The whole add system is brocken, what is the he point of offering me somthing I’ve either already looked at, so I know about it, or ive bought it. I often have adds for stuff I’ve just looked at out of intrest.

I am a fan of target adds, as well hat is the point of promoting  sanitary towels to me etc, but that the Amazon adds should do, is show adds to related items I’ve searched for, as should ebay. Then the target  adds would be appreciated and I’m sure that Amazons and ebays click rate would rocket. Win win.

Show me stuff I don’t know about, be proactive not reactige. If I search for somthing and don’t buy, for the nest 4 days show me similar  products. If I buy, for the next 4 days show me related items (accessories)  and items that other people bought with that product.  Amazon at the least should be able to do this, instead of constantly showing me the item I didn’t buy a week ago!

is the Tuscon Nail on Bob? have you seen the Peugeot 3008 GTline, its a looker, and a hell of a car. dont know if its on Mobility, but i took to the wife to see one, and its the first car she actually liked. its so modern, with out sticking fake carbon or brushed steal everywhere, clever seats and all models come with a similar set up to the Expensive Audi i cockpit.

my wife is ambiguous to all cars, she just isnt bothered or wowed by them, our friend has a rang rover vogue, its very nice, wifes like “mha” , but she sat in the 3008, usually she just peers in, and hints to hurry up, she got in this, poked around it, then got in the back and the boot. while is sate playing with the awesome i cockpit. the middle spec there GTline is all you need.

For the first time since the Game Cube, Nintendo has peaked my intrest with the switch. My 9 year old in January asked for one for Xmas so we will be getting one eventually.

Probably. Really depends on the reviews and, big and, how good the Nintendo network subscription is. As at £40-60 a game, they have to offer something akin to the PlayStation Network.

Also £300 is a big ask in today’s world.  I recall the ds2 being about £120 we had about 6 of them all form Game, paid for 2, their £20 for 3 years unlimited warranty paid for itself MANY times over.

So time will tell. But I think it may be too expensive to be a big hit. I’m really torn on it. But my intrest is definitely peaked.

I wasn’t making a suggestion, I was highlighting why the side bloat is of little use atm in its current form.

Looks alot cleaner without it. only if you was to add something that is useful to the majority would it be worth adding back it. Thou tbh I don’t really care, as I don’t normally use the DT version.<span style=”font-size: 16px;”> </span>

I rarely use the DT site, but prefer the clean look of Number 2. To me the info in that side bar is  usless the wait is. If it had my inbox counter and some nav buttons like recent, and say an evolving list of my regular forums I frequent. Then id find it useful.

However I don’t know what your plans are for that box, so it may be awesome and we just dont know it.

On mobile I always miss PMs I find the messages Inbox tab is too far down the list, and I rarely scroll that for Down, so I’d like ‘recent’ and ‘inbox’ to be the top two options on the hamburger menu.

The formating went a bit wonky last night I noticed, I still see the Lat posters name, it’s just no longer aligned right atm. It’s drifted inwards

Considering the network either buys the shows or pays for them, if the show isn’t able to sell enough adds to recover the costs, of not just its bit the other 20 productions that never made it out over various stages of production, its canned.

For every hit, their is a 100 fails. It’s why tv is the of reality TV, it cost pennies to make, and has a good rate of return. It’s crap, but as it’s cheap, it doesn’t need huge followings to make it viable. By reality TV I include, the normal stuff, BB, X factor, Hollywood wife’s, chase on camera, my diet xyz, homes under the hammer, house in the country, cash in attic, antiques road show, cars shows and the 1000 others, all cost nothing to produce. Ironically the reality shows with the worse rap, X factor and BB, are the ones with the biggest budgets.

When you actually look at the, cheap reality TV isn’t a new thing at all.

Yes, to make you select which sub forum to put your post in, it’s just below the main text body input box. To solve tje issue that seemed to be having, as the win forum the the first, a few people was posting everything in that, thinking that was the only way to start a thread. There scroll wheels must be broke.

Maybe a change or error msg to ” chose a form below” or similar would make it a bit more clear.

That set up Lee put in last night, is basically the Mod way to post that I’ve been using for whole, I found if much more streamlined than scrolling through the forum index page. Though on deck top is not really an issue to go that way, more a pain on mobile.

all seems fine now Lee, i think you cracked it. and talking of cracking it, i entered the site for the first time in anger today on a desttop (briefly jumped in previously) and its a really nice nice forum, one of the best ive seen, and miles ahead of what MM ever was, the last ‘fixed’ version was just as broken as the one it replaced. this may have a few quirks to iron out, but very few. good job.

I was naughty and after I posted I downloaded the ten Eps to my phone,  Via Showbox We’re at the ozzy this afternoon, so I’ll watch one then.

I ended up stating treasure Island last night instead of watching one.

I think I’ll give ep 1 ago again now. Can’t sleep, backs playing up.

Edit – sadly Now TV only have the last 4 episode, so I’ll have to wait till the season is compleat and for them to release the box set. I could pay for the season on Amazon, but that’s not going to happen, or a couple borrow it on Show Box, but, for a show I never liked the first time, I can’t be bothered downloading it.

                                  I’ll wait.

Sadly they didn’t have much choice. But have no sympathy as when you have a pic of 320m people and they are are the best two the select, a criminal and a pathological lair, so what do you expect.

Then again we can’t  laugh, we had Blair, charm us into office  who turned out to be one of the worst men ever.  then we let the little brother of the guy that should of win his seat win, then choose a sandal wearing hippy, that is having an identity crisis atm to lead labour.

And out current dear leader, is the grey women of politics, that is letting power go to her head

I’m no conservative, but sadly it’s them or nothing, and they are not great atm. So we are just as bad as America, actually probably worse. At least they gambled on the chance of change. We just have one large party of Etonians running the house, and when they wrestle back power from the EU, their own be no stopping them.

You’ll find the first episode, the pilot, is usually crappy on most shows, so people like to skip that one apparently. I can’t I have to be in from Ep1, even though it’s rare Ep1 of anything is usually good. I usually give to the end of ep3 before ill give up on a show, as ep3 is usually where a show hits its stride, and if it hasn’t got be by then I’m out.

The only show ever that I’ve bailed on before the end of Ep1 is the new Antony Hopkins one on sky, I don’t know why, it’s should be right up my street, but I hated the 30 mins, I turned it off. Very very unlike me.

Over exams I watched black sails on Amazon and have now caught up with real time. How old fashioned it is to wait 7 days for the next ep!

Ive never read treasure island, but black sail is based on it, and I’ve just loved it. Ripped through 4 years of eps in about 10 sleepless nights.

Regarding viewing fingers, there are only estimates anyhow. But I’d imagine say ep 1 is good and 10 people see it live , word gets around, 20 then watch it on catch up, the 30 watch it live next week.

I think numbers are counted on views in the first couple of runs. I don’t think Nelson who count this stuff, count online views yet. But it’s easy to imagine how views can massively fluxe if the previous weeks ep was good.

I know if you dvr an episone of somthing in America you have to watch it in a certain time for it to count towards the offical figures. Ad all the figures are there for is add sales revenue, and not for the benefit of the show itself.

Also the likes of Amazon and Netflix won’t even tell the owners of the shows the viewing figures, and they know to the man how many views what gets

There is a good podcast called cordkillers I watched it more when it was under its old name and on the twit network, but they had the producers of house of cards on (Dawn Bowers or similar name) , and other big Internet productions, and they have gone really deep into what views actually mean, and they follow these trends etc, as well as discuss shows and how to legally get content online.

It’s axing the stuff you pick up when you have it playing in the background.

The simple answer is they are worthless to you of your not in the add sales business, and reflect little.

The G4 play may be a good option for you,

In regards to bluetooth, it’s very straight forward to do. You car will always be butting out its BT transmission, all you need to to is enter the BT settings, with choice is as easy as holding the BT icon on the phone, the you will see that the phone already sees the car, as well as the will be listed, all you go is hit conect. These days hardly anything has a password. But if it asks for one, it’s usually 8 zeros, or1234, a quick Google would find the answer.

Then when you phone receives a call it will dim the radio and the call automatically comes through the car speakers.

Once this was a very expensive retrofit if your didn’t have BT option ticked. My 2004 laguna was a rep car before me, (3 years old with 46k on for £3800, steal), but being a rep car they had fitted a parrot system, they are expensive and still are. Bit I just brought a very capable BT system for £12 on Amazon.

The march of progress, and the never ending capitalist race to the bottom. The system works great though.

Also a feature you may like, once you have BT set up, you can listen to audio books instead of the crap the radio pumps out, or somthing with is for more useful if not as entertaining, the phones sat nav, will dim the radio/audio book/etc and give you clear direction through the car speakers.

I know you don’t like smartphones or the idea of them, but ask Bob, he was in your shoes, and the device won him over very quickly once he got one.

What you must not do is buy a cheap crap phone, as it will make you hate them before you get to know them. It’s harder to by a crap phone today. But the entry level phone I recomend is the Moto E 4g 2015, that is £75 but is getting quite old and has limited storage, even though it has an sd slot.

So today as an entry device for someone that is a normal person, I’d say the entry level moto G4 at £120, would give you a good phone that will last a long time, and is berebones stock android no bloat, and will get 2 years os support, and a further 2 critical support.

If you don’t want to use Google’s mapping, you can use Here Maps. I mention this as my MiL, isn’t great with tech, and she has had issues not getting Google maps to work, for silly reasons of her own doing, like disabled data, etc,  but something she can’t work out how to fix, so the sat nave lets her down.

Here Maps is downloaded to your device (I recommend to download to sd), and will just work everytime. It’s normal person friendly. The whole of the UK is about 3gb in size.

I downloaded uk France and Spain as a fall back, which was lucky as 3s EU roaming is which is great, doesnt include Andora, as small as it is, the data towers switched me to a Andora, way before we got into the pace on the Spanish side, in the hills, and didn’t return untill way in to francs, so Here Maps Filled in nicely.
