I got one of mojang saying they had been even breeched and I much reset my pw.

Just incase anyone missed that. It’s time to change your pw. And change any other accounts that you have the share the same email pw. Even though you shouldn’t do that, I know we all do.

Bring back Tony Blair, we was all rich then. Forget about his illegal wars, that are still ongoing today.

I can’t believe TM thought it was a good idea it try and twist Corbyns old speech about not going to Afghan as it will created more terrorists. (a view I’ve always held Btw).

There was alot if youtube adds attackkng him, but they played the bit of his speech that I’d guess, most people would agree with. Then followed it up with Corbyn says about solders are the reason for terrorists.

Any fool, watching the smear add including me, can’t buy her stupid spin on his 2003 words.

She should  of spend time making adds telling me why I should vote for them. Or even better got her arse out of the house and actually campaign.

I hate a smear campaign. Out of principle I’ll always back the one being smeared. But in this case, labour was actually telling us what they would like to achieve, the tories wasn’t.

So I couldn’t of voted for them, as I didn’t really know what they wanted to to. So I couldn’t decided if I wanted to vote for them.

I voted for camaron, I didn’t like what he was wanting to do, but I understood why he was doing it. Back then labours approach wouldnt of worked.

I’m just glad, the right now have less leverage in the house, so they can’t lean more right.

If DC knew (or had an idea)  he was going to win the GE, he would never of promised a brexit referendum at all. And we wound the be in this mess.

I’m not blaming him, as when he promised it the race looked closer than it was, and he wanted to pull back some voters from ukip.

Bit he did, we did, and now we’re here.

I’m short to bob, in training I was always made to cary the gpmg stand in the field!

2 things not to be on the military is small or ginger. I’m not the latter, but boy do they get it rough. Our DL was ginger, and was still brutal to his kind.

Ed, I bought a watch last summer of ebay /Amazon for £4, so I had a watch for the back. I was amazed how good it was, and that it didn’t die at the first drop of sea water. It’s still keeping time in my glove box. Or was when I last seen it. Just To let big clear display and a good back light.  Super cheap band thou.

My BiL also a gorilla, went though £10 casio jobs for a few years, always smashing them, working in tight spaces in air frames. He finally got a GShock, and has lasted him 4 years scuff free, to work.

I had a similar issue in the marines, I wear my way h on my right wrist (left handed), and give you had an SA80 in your right hand, every time I was in the field I’d have to carry a spare watch, as every time I went to ground I’d smash the watch.

In the 90s the GShock was expensive, huge and ugly. All the lads got them, I found an adidas watch with a Sapphire front that works for about the same price, looked like a normal watch, and never scuffed. The leather strap broke  years later. Don’t know what happens to it.

Anyway, the GShock can he had for sub £100, we just paid £60 for the same model the BiL has, (but update light destine) for the Fil.

Today they are smaller, just as tough, better looking and cheap. Non or the things from the 90s. A great work and sports watch.

Amazon have a load of different designs This is nice for £70

That looks a right bit of kit BL, but way overkill for me. Usually I like overkill, I have wifi light bulbs and all kinds of shite I don’t need. But as the lounge isn’t my domain. I don’t really care.

Shame only a few, if lucky, will break though.

But I suppose congratulations is in order.

Though international football doesn’t really intrest me anymore. It just gets in the way of the real football most of the time.

Also England is just terrible, 91 and for me we peaked in 96.

I think we should revert to the old way and just pick players form the London teams for England. As that is what it was once.

My cheap philips all in one dvd /surround sound died this week. So I need a new solution. I’m just going to replace it with something  similar, and retro fit whatever the new connectors to my old ss speakers.

So this thread is well timed for me. I’ll like search ss on Amazon and by whichever is among the cheapest 5.1 set ups. I hardly go in my lounge so I don’t really care.

I just think think he went in to fast, you can’t be braking and turning in a super car, or turning and accelerating for that matter. Given its all wheal drive, (not 4×4), it will be prone to understeer, so you can’t trail break, like you can in a rear wheal drive car. You would break in a straight line, turn in late, and power out weary.

A FWD is the same, but you can power out as early, wheaseca RWD, break later and  you can turn in earlier, meet the apex earlier, but you have to wait to power out.

An electric car with regeneration and AWD, I have no idea.

More likely not having the gear box motion to balance the car and to aggressively slow the car, just caught him out.

Or depending on how aggressive the break regen is, he may of been expecting extra help from the regen, and just went in 10 yards to far, or as mentioned above, the regeneration just didn’t materialise. That’s what it looks like to me.

I know in F1 once the batteries are full, the regeneration just stops. Or did on the early CERS cars. Though this shouldn’t happen on a full EV. Given it would never be full.

Most of these electric cars in normal driving you will rarely  need the breaks, as the battery regeneration effect slows the car really fast, it’s a strange sensation. Most will turn it to its lowest setting.  So I’d imagine if your racing you have to factor the regeneration effect into your breaking point. But in theory you would want it set to it highest most aggressive setting, to act as a faux, but extreme, engine breaking.

Given this was a timed event, I reckon it’s most likely he just pushed limits.

                        Too brave for his ability.

Though these cars, especially that one, is fast, like no other, match that with little noise, and I’d imagine it would be a hard thing to drive one fast. as judging your own speed in near silence  would be hard. Judging when to slow even harder.

Bluebird closely followed by the Vx Charlton had the comfiest of rear seats ever. Them two cars was so comply to travel in.

Was the mountain roads rough? As my mountain roads are a hoot to be a hooligan around.

The bluebird I was in was old at the time to, a friend work beater, but thst back seat was Stella. The Charlton was new, we use to hire then to do Belgium ciggies runs, as a side earner for them last week’s of the month when in the militery.

Youd clean up selling cheap fags to the whole base. It was a good thing untill the gov shut it down and the papers stopped the £1 walk on ferry crossings.

Take two cars down to Dover, drove one to Belgium fill it up with fags and baccie, dive thst back to callais, then spend 18h going back and forth walk on with the goods, then drive the other car back over. Limiting what you can lose/be caught with.

It wae all about logistics, so we learnt something from the mod.

Imaging the incident 10 active marines cause in smuggling ring. Lol. Things you do when young.

My grandad shouted at me at the time, while taking handouts, I may add! Later in life he told me of his time in Europe after the war as a transport plod. He was in control of seeing what stuff got where across half of the EU. Said he never made so much money in his life!

Typical parental advice. Do as I say not as I do.

Now I’m off on driving instructor duty. Taking the pergeot to pick my daughter up. I’ve been promoted from taxi driver status.

The rules of engagement are just as fun, I recall my days, only engage if your life is in danger, them firing is not enough, they have to be firing at you! And if you engage you get to fight your own battles in court.

At least the Americans would have you out of the country and we’ll protected. Not good old UK.

Ffw 20 years, my BiL on his way out the raf now, was on gard last month, they got the whole rules of engagement spiel (as you do each time) , then sent to zero their weapons, then was told they was no longer allowed to carry weapons while on guard,  if they are fire upon to call for help.

Sooo… Yeh…. Let’s not tell the bad guys as there are many unguarded large stockpiles of arms around the country. Given he is in the raf, alot of unguarded jets and helos to boot.

Saying that we probably won’t have any in 10 years time to pretend to guard.

I think it was Margaret thatcher herself that said “her biggest achievement was New labour”.

                                Sort of sums it up.

Corbyns may even be New Cons, or may worst achievement may be seen as New New Labour or New old Labour, or a return to old labour.

Christ do we have a label for what labour is now?

No I get why they have autos, what’s strange is they price a manual higher.

It may be down to the slow speed limit and vast distances, but I recon its down to they are just better. Not as fun but better.

However untill ten years ago, they was crap, crappy 3 speed job. By crap I mean crap for a our EU low torque engines. America the home of the V8, may of been low on hp but alway high on the power front. So a 3 speed box was fine. They just couldn’t work on our old na 4 cylinder jobs.

Today’s 6 7 and even 9 speed (merc and ford) can work with any engine. As long as the computers dialed in to not always be seeking, with a 9 speed you can be at peak torque all the time. So in theory you shouldn’t be able to feel the gear change.

Like you bob, I’ve had manuals all my (shorter) life, but with my back, my left leg can’t take alot of clutch work some days. So I swapped to an auto, and now I wouldn’t go back. There are down sides, but the positives out weight them. Now if it was 1980 and I had to have a na diesel match with a 3 speed auto, I’d stick with the back pain.

That’s my theory on why US and AUS adopted autos way back. As distance shouldn’t really matter as once your on a motorway, it doesn’t matter if it’s manual or auto, you don’t use the clutch for hours on end. An auto makes more sense if you live in a city than doing 1000mile stints. I thinks it’s all down to the mighty US love of V8. (and cheap fuel).

The V8 is much like a modern diesel, you can pull away in 3rd,and keep it in 3rd to 90mph if you wanted. There isn’t much need for gears. So the old 3 speed worked well. Try that in your 1970s Morris.

@jayceedee you may be surprised to find out that it was the tories that focused the majority of there campaign on social media. Thy seen it worked for Obama and Trump and went with it. Corbyn done it the old fashioned way.

I seen loads of tory adds on YouTube, a aren’t fb wad the same. (targeted in marginal constancies), however I didn’t see a single pro tory add, they was all anti labour. I personally hate that type of campaign. Tell me why I should vote got you, not why I shouldn’t vote for them.

So I think relying on social, just targeting marginal voters, was bad, mix that with not getting any msg out makes it monumentally stupid.

Either way, I seen its somewhere around 75% of ‘the young’ turned out. The breakdown will be Intresting. But I underestimated Corbyn, ne has done alot of concerts and sporting appearances which have gone really well, people seem to like him. He was in Colwyn Bay on Wednesday (20mins from me), I count be bothered to go and check him out, but I also wouldn’t open the door to him or any others, so I wasn’t going out my way. But a few I know that did said they come away liking him.

All this, and TM wouldn’t leave her house thinking a few (bad) targeted adds would do.

Is this ad good as it gets for labour, or is this a new dawn? That’s the big question. But one thing is for sure the old tory votes will be dieing out alot quicker than the new wave of labour votes will.

What is now sure, the age of centre politics is dead. It’s again a left and right world. One good thing that could come from this is TMs further right (can’t call it far right), will need to be brought closer to the centre. Or at least tamed a tad. So me may be back to a little more centre right vs left for a while. If she would of won by a good margin, we would of been going even further right.

I’d like to add, I’m not a stornch labour supporter, I’ve voted for tory and Labour in my life. I vote on polices not parties. I’m a strange mix of Liberal,  socialist and right, depending on the question asked. (and the time of day).

Are you going for the auto, the VAG 6, now 7 speed DSG box is fabulous darling. Im getting it in my skoda. Same Box, it’s the best auto in the “normal car” market. That should be first on your list of extras to maximise your works budget.

It will be about £1500 (usual auto price)*. Then again being the EV it may not come in a manual at all. Probably doesn’t come to think of it. But that double clutch auto is sweet, especially when you want to be a bit of a div, and great in normal auto mode for boring daily traffic driving.

My auto is ok in manual mode, but you have to get use to its slight delay. Once you know it you can anticipate it and start to wind the power in that bit earlier to compensate for the gap. In reality it’s about half a second, but if feels an eternity in the moment. The DSG mitigates most of that half second gap.

*in the states you pay extra ($1500) for a manual over an auto. Strange place that USA.

Was lining to some stuff last night, and they was spectating that the con DUP coalition won’t last two weeks.

Apparently nothing was put in writing and it was rushed through in about an hour, and nothing signed. I line the con dem coalition that took a few days of negotiations and contracts signed.

Also i get the feeing that this is a good result for the start of a new old left leaning labour rebuild. I must admit they done alot better than I suspected they would 8 weeks ago.

TM is now in a pickle, about half her party are not even aligned with her, so the next year could see them crumble. Never much DC, or some of the stuff he done, but I could (mostly) understand why he  done what he did. With TM I’m at a loss most of the time.
