This all started as I’ve boarded out my loft, and didn’t want to run a stitch down in to the already decorated landing, it would mean channeling out the wall, and a re decoration.
So I’m going to tap straight into the ring with the landing lights or may be bathroom . (Yet to be decided ) , stock a switch in line simply as an isolater and have a wifi bulb.
I was testing the bulb in bed the wife seen it, she couldn’t miss it give she was lay next to me, and decided she loved it. As you can select sunrise mode for morning, with is excellent, starts red/orange and dim and over 20 mins gets to a normal colour, also we now have a night toggle that doesnt blind you, or wake the other up, as Nell as being able to togvle on off white light I’m normal mode.
The lounge is going to get them next, as the wife likes ice white light for reading, so our lounge has them, though they sent the most relaxing bulbs even on a dimmer, so with the yeebulb we can had a reading toggle, a normal toggle and a TV toggle, and a disco toggle for the kids that reacts to music. Trouble is we will need a new with set up.
Regarding the bathroom, I want to keep the normal switch and bulbs, bit also want to have a second switch, (line a landing switch set up), bit have the second switch a wi-fi relay. This is because I have a young daughter that leave the light on most nights ! And now older kids, that are of drinking age and also leave the light on when had a drink. Wouldn’t be an issue but the bathroom is next to our bedroom and the two exhaust fans wake me and the wife up, and we have to then go and turn it off. So a wi-fi switch would be great, and it can easily be done with a pi server, and a relay penalty atached an audino or another pi , maybe pi zero.
I don’t know, they like it both ways. They have served up a vegi curry once, which my kids never got the name of, that was mild on india terms. Probaly we’d class it as a med to hot, that was the nicest curry ive ever tasted .
But they also make them selves hot curries, real sweaters, bit with out being painful, so many layers of taste, the complex is great.
Nice I heard about this years ago, but never give it a try.
Why would you need two acoimts btw, for simplicity. As couldnt you name the bulps mum longe1, mum hall 1 and so on, then simply set home screen short cut widgets to each, and drop the widget in a folder called mums lights , and one called simply lights for you?
Unless you don’t want your mum to have access to your lights from her end. It would make sense to have separate accounts.
I received my second yeebulb (wi-fi ) this morning. Not opened it yet. Getting expensive !
The americam media Dave are lying about the numbers, on main stream us news anchor tweeted a picture staying 2009 turbo it an today. I’m not disputing the numbers was greater in 09 but they was alot closer than the media are making out.

Reminded me of about 3 days before the election, there was a news footage of a Hillery rally in a town hall, I think jay z and beyance one, (I may be wrong on that tho) it was made out to be really full , but some one later uploaded a widangle pic from the rear of the room, it was empty, just a couple of hundred turned out. Short term I’d rather be brokering friendship with Russia. Hillary would of been at war with them ;score she sat down to eat that meal they had aster the ceremony. Christ the Obama administration was doing all it could to antagonis Russia up untill he left office.
Obama turned out to be dangerous, the man that was ment to bring the people together, actually screwed the poor, alianted the colours, doubled the us debt, that took 200years to build in 8 years , and divided a nation putting it back decades.
Yet still trump gets the blames and half the contry want obama to stay. An my kids teacher has been filling my 8 yo head with liberal shit , saying trump is a nasty man and Obama should stay! I have already complained to the school.
Its not so much I like or dislike trump, it’s hard to have any feeing for advance realestate developers, that make billions off the back of screwing the small guy. But wasn’t I hate more is the obvious media assassination and manipulation of people. They do the same with putin, the flip flopping with Assad is comical, so being British I always seem to fall down and root for the underdog, not cos I believe them right or wrong, but because I don’t like being manipulated, and I think think more people should do the same.
I don’t mind politicians lying to me. Sadly I’ve accepted that’s their job, but once the media get at it, is when I get annoyed. And the democrat liberal media in the US is shocking to read, it like reading imore.

Well the packages was delivered at 07:42, no one heard the driver so they was also considerate of the time. I don’t think they actually knocked as just put them in the “safe place” the garden ahead, given we have dogs, we never usally miss a knock at the door.

I didn’t bash him, I echoed what you said, he said “radical islamists”. The prior administration would even use the word Islam in fear of offending the Muslim community. But all that achieved is making the general public believe all “ragheads ” are not to be trusted. Trump has actually defined there is a difference and if the media do it’s Jon properly and not twist his words, they should be starting a debate with the American people defining the diffences between the billions of law abiding Islam’s and the Radical islamist extremists , that use a twisted version of Islam to pedal hate.
In regards to his america first , I think that should be every politicians goal, lol no America, bit their own colours. I liked his speach, incert Britain (or any nation ) in to America, and it’s a great speach. It doesn’t mean cutting yourself off from the world, it just means. We won’t be getting screwed no more, if the deal isn’t right for the country, we won’t do it.
I liked it, Ive actually grown to like him, and if he is allowed to shake things up, I think it may be good for us all.
The thing I like the most is his inexperience I’m politics, he doesn’t have the 40 years, of owing other poltitions favours etc. And the best thing about him is he going to give the American people something diffent, from the same model of the road politics they have had for 20 years.

I was reading up about About ‘home Assistant’ for ras pi, last night , just breifly it was late, but as far as I can gather, that runs as a server (middleman ) letting you control a host of things, I’d like to put a relay in my normal lights, my bathroom especally!
Google now and google assistant can speak to home assistant. Send a signal to a pi of some discrimination, or audino , that could trigger an relay toggling lights .

Edit- last weekend she brought a jelfrezi in, I like a jelfrezi, any non coconut curry done well suits me, but my god was this one hot, I think it was a cheifs special. It was superb . Mega hot, but so many layers. The up side to Jan being slow is the boss works every night , in the busy months he has other cheifs and in the years all my 3 have worked in the place, (6 now), he has never employed a cheif that can get close to him.
He had one force a good while that just burnt the spices every time, so you you got this bitter burning hot stuff, that tasted like you was eating black pepper, with zero layers. And it was like acid to me, loads of heartburn. I stopped eating his. It’s amazing when you eat enough of the stuff , you can tell how has made what.
As soon as the bosses goes in the microwave, while your re Woking the rice, you can just tell he made it, it’s just smells so complex .
I f-ing love a good curry. Also we have a curry take away in the next village, it’s ten year old, and was terrible when it opened, never been since, but I read in the local rag, for the last five years running he has been in the top 10 in Wales, the last two year number 2 , a gaff in Cardiff got the number 1 spot each time. So I’m going to have to check it out again. Banglafusion I think it’s called.
The one the kids work at is called Asia , and is oppersite the old landudnl theater now a wether spoons. So if your ever I’m Llandudno I highly recommend it.

Lol 12″ was a good guess. My case is small so I attached it with a dremel to remove the lover bank of HDD cradles. Doesn’t matter as I have HDDs and I simply not glued them to the floor of the case. And have my HDD on the second from top and I keep my top one empty to shove all the wires. I don’t had DVD drives . Well I have some in the shed. But I use a small USB DVD that live in my PC repair kit. I don’t even think that got used in 2016. Physical media is dead in my house it seems.
it will fit the mobo, bit they are quite big cards, so you need to make sure it will fit in your case. As your friend for the length of it, and double check you have aleniugjt room.

I turned ours (the wife’s) on , but I’m not home to test it. So if you , or anyone, jave a fire TV , down load the app, seems to the same on all platforms, and enable voice on the TV, and see what happens and report back.
I’d image on the TV it won’t be always listening like a real Alexa, so you’ll have to hold the button down . Also in the app you can select the TV commands to report back to the fire tablet, so that may be good. It may allow you to ask elexa something without it pausing your film etc, and your tablet talks , or visually, reports back.
My house is getting confusing ! I think all my devices are talking about me :scratch:
