Set up a PayPal donate button. When mm shuts down you should get a hand full of dedicated uses, if they all chuck in a pound or two a month in it will at least cover the basic costs and get you a bit or two. I’ll be your bailiff and bring it up monthly to nudge a quid out of folks pockets.

Does that cost £ to get a secure cert? If so maybe a small donation button could added to the home screen to help out with any costs. After all Servers anrt free and time certainly isn’t.

Lee I can’t find anything now. I was looking for the bugs and quirks thread. There is a guy on mm that had said he tired to sign up here but is still waiting on an acceptance email. It’s been a few days. It’s titles formite.

Also is there a recents button I can’t find, or is one coming. That’s the only button I use on mm 99% of the time.

Can the blue background be changed in the text input box, I find gray on blue almost impossible to use. Black on white i find hard, but gray on blue imposable. Somthing to go with my dyslexia, in every day life I just yellow text on navy. Is there a way to change the theme.

Also on both pc and Android the forum is so laggy today. To the point it is 5 or more letters behind. On a pc keyboard about 3 on a phone. Somthing seems broken.

The ‘who’s on’ is one part of any forum I never check.

As a last resort worth crippling it to have a working monitor, to use a timelaps/security/door camera /viewer.

Or just fixing it, into a under preforming device will at the very least teach you somthing. That’s why I like tinkering, the end goal is not really that important, it’s the journey and the learning I value more.

That’s my excuse why I hardly ever finish anything. Lol.

Wow I didn’t know you could fly to Taiwan from bristol.

That sucks thought. How did you end up with a Taiwanese variant. I thought on the whole there was an international version of most phones, and a US only version. Thr UK fitting in with the international variants. I thought it was the Moore niche brands that did aisa models.

Yourd think for tooling and for shear profitability reasons they would produce one world phone, which is getting easier now the US are dropping some of there janky networks.

My BiL had the issue on his 1+1 about 6 months ago, I think with the 7.0 update (may be wrong on that). He contacted one plus, and they gave him a time that suited him, and emailed him a few drivers and a program to his laptop, called him on a 3rd number (obviously), told him to plug his phone in to the pc, removed into his pc, and fixed his phone.

I’d personally reformat my pc afterwards, but was actually amazed on how far 1+ customer service had come, especially as the phone was well out of warranty.

Poimt of the story the boot loop is more than likely fixable as long as you can follow instructions over the phone, or let them remote in and do it.

My BiL said it took them all of the moms from start to finish, they probably had a script that took one key push, as it was such a common issue at the time. Non of my 2 1+1 suffered.

I’d of took to taking over the phone parochial before I’d let them remote in, but for the less pc literate I though was excellent customer service. It was a Saturday evening they called him back too.

                                      Flickr twst

This is a much larger photo than the others I was trying 24mp iirc.

Right figured it.  It doesn’t linking at all but I think it’s does to file size,  but thst should be an issue as its just a container and takes no real space.  However I’ve just figured for file upload is set at half a MB,  and your photo upload is set to 2mb.  The file size is probably fine the photo size could do with either enlarging or some type of plug in that shrinks the pic on upload.  Mm does that,  as do most forums,  and destroys the photos.  But I don’t mind that as I use that ad a basic “thumb nail” and leave a link inder/over to the origanal full res.

I think compressing the shit out of the pics is the best way to go for your management  of storage space and bandwidth .  Just show a’good enough’ representation of the photograph,  and let the poster link out to the  res.  That is if you can’t enable a container to show the full res off googs/flic/ms server.  (if thst makes senses).

My debugging is done for one night I’m off to watch the shitty new topgear then grabbing an hour before the day starts.

I see I’ve also been demoted!  :negative:   😉

Sorry Lee I can’t seem to get any of the obvious ways to work,  however it doesn’t mean they won’t work from a differnt source.

What confuses the issue is there is 3 obvious ways to insert a pic within the posting box ui,  one is file upload,  one is insert a URL to photo (just may not accept Google photos url will try with flicker in a moment) and the other is the traditional way of uploading a photo to the server,  same as file upload bit for pics, but non seem to work.

I’ll try yo link forn Flickr and see what was happens.
