Yes Ed that was my point. Of you can get near true black and true white, and all the shades in between, you can dark shots with so much more detail. This is what I line about the 4k hdr footage. The wow voberaint animal shots are great, but they was great for demoing HD also. I have the Attenborough blue world (or whatever it is called on dvd and blue Ray, and if I had an hdr TV I’d probably get that too, as its a good way to show great content. However, the true greyness of more colours /shades, is non the dark screens.thatvos where you’ll appreciate it. But it doesn’t make great demo stuff.

The 4k hdr plus log fire demo, that too was once a HD demo back in the day. You had The fire burning channel and the discovery channel.

Sport is good in 4k too, I don’t know if hdr would enhance it though.

I don’t know, Id doesn’t have to be vibrant. All thd early demos are to show of the tvs. I’ve seen doom nice nature stuff. The same a BR nature is always a good way to show it off.

Either tropical fish, or bright desert shots. Ones that are naterally more vibrant.

Though in reality, and the long term, I’m more interested in the darks, making dark sceens more dark, but also being able to see details, liek in real life. I think that is where 4k HDR plus will shine.

Given the choice on other America made the correct one. He was a far better choice than her.

                      That doesn’t say much like.

Let’s just hope whatever happens with the brexit mess, this will start the seeds of a march to a political revolution in this land. One thing brexit has done, is bring everyone together in one way. We now all hate the system.

Even as a remainer, and their govs tactics is looking more and more likely to deliver what I want, I don’t like the way they are doing it. It’s underhand and anti diplomatic.

So even if they keep us in the EU, ill be happy but also pissed. As I know today I’m on the winning side, but tomorrow you never know. At the moment there is no accountability for there actions. They know they can do what they want, and they just shuffle the chairs and carry on. It’s not correct. This should and needs to end.

If a promise is made, they should have to prove they done everthigj in their power to try to achieve said goal and offer up reasons why they didn’t deliver. Or face the chop.

Also we need a system that has long term goals Teh 4/5 years cycle just breeds can kicking and shorterism.

I don’t know what this system would be, as we need a system that can axe people at will, but also cultivate long term planning. The two don’t really mix.

No John, he is an English lad, an old mate form back home. He is as blind as a bat, so I don’t think he’d notice the difference tbh. But he does moan (alot) that all his Netflix content has black bars. I tried explaining aspect ration to him one night when we was a tad drunk, he is very not techy, so I shouldn’t of tried when drunk, I traid to explain scaling to Fort his screen, and he was so angry thst his wide screen wasn’t wide screen and Netflix was ripping him off.

I logged into my account on his TV, and it filled his wide screen, which just made him more pissed off, as he seen it as NF just crippleing his TV unless he paid another £2per month.

The guy earns about 3k a week! But won’t send An extra 2 to fill his tv.

It’s strange how some people are, as he isn’t tight, she spoils my kids, far to much, and noting is ever an issue, but any thing tech oriented, he just won’t spend anything on it. He doesn’t like what he doesn’t understand, and had no interest in learning it. He just gets mad at it.

I simply don’t care that much. As I look at our fine governing establishment and think, the EU could hardly do any worse.

Now maybe if our system worked I may think different. But the older I get,the more is see borders as a man made construct to hold power over them inside. I don’t really like how UK is being managed, so I’d happily hand the keys over.

I don’t understand why anyone is even bothered about a united Europe. It would hardly change anyone’s  daily lives.

                            Unlike leaving the block will.

For me leaving is a massive step backwards, in what the future ultimately will need. The next 50 years will need nation to work together more than ever before. If we all start dividing up, the outcome is bleak.

We need to be looking outwards, not inwards.

Lol. Sounds like blu Ray all over again..

Video content wise, YouTube has some good 4k hdr stuff. And if your on the Netflix pagage that isn’t the basic one user sd pack that has some hdr stuff to

I have a mate with a 50” 4k hdr that refuses to pas Teh extra 2 or 3 quid a month to Netflix and watches all his content in 480p. It looks like dog crap. But he is happy. Artifacts as big as my thumb, and the colour blending hurts to see. Tight git he is.

I very much doubt they could get an engine into the car park, but guess The hoses would reach the building from around the hairpin corner.

It’s a mini white elephant tbh, an old goods shed on a long dead line, that is now a great track. Iirc they raised 2m form private and council money, and the lotto matched it. The building is listed, and was almost beyond repair, but ad it was listed this derslict shed, had to have “listed building” money spent on it.

It’s going to be a walkers rest place, come local museem, with one shop space. The shop should do OK big car park, and alot of dog walkers park there. But the rest if Thr project, I’ll give one year till it folds.

I would of protested, as its on my door step and a a waste of money. However I’m part of The village council  and they lead it, an my FiL is the secutery.so I just went along with it thinking it would never get off the ground. That was about 6 years ago!

Yes Chris, that’s right. I just don’t know how (or properly who) got it all signed off.

On the plus side, a dog groomers is opening up in the single business plot, within the building. And both my dogs go to one ever 6 to 8 weeks. So if its close to the £25 a dog, the current one charges, saves me driving the dogs for a hair cut. It’s a pain as it’s a one way double yellow road.

And I moan at a tenner a pop for my own balding head, about evey 12 weeks.

In regards to the farmers and the EU subs, I think they have had it to good for too long. The whole subsidiary should of been on a sliding scale to help them with any transition. 40 years is long enough. I can imagine we now have 3rd gen farmers, picking cheques up for the most minamal effort.

I bet there is a large percentage of them, that have no idea how to farm properly and economically. That’s a sweeping statment, but I bet there is some truth it. Why would I invest time, effort and money learning new skills that I thought I’d never need.

I half expect if we do drop out, they couldn’t produce half of what would be expected of them. They would all be knocking on the pms door for massive grants to modernise. Farming equipment isn’t cheap. Million qiud harvesters etc..

A bit of a rant, sorry.
