Way too expensive. That’s a large sgs2 we are on 7 now! 5 years old.
I just emailed HSS and asked what their responce to the paper is. Their reply will be interesting. I don’t expect one fast, but they may already have a company stance already made up. I can’t be the first to ask.
I read a report over the weekend, on all the vpns that run on android, and non came out good, HSS was about middle of the pack.
Alot was injecting malware into phones, HSS was routing adds, but they are up fount about that so I didn’t have an issue with that.
But still my main concern with all vpns is they have all your data history coming out. So it’s all about who you trust the most.
I went with HSS as a way to watch stateside TV, and only with Teresa mays growing data wall, has privacy started to come to the forefront. So I don’t know which is the best, and it may be time to start looking a bit closer
Lol- I just looked at that paper briefly. And the reports I seen at the weekend was definatly taken from this paper. HSS as far as the reports said, it was one of the better. I know alot was taken off the play store within hours.
I’m at the hospital at 3pm ish, so I’ll read that paper then.

Your the one that returned with, i won’t by moto as it’s Google, (not been for 3 years but that don’t matter). Now that is your business and I know you don’t like Google and a Co, but surly your ideology is flawed, as your still willing to buy a Google phone, but but not off Google.
I know your reasons why you don’t like google, and It probably the reason you have distanced yourself from Ms, ad they have turned out worse at farming Data, but are sly about it, but to dismiss one over the other is silly.

If you don’t like Google so much why even consider a Google phone, thst will give Google all the info. No matter where you buy it from.
Well you could put a customer rom on and not give Google any Data, but you do have to buy a more popular dev centric phone. The Ironically in your price bracket, that phone is the Moto G lol. I wouldn’t recommend it tho. But it would save your google issue.

If you must get an android phone, you know you give it the same permissions (access) to Google who ever you buy it off right. By being 3rd party, your allowing aother layer of potential harm/spying/malware/etc.
I’m mot saying this brand is bad, the phone looks de end tbh. But I’m more interested in the I want by Google or Apple, why? I can understand if you said, I want by ios(apple) or Android, but you have decided on an android device, so why dismiss one over another, especially one that actually gives os seconds unity patches every month and os upgrades over one with no upgrade path or securty patches.

@ricedg the G4 is a great phone, I thought it a little over priced, but once I got my minds on it it feels really premium. Nice size and slick. It probably is a little over priced. Bit the updates I like, it saddens me they don’t keep the os ad updated as they did though@RSB its not yawn it was a real question!

They are now not a patch on when they was briefly owned by Google.
I don’t know why you wouldn’t buy of Google but you would of lenovo, that is openly dodgy with consumer gear. And all the other chi phones, all the budget ones I mentioned, and the one you link to, are all insecure, and or rather are 1. not accountable to no one, and 2. Not alarge enough company to have power to not have malwars forced upon them.
At least apple, google, Samsung, Ms, are under constant scrutiny.
Also what’s up with buying android off Google ateast then you only have one company capable of looking at your phone, buying Chinese cheap homes, you add a second pair of eyes you have no control over.
In November, it came out a media teck chips uses in most of these cheap phones had backed in malware that was reporting all text and phone data back to china. That is what made me get the Moto G4 over the £40 cheaper chi phone I almost pulled the trigger on. Not cos I am bothered about China getting my texts, because I was buying as a gift, and I decided as I knew there was an issue, it wasn’t fair of me to force a known compromised issue on a 3rd party. My 15 in this case.
Apple also has its own privacy concerns at the moment, it pretends it has secirity first, and on device only data which is encrtyped, but it just come out that they are actually keeping all msg and I massage, and phone logs and face time for 2years, 18 months longer than us law states. Actually 2 years longer with some of the Data.
Thats why I like Google, it tells you upfront, if you want in, you we do this…. I but when you buy Chinese, you don’t get the option. You have to take Google’s offer, and or the phone is usless, and you have no idea what is lurking in the background. So your exposing your self more, to make some type of point.
A Google made (or controlled) device, is the most secure of all the devices.
Also all chi phones won’t get the monthly os se unity patch. Your lucky if samsung gives it you, never mind a small oem with no control over its chips.
All you need to do is check there isn’t a (solid) wall above the one your pulling down, if there isn’t your gold you stick in a wooden lintel, laminate a outlet of 6x4s.
If however there is a brick wall, you’ll need to install an ibeam, or pull the upstarts solid wall down, and put a studed wall back in its place. Which is a actually better for sound installation and heat. If you installed it with foam.
Also if there is no wall above, pull the floor boards upstairs and check that floor jousts are not stating and tripping (resting on), and if so you’ll need an i beam. Tho they are really cheap at the mo.
Any decent diy builder can tell you in 5 mins what walls you can touch and how. Acro supports can be rented from your local tool hire for about £8 a week, you’ll normally need 4 and two planks to strap the weight evenly each side of the wall your removing.

The sticking your hand in there mouth is actually in “the book”, and but I’d think I’d rather have my kids swing a foot towards their chest, as even if they jump, you get there ribs or balls area. You have to be very confident to jam your hand in an angry dogs mouth.

Interesting why wouldn’t you by a moto g? I personally think they was over priced, the origanal one was a Cracker, and the latest one, and also is, but that is about £160. The Moto g3 was about £160 but wasnt great. Not sure of its size either.
The had to step it up for the latest one, because of the fierse competition in the budget area atm, the 3 companies I mentioned above are killing it, and they aren’t the only ones. I love watching and buying at the budget end. Great thing about having a teenage boy, I get to buy about 3 £100 phones a year. Year on year, the Speen they are becoming great devices is amazing.
The tipping point was the origanal moto G (£99 and £120)followed that year by the 1+1 at £220. The swift carried the batton, as did the Moto E into 2015.
I love that end of the market as at the top end it’s rather boring, incremental steps. I think phones reached there tipping point the year of the sgs3/note2 and the htc one x. Like pc’s, they was more than good enough, the rest has just been done consumer greed. Which I’m part of the problem I’m well aware.

I just went and bought a copy of the book. I probably won’t read it for a decade, but it will go on the shelf. Got the paper back used form Iowa, swastikas and all, not the boring blue copy. Well it was the £5 v £67 that swung it. for a £52 saving I can live with swastikas.
The cpu/gpu in that is about on par with the snapdragon 410 Audreno 306. I like to convert my cpu in to the equverlant snapdragon as I understand where I am with then.
That is 410/306 set up is that Motorola used in the Moto G3 2015/16, so not a bad set up.
The screen or not so sure about. I draw the line at about 4.8″ for 720p. At 5.5″ it will be “fuzzy” but ok.
Id personally pic a smaller phone or a better res display phone. Also I’d check out how much moto G3 are, and as they get decent support. I this will get non.
But over all it looks OK. I look at “blu” phones, they have good presence in the budget end, almost got my lad one for Xmas but went moto g4 in the end. Also look at “Honor”, they are Hauwai (or Xiomia)’s budget arm and do some great stuff.
What he said, if you dont know, get some one that does. Your local will be full of them. They wally work Sundays for cheap the good one.
Its a simple job to move radiators so if you don’t get it right first time they can be moved. In 12 I think only the rad in my kitchen hasn’t move. And thst is only cos we but the heating in when we done the kitchen, which in tiled me bulling down a load bearing wall. Which even though I’d done before many times previous, this was the first I’d done on my own lol.

However there is still a hard-core bitter blue undercurrent that hate Liverpool and think if it was for Hysel, Everton would of gone on to dominate Europe and become a big club. They think liver killed their future.
They don’t like like it when you point out they couldn’t even dominate in England, as even at their best, Liverpool was better. Then you run. Then blues are touchey about that.
My dad was a blue, as was my uncle and half my school friends. So communities are very split, and within the city, the spit about 50/50. But as Everton has little international support they like to boast they are the “peoples club” then you point out, and then liver done you a favour then stopping you go on to dominant level Europe and grow.
The bitter blue, the most miserable runs in the universe (probably).
And everyone hates Chelsea. Beaches of the money. Even though city got the money and more (I think), they still have a much harder job, first having to buy a team of misfit top players, to get them in to top 4, and then convert that team in to a winning team. Also they do so much for their community, city are a good example of a club.

Growing up, pre sky digital, sky analogue,( was there such thing) When sky had white speckled interference, we had the sky eye to get tv into a second room.
Early 90s I think. When you had sky one (Sampsons and cops), one sky sport ch, euro sport, nicoladian/disny and the movie chanel. Think that was it.
Question for the OG crowd, was BSB and Sky differnt entities, originally as for some reason I recall sky had round dishes, and BSB square dishes. Did they merge, or am I remembering the late 80 wrong?

My dog now doesn’t recognise a dog In heat, my BiL was going to bread his Mental Beagle, (he since changed his mind) but last Easter she was in heat, and we was at a family BBQ, my two dogs with me, all 3 are freinds usally, the Beagle runs rings around mine, mine fall sleep then the Begal just annoys them , usally.
But this day (both mine beeb done) his bitch Begal , was in season, and wouldn’t stop flirting and trying to “jump” my Dog, I think she was saying DO THIS TO ME YOU FOOL , anyhow, that day my girl dog, usally playfull, was very stand off with the Beagle, and acted very jealous and about 6 times that day we have to split the two up.
Btw my dogs , especally the bitch , that is the boss of my two, about the ⅓ of the weight of her brother, couldn’t fight her way out of a wet paper bag. Not to mention her underbite that stops her being able to actull bite with any force.
she bullies my boy dog around, in a grumpy way, he is never grumpy to her and always happy when SHE decides is play fight time. Females dominating the men, somethings are just always a constant.
Amazing creatures dogs, for an ex marine, I’m a bit of whimp when it comes to spiders, snakes (especially) , rats, hamspers , rabits etc, but I’ll happily sleep with a dogs head on my pillow.
I’ve always had a knack with dogs, I can usually sus them out in one look, especially bigger dogs. Even the most agresive , will settle fast with a sternt look and voice. Or a kick to the chest that one staff got one year, when it’s youth owner thought it fun to show off to his mates , terrorising the oaps and there small dogs on my local walk.
He sent it my way towards mine. my dogs hid behind me and I wasn’t chancing it, so I hoofed the dog in the chest, (which I felt sorry for), and the owners disapeare as I was telling them what I’d to to them if I seem them again. They haven’t been back.
I love a staff, but I don’t think I could ever trust one. Although I’ve never had one, but they are such a muscle , when one goes mental, the shit hits the fan, but I suppose that can be said for the God too. but if mine went mad, even my 8 yo old could handle them. the dog she could kick, and bitch that can’t bite, you’d probably kill her you kicked her, she is about the weight of an old football, but you could just let her have her moment the worst she could do is scratch you.
I don’t condone hitting dogs, as I’ve mentioned, but my kids know if a dog is going mad, ours or any other, the last resort is boot it like you mean it as you only get one shot.

Update. What a mess that interface is. I’d of sent it back in my first 30 days.
in about 2005 I recall seeing the sky server rumours, it was so needed with old muti room setup . its just not needed in today’s world of streaming.
that menu layout is terrible. sky’s problem is they nailed it out of the box in the 80s. I recall being so happy to get the redreshed new (now old) skyHD interface and it looked so much more modern, but in use it sucked in comparison. the old list system just worked smoother and faster, gave you loads of channels and programs for each channel all o one screen , for the newHD menus they stole ½ the screen for unnessessery “bling”, and gave you only ⅓ of the info per page . now they steal ⅔ for bling, and you get next to know practical info.
A central sky server was so needed back in the old mulriroom set up, I had 5 boxes at peak sky, and it was a real first world issue, for me to get in bed to realised MOTD was recorded down stairs , or that documenty was in the office.
I’m yet to see a better set up for “normal folk” than the you view box, I don’t have one, but that is basically the old sky menu system (don’t change what ain’t broke) , all the recording, time skipping and steaming is handled with you knowing , you just pick a time and scroll back to it and hit play.
The only thing it doesn’t do is the hand off, bit that could easily be interested with personal profiles. Like when you log into netfix.
The one doenside to you view, or with the box I got (but gave the mil) was its speed, but that is and may be fixed.
That Q interface is a pig, and far to technical, but pretty . Defo form over function .
I bet you can get use to it, and it’s them comes second nature, they all, do, but want the origanl sky menu and TV do is just mad it some , loads of info fast, and any monkey can use it.
The older I have got. The more I like my TV to be simple. Jen’s my love of roku. It passes the “wife” & “baby sitter” test, something I don’t thing the fire TV or Q does.
Box is a big provment though . Sucks you can’t keep it aftwards, the HDD would be handy.

He did bang his err sister! Not related but I’m not sure that matters to dogs, before they was whipped. She came into her first season very early, 5months old, and poor bob didn’t quite know what was happening. So I took them both “to be fixed”. Should of just done her.

General Model , is quated as in charge in this article above, but it was Hans Speidel that was incharge of the place. If you read his bio below , you will see he was , involved with the conspiracy to assassinate Hitler. Which apparently the meetings took place at this bunker,. And he went on to head NATO from 57. General Model went on to a 1945 death.
Sadly in the article above it links to the community page, but it’s now dead ?. The pictures in the above article are taken in 2016 and alot of work has been done since 2011.
