Yay, the first time I’ve been able to upload a picture from android. The find folder option was always missing. Good work Lee.

Just thought I’d show you my new car. Wife took the picture ?

Not seen a manual with a phone for years. Thinking about it, 10 years, as the origanal Android G1 and eve of the had any documentation. Luckily android was simple and didn’t take much to work out. It’s a bit more complex today, but still never had a manual.

But tbh any question you need answered is just a Google search away.

Iirc Samsungs, at least the best earlier ones, came with a pdf manual.

The new moto E  looks a good phone. Looks like a moto C is going to replace th and old moto E price point.

My TT issues last week turned out to be a 15 yo son issue. The knocked the filer out the master socket and plugged it all in wrong!

O the up side I got 15£pm knocked off my bill, as u was out of contract.

It’s not I sing their praise, just, for me at least, they have better customer services that. I both BT and sky had. So I don’t have anything bad against them.not bad as I must of been with them ten years now.

I also go a new “super router” out of my phone call. Though haven’t opened it, and only will if I have A major issue and need their real help in remote diagnostics.

France is a great place to find past relics. I live in the land of the castles, but francesca has some of the best preserved history.

Cos they have so much room v population, unlike here they don’t knock down and build on top.

Northern France is full of castles, hjge well preserved, nepolionic forts, ww1 and WW2 bunkers. It’s a fainting place.

Also, unlike here, everything is cheap to go and view. Average price was superb 10€ for adults and under 16 free.

Northen france reminds me of wales, it looks alike, but has slightly better weather, and far far far cheaper attractions for when it does rain.

If we could guarantee the weather, and had more reasonably priced attractions I wouldn’t the uk. But it’s cheaper to go to France or Spain than stay here.!

@drezha for the first time in my life I started looking at amd cpu that night.

I’m thinking of maybe later in the year, getting a Ryzen 5 1600 (not The x seems little gains, give you can clock both to 4Ghz). With ram you could set up a fine pc for £400, (with gpu).

I said I would like to avoid ddr4 as I have a stack of ddr3 I’d like to reuse. But after a quick, very quick at 4am) look about, I think the 1600 looks one of the best bang for bucks.

The 1600 will clock to 4GHz with the included cooler, the 1600x will also easily clock to 4GHz but doesn’t come with a cooler. So unless I’m missing somthing, I don’t really see the advantage of the X model.

The only thing holding me back is, I’ve only ever had one amd and it was terrible. Granted it was a cheap office box pc. Still it was horrible compared to my pentium 4. So we are going way back.

Given are tiny size, I think we was hitting far above our wright for years, and once the people of these lands matured, and the earth grew smaller, we was never going to hang on to far flung lands.

So I see are irrelevance, as where we should be, actually, we still have more clout than the size deserves.

Tbh I’d rather not be in a country that’s poking it’s nose in to foreign affairs, trying to dictate to others “our” way of life.

So I don’t care the empire had gone. I’d rather we worked in partnership with nations. As looking inward is a dangerous concept, it can’t lead to no good longterm.

Boarders are just artificial prisons put in place to control us. For the future when automation takes the lion share. We will need an economic model where every one gets a “living wage”, though for this to work the majority of nations need to be on board and share all resources.

I’m not saying new world order, as that is a capitalist construct, to feed the wealth onto a few. We weed a structure, like a socialist one, or even communist one, in the future more than ever.

The communist “experiment” of the ussr and Cuba, get called proof of failer. I don’t think true. Yest it failed, but only because the rest of the globe went capitalism, and that structure relies on inflation to work.

Communism relies on a fixed economy, (or more fixed), so as the worked got “richer” or rather inflation took hold over 30-40 years, it eventually left the ussr broke, as it still had to import. If the majority are working together with a socialist agenda, sharing resources, and not chasing shareholder profits. It would have a better longterm future than the capitalist culture we currantly have adopted.

Capitalism can’t work in the future we are martingale towards. There will be massive “haves” and many many more “have nots”

So as much I don’t like alot about the EU, us leaving the EU and the USA entering exclusionism, seemingly leaving the world, the world has took a backwards step over the last 2 years.

                                  Cheers Ed.

However you haven’t seem me solder lol. My old man would do it all one handed while user to he other to puff on rollies. My old man died before the net toom off, I’d love to know what he thought of it. He was old school and prided himself at his morse being in the he high percentile, so I reckon he would hate the Internet and forums. He would love the forums for help etc, but would probably see them as lazy and to inclusive.

I always have a though he liked his exclusive club, that you had to put alot of effort into, just to talk to a random stanger. I really ally don’t know what is he would make of instant comms in real time, at ant time.

I reckon he would like pi’s and audinos, and hey would be right in his wheel house. I hough think it man never used a pc in his life, dismissed them as toys. Bit he died in 02 just before they went main stream. So he got would of had to jump on board at some point. he was only 42, she in theory had a good 30 left.

Also he could of been doing all my odd jobs I cba doing! There is many.

Love steam. They have kept pc gaming at the hr forefront of gaming. It’s way out of bigger than Xbox and ps. Also it makes pc gaming so much more simpler than pre steam. It does all the hard work.

There are other library / pc distributors, but non come close for me.

Ms want Xbox /pc co-lab market place (metro) to moth in to a steam competitor. Usually I’d welcome Compition, but I don’t like the way ms can through their weight around. Making using 3rd party distributors that bit much harder to run etc, isn’t beyond them.

No doubt metro games store will also be on this win steam box. Though don’t we already to own win steam boxes. We just use to call them gaming pc’s.

You took my quote out of context. I said AWD is prone to understeer.

But yes, if this has true torque vectoring, (instead of fuax break vectoring like most), it’s shouldn’t. But if you overcook the speed. No computer trickery will save you.

I still thing the regeneration, caught him out. He was probably leaning on it (relying on it) a little to much.

Either way, it’s good publicity for both parties.

Don’t use HDR all the time, or you could end up with something like this: http://dikoxx.deviantart.com/art/Central-Station-Berlin-HDR-195734906

Them pics are ment to look that way. You can’t really make pics like thst from a phone. You’d need an dslr, taking minimum of 5 exposures, half a stop been each. Bit probably 7. Then you need to edit the file rap out of them in first photoshop then in port them Photomatrix, then back to PS.

I’m a fan of Proper HDR photographs, but not to over done. But it depends on what the subject is.

HDR on a phone is very subtle. Mainly because the lens just can’t take a really wide range of detail. It’s just just to compensate for the crappier camera. Though phones (mod range up) now do take more than good enough shots for normal non photo nerd people.

My dslr early comes out it’s bag these days. Just for special occasions, etc.

I was messing around at the bus station the other night. Downloaded a couple of more granular camera apps on to my phone.

It was really dark being midnight, and I was sure I could do better than the standard camera. On the pixel it’s always in hdr + mode. In this camera it doesn’t slow the shot down.

On the phone I just couldn’t tell the diffence. When you are I views them at home on the screen, all I manage to do was make the shots worse.

As I have no idea how to upload a photo here, I’ll like to the photos, also wont get compressed, as you’d never see the diffence. The first photo is the standered pixel camera app, and the other three pics are from two “pro” apps that’s let to mess with the settings.

I won’t be using them again.

All the pics are not great, as it was a challenging shot. Very dark with bright lights in the distance.

                                            https://goo.gl/photos/PuuQrHr7ZooSce53A

In the past my phones have had to wait while it take the 3 pics, early days it would physically take 3 one after the other, later it would take them all at the same time, but still there would be a time penalty. The nexus 6p had a buffer issue if you took to many to quickly. But the pixel is instant, and there must be a buffer point, but on a local day out I took many pictures, and never got slowed down.

Last year in the Bernabeu, I forgot the phone camera and was amazed on how good the 6P performed, but did get the msg a fair few time, “you can’t take more, untill I finished processing”

Nice pics if you’d like to see them (and the nou camp), all taken on a phone, in its auto mode.

The pixel has the same Camera set up, takes almost identical snaps, but is just quicker and no buffering.
