My FiL got on the pv train while the incentive rate was good. Its paid off for him, basically giving him free electric when average out over 12 months. It must be 12 years old now, so his investment is returned, and now he is 65 and got free electricity.as the rebate is locked in.

Now it would take a lot longer to return on such an investment. Add in repairs come aroumd 15 years, and you may never turn a profit. Make pulling trh trigger on 10k upfront a much harder decision..

There is noting good going form this mess, wrhter we leave or not now. We are a joke. If we are not already, the UK will become a meem.

The one positive out of this mess, is it has highlights what a sh=tshow parliament is. And changes are needed. The contry is pissed, and anger is growing by the day.

          Be fair. Lead by unicorns.

Even from the other side of the fence. I agree it’s a mess. And come may in the next election, The far right extremists could become a serious issue.

My last attempt Richard was 2016/17ish. I know what I need to do, I do do  core and back excersises daily (or as close to), the issue with the physio is when at the ozzy they insist on bending and twisting me in ways I know throws my back out, and they have. When my back goes, the only way to ‘bring it back’ is to lie flat for days.

For years people say that’s the worst thing for a thrown back, but at 20 years living with it. I just agree, and do what I know works for me. When it goes, evey movement its like an electric shock that take my legs form under me.

Luckally I know know how to manage my back, years of trial and error, and it doesn’t go that often. It’s sore every day, I manage that, but what I can’t do is the physio they insist on.

I should go the docs Richard your correct. But I hate my doctors. And I spend half my life at surgeries and hospitals as it is. I just couldn’t be arsed doing it for myself. There isn’t enough hours in a day, between hospitals, work and kids.

One day I’ll go. One day. They keep asking me to come in for a medication review, but Ive been ignoring it now for about 4 years. One day they will insist on it. That’s the day I’ll inquire about new tests etc..

Richard, I got the same reponce about my back in 2000/1, went back every year till arond 2010, scans, deteriation, etc.. Still the same answer, noting we can do for 4 disks. (L2-5). So I just never went back the following year.

In hindsight a stupid mistake, as almost ten years on, I have to jump through hoops to get back in there. And my back is worse year in year out, so the yearly scan results would of been nice.

If I want to get back to regular back visits to gabowyn (think that’s how it’s spelt), I need to jump through hoops, and one is physio. I can’t do the physio as it puts me out of action completely. And untill I complete the physio, they won’t refer me back to the back hospital. But I can’t do the physio, as I have a life to pay for, which I can’t do if I’m being tortured and in bed for 6 weeks!

I’m sure it’s turning arthritic down there too. ? Keep popping pills and carrying on… My kidneys will give out first I reckon.

I’ve decided, I only like queen, and Pink Floyd, and oasis. Also a bit of Eminem, im not a big music lover, never have been. But today’s music, is terrible.

I do try periodically. Il lbund today’s hits on Google music or Spotify, but I just can’t do it. Always go back to Queen if on a long journey with people (if alone I’ll put a book on) , and Queen everyone seems to like. Form 6 year olds to 70 year olds. You can’t really go wrong with them.

Songs today tell one story, if any. And that’s some soppy love lost. Rince and repeat, and they over do dass, which sounds great on my car system. But it’s just not needed.

I’d rather have talks sport on, bar today when it’s just horse talk. Zzz! (for me at least).

I’m more of a book, or a football podcast person when driving. The radio comes on when others get in. Or driving home from the footy (when we win, or united lose ?)

Though now we have a house firll of Google speakers, there is a lot more music in the hose than ever before. The home minis arnt great music speakers, (the hub is ok), but you can link a home mini to a better by speaker in a master slave (or stereo format) and get a very cheap, very good smart speaker with out spending 400 on the posh Google or apple speakers.

The amazon dot goes one better having an aux port. Turning most old hi fis into smart hi fis. We don’t use ecjos (we have one dot), but lent towards Google’s. Also we never have ownd a hifi before, if we did, I’d of connected the dot to it.

The honour brand is huawei budget line, so even the top honour of the day, is only really mid range. But their prices are great, for the kit.

Though I’m amazed The camera app is bad, as if it shares the same one as huawei pjones, it’s bloody brilliant. It’s the main reason I got Thr P20p, as I loved the app on the wife’s P9. It’s simple, but one click give you ALL the control one would ever want.

Though I do like the bone sock nexus/pixel camera. It has no bells or whistles at all, but always produces, Especally in bad light. I’ve not used it since my Pixel, but it can now be sideloaded on to alot of phones, and you get Thr power of the Google algorithm, which is one of The best.

I haven’t put it on my P20p as The pixel photo app only uses 1 or 2 lenses, (whatever Thr pixel 3 has), so it would potentially downgrade The P20p, probably taking away the 10x optical zoom. And given Thr P20p has even better low light than the pixel 1 and 2 (not 3), I don’t think I’d see any benifit. Especially as sidloading ports, usally ad a few quirks to The mix.

I agree, it will be a mess. But that’s my prediction. It may be a good thing as it may be the catalist to reform politics as thd UK know it.

All of leavers will be pissed, and a fair few remainders won’t be happy. They will be happy as they got their way, but even to me (a remainder) it doesn’t taste right.

The vote was never binding/ratified, but all the parties said they would honour the outcome, and then again on the election. So yes we should leave. However I’m still glad we arnt (possably).

Ive never said I’m not a hypocrite. We all are, just some don’t realise it. This is one of them points where I’m torn on the outcome. Both happy and sad.

Ive only just got in, I have no idea what has gone on today. Will have a look in a bit.

They will vote agsist no deal. And The EU won’t extend A50 without a valid reason or path. That also should end this mess.

My wife’s hasn’t managed to break hers in 4 years. So that’s is more than a pass form me.

WWe have a vax (old school), as my wife Dan go though a couple of vacume a year. If it’s ele reonic she’ll break it, so we ended up on the vax train, as its modular in design, and all the parts are cheap and easy to get hold of. Our must be ten years old or more now. It’s not quite triggers broom, but getting there.

I see she sldidnt even manage to buy at full price. I think dfs will soon be evicting her.

Her deal was crap, this was inevitable. And now we have two years waited, we are no nearer any goals. And some fool at the end declared war on Europe.

Just another day in the life of Westminster cluser-f-+ks.

While the whole world watches on open mouthed wording WFT has happend to the uk.

This knife crime rising, rioting brewing, heated emotions rolling on to the football pitch. Don’t you think out leaders would choose words a bit more widely. Stood in the  Chambers, live on the TV, spouting War with the EU. Idiot. F-ing idiot.

This country is a tinder pot atm. We are know as a nation that moans but does little. It’s not going to take much to ignigjt this inner rage. we have decades of holding it in, stiff upper lip  nonsense it  could explode.

Every side feels like they are being shafted, it won’t take much. I suspect there is far more people living hand to mouth, getting poorer by the year, that would go and fight the system if they knew enough would back them

Does anyone feel better off than they did 10 years ago? I don’t, and I make a half decent living. I look at kids today leaving school, there is no jobs for them, no road maps, no place in society.

@BL I just looked up the wife’s camera, the sony DSCHX60, cost me £159 in 2015. Its small about 20mp and 30x optical zoom  And it has nfc transfer, so you can tap it againt your phone and and it auto transfers them  Over.

So for its time a great camera for the money. She doesn’t do video, but it’s probably only 1080p max. But that was never a concern.

It has an app store too, I bought the time lapse app, just to stest it out in a drive, and it worked well.bit never use it in anger. A great phone that fits in a pocket. I bet the newest is fantastic. As Sony is well ahead of thd pack in the camera world. Even beating cannon and nikon in the big boy space.

If I was after a point and shoot, I’d be looking at a 2017 Sony model, will be cheap and still amazing. The wife’s is great too. But as phones now do the majority, camera are being squeed out. The optical zoom on my P20p is decent. Give it 3 years, and it will be amazing.

The major plus for smart phone cameras is they are ideot proof, and you need zero knowalge. Open app, tap on subject (no matter the lighting now) and it will work it out for you, in 100th of a second.

It’s hard to get a blary photo out of any top end devive from the last 4 years. I bet the middle of the road cameras are amazing now. As I know the lowly moto g6 my girl has is more than adequate. Ant thats£130

(just had to buy a second one yesterday, as I broke my 7 year olds  On Sunday. On the plus side it could of been mine I broke. And 130 wouldn’t of replaced that! Still gutted, and the girl wasn’t pleased.

So I now own a G6 paly of my own with a cracked screen. May set it up as a camera, somewhere. Or see if I can bond a screen protected to it.

I love my Dslr but evet since I forgot its charger on the way to Spain (been back twice since) , and I realised how good the the Nexus 6p was, its rare it come out the draw. Weddings etc

Currently on the P20pro, and it’s night shots are just stupidly good.

The other year I was touring real Madrid ground, and the lighting inside their tour is terrible so I found it much easier using the 6p. I saved the dslr for that day. Gave up and just used it in good light.

Still for a wedding a dxlr is the best. Though my with has a small Sony cam (can’t recall it’s name) that is very good, with a good optical zoom in a very small package. Though she rarely gets that out these days.

They have no choice but to door knock here, cos the carpark is taken over, we had the letter of the oimcil to say they needed it, and fair enough. However we have to park somewhere, and it’s a narrow road leading up to it, so everyone parks there. There is just enough space for a salloon car to get through. So we all.have our places, the couple with the 4×4 get the widest space, and so on up to the lad with the 205gti (it’s tiny so he gets the narrower bit. When I swapped from the GTC (wide) to the leon narrower, me and another neighbour swapped places.

It’s makes sense for the 9 out of 11 houses, to all be on the same page, as it means we all have better access. The trouble is, you can’t fit a transit down the space. My neighbour with a tranny tipper parks a 5 min walk away since the building began. As he can’t park without denying evey one else access for example. So evey time the builders get a delivery, there is alway at least 3 cars still there. So they have to door nock.

We have Steve (easy for me to remember) his job is mine pls my two neighbours. I will admit to the odd ovation of being in the shower / toilet, where Ive given him the keys. Obviously shouldnt but I don’t like holding them up. They don’t want to be a pita, it’s just their job, and the situation is what it is. Some of my neighbours are shitty with them, I couldn’t be bothered being annoyed for over a year. I just leave 15 mins earlier than I need to if I have a dead line.

As to handing them the keys, probably happend 5 times in 18 months of daily knocks. (working from home will do that), I know I should and know its not correct. Also I know at least my two closest neighbours have also given their keys over to on occasion, for similar reasons. A couple at the top of busy won’t make an effort to be quick or give the keys.

Which to me is counter productive. As it will make the 12month job (cough) longer, and two if your less limey to be flexible, they are more likely to squeeze past your motor. I don’t want anyone squeezing past mine. So I’ll either run out in trackies and a fleace and slippers, or if needed give the keys. Just so they know I’m not holding them up, and they don’t need to take any risks near my car. As if it gets scratched, know one is going to of seen it. They are all friends after all. So there is no point trying to work agsist them, you will eventually lose. As they ain’t our friends. As much as they are upsetting our lives, we are upsetting there work. So we just both need to compromise and smile.

If they know your not an issue, they are less likely to scratch my car. (that’s my theory and in sticking with it.touch wood)

It’s all wrapping up now, they should be gone around Easter ?
