All cars are decent today, mostly rust proof and both engine and gear box far more reliable, powerful and more economic, and safety wasn’t even an consideration back then

The only real issue is electronics, most cars today have the potential to live far longer than cars of old, but two things hold them back, little to non driver maintance can be done, even by 3rd party garages, and the worst bit, the election is have about a 10 year life span. So they have thd potential but in reality a 15 year old car will be a rarity in 25 years time.

You worry to much Richard. If its gonna happen, it’s gonna happen. The sailsbury Bury thing looks as dodgy as it comes. Especally when mixed in with documents form the integrity intuitive crap.

Also you miss understand my point. I have noting to hide, but GIVEN the choice I’d always take the nation with little control over me, over one with full control.

I’m not touch about it Richard. I just don’t care. If I had a choice who was to spy on my, I’d always choose the enemy. So if I was Russian I’d want the us/uk, and being british I’d opt for Russia China.

Simpley because they can’t knock on my door.

All sides spy, and will continue to do so, so it’s not worth me worrying about it.

I agree, ex fleet cars (saloons) are always good buys, they may have high milage, but the majority is on the motorway. Pick them up for about half the price of a lower milage model, that probably put its lower miles on around town in short bursts.

I seen something last week, British intelligence said they found no wrong doing with Hauwei, but still recommended we should limit thier hardware.

How do you come to that conclusion?

It’s all about the west not being able to spy, not the east being able too. As atm both sides can, if we go 5g our intelligence won’t be able to spy as easy.

It will mean price he’s in america, and products they can’t sell/compeate with the outside world. It can only be bad for them in the long run. It would end up a closed state. Which is ironic.

You can daisy chain them too. they do come in many lengths though, bit may be cheaper to daisy chain a coupé of shorter ones than source a single longer one maybe. Make sure you get the correct speed one, x16 etc..

I hope the Chinese do retaliate against America. They could close America down if they wanted, cause some massive issues for them.

II can see that closed American market I was talking about a year ago in the horizon.

All you shoidl need is some mobo stand offs, (pilot hole and screw in), and some double sided velcro. My ssd just sit in the bottom of my cases. Iirc one is held in place with hot glue. The other just sits there.

If you get a gtx extention cable (can’t recall the name of the socket, long day) it will mean you can place the gfx card anywhere.

That’s probably because 1080p is upscalled on a 4k TV, so the difference isn’t that great. If you sit close enough you could tell, but form the standard distance of further it all looks the same.

Current stood looking at a 55inch 4k TV (1080p us), a a 40 inch 1080p and 2x 24 inch 720p all showing golf. From where I am they all look as sharp as each other. They are all 10 to 30 foot away from me.

I took the iZettle one as its part of the epos system I decided on, alone its 1.7% but if you use their Pro eops service (use it for inventory tracking etc..) the price is 1.2%

Still not the cheapest around, however given the pub never took cards, card payments are slow, but rising. Currenlty at about 10% of revenue.

What I do like about iZettle and I imagine all the new card readers is their speed. So much faster than the tradition style card terminals. I’m happy with iZettle.

I have a few taxi drivers that drink in my place, and they have bought the reader and use it just linked to their phone after seeing mine in action.

Thier is a handful of these companies doing similar products all around the same price. The more traditional ones are around 0.8% but with a subscription cost. Now if my card payments ever went big enough I’d consider changing. But I’m happy with what I have atm.

The US is just terrified it going to lose its spying ability if the world adopts 5G, give it can’t deliver it yet. And won’t be able for about 5 years.

It’s all BS. He has upped the anti, as the uk has folded and agreed to continuing using hauwei for its wired Internet and roll out their 5g.

All of our back bone is uses hauwei kit, and most Internet provider use their routers too. Have done for years. The issue now is if 5g take of they way it should, basically moving people off wired on to wireless, the US can’t spy on it. Or it will make it exteemly hard for them.

At them mo spying is way for all, if hauwei fill out 5g, it will put the US in the dark. If anything he should say, we have to ban it cos only the chinese may have access, and they won’t let America spy anymore. That is the issue.

As I said, there was sniping by both sides of the debate.

So at least we can end that debate, given we agree!

VFM I specified you as I was speaking to you. I’m not feeling vitumised I don’t think any insults have been aimed at me. Also you’d know if I’d insulted you. But if you have been insulted of myself, I can only apologise. My point was it was getting to the point at one stage where Peronal childish digs was being fired back and forth. I don’t care for “care for money ehire your mouth is” its not the play ground. And I don’t have the time or inclanation to read by though the 70 odd pages of crap. I had to read it once, not again.

I’m mostly just obverving. Add to that I have skin thicker than a rhino, so wouldn’t not ie if one was ment to take offence. But did notice jibes going back and forth. They was more subtle and was gradually building. Its about the the time I jumped back in. And started with  the why doesn’t everyone calm down BS. Everyone has set out their position, no one is gonna change their view, so it’s not worth arguing over.

Anyway, you crack on. My views in the mess have been aired, it’s not worth saying the same crap again, not worth mine, yours or anyone’s time. Not something I wanted or recall even needed to write out at 2am.
