 feet. I once put my head in 12 years ago.
This was normal procedure back in the day. Though in my houses case the pot ash foundation is staght onto the mountain rock. Most are potash on clay.
Ive offen though cos my house is the end house, and has a good 9 foot to the side path, then another 9 or so more down to the next bungalow underneath . One day it will just slide off and squash the bungalow.

JCD even harder now on new builds, as alto for the cupboard floor bards are interlocking and 2″x8″ so half the time when you need access, you’ll cut a square out, with a circular saw (raise the blade to 18mm first mm ) , then have to bridge it with two battons to put the cutout back baxk flush.
Eventually the patch will squeek, so some good flexible glue on the Batton is a must, before you screw it all down.
The paid service seems a bit rich for me, give ti’s my back up to my back up.
@Ricedg, @drezha Given its a dump of my files I never vist, would Amazon glazure do this for pennies? Have sub 10gb of photos, and the trickle up is probably a few Mb a week? Tiny amounts. In the summer maybe 500mb if I’ve been on my hols.If so, could I set up an ifttt script to auto send new Google photos to amazon? I can research thst if you don’t know.

The only reason we haven followed suit on Thechauwei hate train, is that almost our whole back bone is hauwei hardware, AND they are the only company in The world that can do 5g from top to bottom. (infrastructure, hardware to end user tech) Qualcom can’t compete with Hauwei, and no one will for about 5 years or more, by then they’ll be 5 or more years down the road too. The Americans (and Rest of world) is half a decade behind hauwei on this. 5g is seen to be the future of everything from space, science, etc.. Not just a fast way to watch Netflix.
The chines have a full deck of cards, never mind a full hand. America is trying to cut off there funding. But I can’t see it working as if it is so important, the chines gov, and allie gov, will just fund it. I’m sure they already are.
I’ve been in my house sing 2005, It wad biupt in 1913, and we have replasterd most rooms that needed it except the hall stars and landing, that’s just been painted and carpeted over the years.
Next door have at some point pre 2005 replaces their shot hall stairs and landing plaster which backs on to our stirs, so any plaster of our that was clinging on, was finished off when they took theirs off.so only The wall paper holds the plaster to the walls.
Like my my team, next year will be the year I tackle hat job. Thr issue is, you csn isolate a room fro the rest of the house when remevating, but not with the HSL. So each year it gets pushed down the list of jobs.

In regards to google photos, and it’s free storage. I mostly can see a difference however for the sake of future frothing anything over the threshold (12 or 15mpx) I upload in full res.
Only because the day Liverpool bright on the euro Cup in 2005, the pictures I took that day on a crappy phone was awful then and now basically binable!
So now i take pics in the best res And film in the highest quality. Which my dslr is 24mpx, my phone 40mpx(and 10 depending on what I’m doing) and film in 4k. Only so it all looks decent in 2050.
And just pay Google about £3 a month to story it and flikr nothing. I wonder where it went wrong for flikr…

We are lucky our hospital is 14mins away from our front door. She was ment to have chemo but cos of NY break, they was trying to give it her bay after day to catch up, but she really didn’t feel upto it anyhow, so she was relieved. We are still in tomorrow anyway.
They only time we have to travel “far” is Manchester, but that isnt often, and we do a monthly run to Wrexham to see her consultant (which works at our local hospital!), but that’s hardly far at 30mins away.
It’s about 45miles, but we dont have mental trafic and it’s just two dual carafes away. So easy going.
Bob, that hip should still be under warranty, you want to take it back ? if you don’t laugh you’ll cry. So Ill joke about everything.
Good luck with the wife today. Our appointment was cancelled an hour before for staff shortages. A bit of annoyance given the appointment was at 12.30 so it ruined the whole day. Though the wife didn’t mind, as she is under the weather, and the treatment over Xmas hasn’t been doing her any favours.
This wasn’t the first cancellation/last min time change over this winter break. I don’t blame them, as atm it seems the whole of our are has some form of flu/stomach bug at keeps circulating. Nurses aren’t ammune to such bugs. And they can’t go on cancer wards if even a little unwell. a
So onwards and hopefully upwards, into The new year.

It’s called being young and stupid pm.
My best was The night we passed out of training, me and my section (7 others), got wind of a brothel near by. So we went along and the girls there was having non of it, so we decided to assault the palce,and figure out whey they wouldn’t let us in
It turned out it was nurse lodging. And the girls wasn’t happy. The police was called and 8 pissed marines all darted in evey direction. Being about 4am, after a long celabeation, non of us got far.
To be fair to the police, the just dropped us of at camp. They didn’t even report us to the guard house.
I do have a more stupid and more embarrassing one, and even more lucky, due to the police officer in charge that day (morning) was an ex booty, working in Warrington cells. He gave 17 year lid me the dressing down of my life, and sent me on my way, with a lot to think about.
As I said, young and stupid. I don’t think men turn to adults until atleset 30, and never trully nature. If it wasn’t for women keeping us in check, we’d all be bonkers.

Most women where mothers, or dinner ladies, and the men did hands on work.When it comes to shoes, trainers and walking boots, I have enough pairs to last me a lifetime.
I did just by a pair of sketchers, as I broke my toe in November, all my footware didn’t work with my bad toe. Finally the sketchers didn’t seem to re break it evey tien I had to go out. Its feeling OK atm. Though I had a set back pefire Xmas, as I thought it was far better than it was and took the kids and dogs to delemere forest. Ten mins with my boots on, I knew something was wrong. 3 hours later, I was paying for it.
The deep frezze spray I forums was the only thing that stopped it hurting. Though I was using about a ¼ of a bottle a day. Instead of the 4 sprays a day it says.
I do think now sketchers have male looking trainers, they will be my go to in the future. I’ve had this pair on almost every day frovabout 50 days now, probably a years worth of wearing for me, and they still look like new, super light, and comfy.
This is about the only 2 weeks of trh year that time seems to drag. The rest of it seems to pass me by.
Life seems to be an endless list of goals, everytime you reach one (or fail), the next one starts. Life just carrys on around them.

Peoples names is where my mind fails me, everytime. I was always good with street names until I moved to Wales! Been in my current house 13 years, and still only know a handful of the street names around me!
For some reason they are all in some strange language. Love Wales really.
Good to here she is OK. How long has it been now? I’m terrible with time?
