He did do well by the uk, and it’s a good job (for him) he did, as he wouldn’t of been remembered fondly at all otherwise.

I’m amaxed the old skoda lost it to The old defender. The old skoda was biuld out of angle iron .

Also the defender I love, but have zero fornd memories over.teice I almost drowns in the rear of a 90, surrounded by rat packs and ammo! They was very unpredictable. Thoug I’d love oen today. Well apart form the clutch! Oh and shoulder room! And probably reliability, also trh rust. OK they are cool, but crap lol.

Why do you even loom in the pam box bob.it shows its working how it should, given that’s where they end up. Yi ucjojdl see my jotmaill addy, at best 50% end up in the spam box. Which is usp for about 5% in 2006 when gmail launched. Its very rear I see any spam in my Gmail inbox.

Usally about every 3 months I’ll get 3 hours worth make it to my inbox, until Google treak their algorithm to change that. Gmail is pronaly the best there is. Not even best or free, just best.

Given I have a beard like a viking and am as wide as  tall, English usually works OK To stop most wanting to carry on an argument.

Though I find that if you have an older car  people just back down as they know it will cost you less. Now I have a new car, people will chance it more.

Whem I had a ten year Old cscrapper with dents, people would part the red sea for me.

I suppose its the same principle why in an busy car park I’ll park next to a rangerover over an A reg fiesta. The internal snob in me says they wont want to dent their door on my car.

I have a tp liknk jobbie. The RV9000 mk3. Bought on a whim wjm my asus died on boxing day. Seems OK. Offeres better performance of the ASUS (which I loved) , with a few a few more features. and was about the same price I paid for it 6 years ago. £120.

I keep it up to date so I don’t worry much about it. Though it uses a bit more power. But I was desperate and that’s what curry’s had on boxing day. The newer Asus was £80 more. On boxing day I couldn’t justify (afford) the extra 80. Apps it’s a FTTC jobbie so I could dispence of the white by box. So power savings probably even itself out.

I bet he only doesn’t allow music so he doesn’t have to pay for The public broadcasting licence.

I’m all for a pub that’s queitveniug to have actual chats. But his rules seem awfully restricting. However he has a lot in his chains so he must be doing something right.

But vfm is correct, on a wet day, it’s tradesmen that fill your bar from lunch to clocking off time, and everyone uses a phone for work.

I don’t like the larger weather spoons premises, as to me the all sound like swimming pools. With no back croumd music, if busy it’s a terrible racket to my ear.

I always had estates in the past. The coupe was the outlier. As fun as the old one was, I knew as I was ordering it I’d miss the space.

The new car is actually quicker than the old one, but doesn’t handle as well, it won’t carry the speeds ariudm the corners as well.

However it’s a good blend of practical and not dull. Though it likes to drink! And the fuel tank is small at 45 litres. I do miss the 75l tank of my old laguna, plus the 55mpg that averaged every month. Now I struggle to hit 30mpg and have a small tank. Filling it up twice a week!

It will eek out 50mpg on the motorway if I stick to 70. And if I blast down the lanes I can hit low single figures lol.

Basically it’s a poor man’s audi RS6, which I’d love, but don’t have 70k to drop on a car. And don’t think I would even if I did. Also being a high end german, it would end up being closer to 100k by the time I optioned it out, just to have a similar set of toys to the 27k Leon. The car world makes no sense.

The colour is very nice, though I wowed after my last car to not get a dark matalic car again. last one was emerold green, black come green, lots of matalic flake, that changed given the light. Beautiful, but terrible to keep clean.

So I ordered the Leon in Red. About 3 weeks later I seen my spec car in the bohemian purple, as you can see, it’s black come purple, loads of matalic flake, and changes colour depending on the light. I called them and had it changed.

It suffered the exact same dirt issue the old car did. Looks stunning for 48h after a wash then looks awful.

The pick above was just after a clean and polish. About 3 weeks ago. As the pub has eaten all my spare time it’s not been cleaned since, and oh boy does it show dirt. It’s mingling at the moment.

My old laguna was a burgsndy matalic colour. I had that 7 years mudt of washed it 3 times. It just didnt show dirt, same with my blue rover before it, and my white car before that. The rest was business rentals so never bothered with them.

I should of gone with the red or even gray. I was going to get the Octavia Vrs estste (same car as the leon RF) in matt grey, but skoda ruined the front with their face lift last year. I hear they are changing it again this year, as no one likes it, and it’s sales have suffered massively. I want a matt grey one with the black alloys.

Maybe nextime round if they fix the mess they made of the front lights. The spit the headlights in the same way merc did with the e class (iirc) in the mid 2000s. That was a flop too, which was rectified in about 2 years.

Though I’m glade I went with the Leon as imo it has the best front and rear led light design on the market atm. The entry level lean doesn’t, but anything above that they are very nice and aggressive.

Never heard of that chain. Non near me. Seems like a lot of rules to follow.

Thr banking of Thr mobile seems a strange one, as from what I’ve seen, people go outside to make calls anyway, do to background noise, of chatter and music.

Ive forums I’m the one that is on the phome the most. Business related mind.

Two of my bar maids actually have canybar phones, and my bar man doesn’t own a phone, Which is a pita to be honest. So I told him he has to get one going forward, as he heeds to be contactable given he is my main bar person with the most hours. My pub seems to be stuck in 1997, or the staff are.

Tho the daytime customers all have smartphones for  their GG betting.

I just delined mine. Luckily because I ordered an 18 model, but they could only supply a 19 model, I could refuse the fancy led dial display (I don’t like yet, it doesn’t go dim enough for night driving) and I declined the keyless go. But future buyers of my model have to accept both.

So I got the more powerful and “efficant” engine, but got to dismiss the bit I dodint want. Now if I was buying I’d of took the posher display as that will command a higher price come sale. But as I’m leasing I just wanted what I wanted.

Keyless go doesn’t float my boat, so I declined it. Even though it was free. Now if I ordered 2 months later I’d of had to accept it, as it’s standers. As is the ‘posh’ display.

It looks amazing, but Ive drove a few at night, and it tires your eyes quickly. Not  Something I want given I drive around Europe each summer. 4.5k round trips.

I reckon I’ll have an issue if my staff are playing doom on my till ?

Ive solved the issue. I took out BT biz BB and that comes with 4g fall back sim.

It wouldnt keep my cameras going (I doubt), but would keep till card payments going.

Price was OK almost the same as what I pay at home. For basically the same speed package. They guarantee 71/17 for my line, so should be ample, in both directions.

Mine has the active break assist. It’s very good most of the time. Thou mine hates my chemist’s parking spot. Because they are relativly steep, coming off a flat road, evey time I try to revers off the parking spot, the thing thinks I’m a about to hit somthing. And oh may does it stop you abruptly. Its like hitting a wall.

After 4 months of ownership I now know to creap out of the spot and I know its going to slam on. Just now it slams on from 1mph instead of about 7. So it’s a gental stop, then you give it a bit more throttle to disengage it.

The first time it happens I thought I hit somthing. I think it locked the clutch up as well as the breaks, as there was a very ‘cluchy’ smell, and a good bang of noise. I must admit to almost soiling myself.

John, alot  of your list is mandatory kit, and the majority of the rest is standard kit on most cars that arnt BMW or merc. They love to option the crap out of customers. It’s why I was going with seat or skoda, as they give you the kit with there mid tier line. Pug is the same, also with pug now there interiors are beautiful too, class leading and put the more expensive brands to shame. I didn’t go pug as I didn’t like their engine offerings, but spec for spec their gt line (mid tier) is amazing. I’d of got a 3008 gt line, if they had a decent petrol engine on offer at that time.
