I like it, it just looks a little rude if you squint.
I thought something similar. Lol
I’d never heard of Technicolour Routers before so though you was having a joke regarding it’s age.
Lol Chris, you have to the love the “slower than 90% of the uk” reference.
Tbh 1.4meg is unacceptable on today’s rich websites.
There are many providers now that will give you basic Internet for free (excluding line rental) . Sadly that won’t be avalible for business use.
Already mentioned TechMoan above.
Train hard, work smart.
Lol, I ain’t trained for years. Walking the dogs is about as active I get. I really should change that!
…….. I need a dog walker. ?
Bob I love lightening. I can remember being in Italy in 1990, sitting on the hotel balcony and watching, for my first time, real fork lightening. My mum and nan was hiding away and I was just amazed at watching these lines hitting the sea and bouncing back up.
I contacted think I’ve seen anything like it since. The closest would be France about 7 years ago. Loire valley mid August, 2 weeks of 35 degrees (gets hot inland) was broken one day by the mother of all storms. Much like the Italian one, but in France it only lasted an couple of hours. I’ve not experience rain like that before. It was like a bath tap.
Probably the Italian experience wasn’t as good as my memory recalls. But it made an impression on my.
Also my now 21 yo boy (man) is still terrified of the stuff, as a boy he would get under his bed. He probably still does lol.
The wife isn’t to keen on it either. I just think uk lighting is boring in comparison to what I’ve seen abroad. I can’t actually recall seeing folk lightening in the uk. And I’ve spent a fair few months “camping” in the good old British countryside. Looking back I think every night, and day, it rained.
Side note, my 18th birthday i was on a exercise in Scotland, and woke after a brief sleep in a steam. That wasn’t the first or last time! Nothing like getting your dry gear wet, and burying your wet sleeping bag.
Touch wood, we don’t get thunderstorms, the big downpour we had last Friday (flooded alot of places) was the first thunder and lightening we have had in a long time.
We found out my 9yo is scared of lightning. She was walking home from school ran in the house and went round shutting all the windows incase the lighting got us.
God only knows what that school teaches them! I wad going to say the window opening would be the least of her worries of the house was hit. Given the gable end sits on the edge of a drop off. But though better of it.
Back home in the 80s/may be 90s I remember a house being hit and it took the whole gable end off. Thought that was so cool at the time.
I know the screen on my dash can goes off after a user defined time. Mine sits behind my mirror towards the passenger side, so I can’t see it anyway. Not cos I knew of any rules, I just don’t like having crap in my way.
Well bob sadly, no implant, no citizenship. You will have to take your African disease, let’s say “immigrant”, back to africa where you got it. ?
I can’t be seen as showing favour to people I like. If you do order that dash cam, on your way out of Gatwick could you mail it me please. I’d like a matching pair. ?
I seem to be getting confused, the R2 I have seems to be the better model out of the X1 and R2. Amazon has them both for similar money . I may of just forgotten I didn’t justify the extra back then. God knows why, but I can vouch for the R2. There may of been an R3 that just come out when I got the R2 that offered 4k over 2k. Honestly I can’t remember. Lol. I’ll get my coat.
The R2 is £89
Just checked my email and I paid the same £89 for this in jan of 2016. God bless Gmail.
I’ve edited more since. It’s cheaper if you scroll down.
That X1 actually replaced the model I still have, the R2. The X1 was about £150ish, the R2 down to about £80 from £150ish. I couldn’t justify £150 and I didn’t see the X1 being twice as good as the R2.
The X2 is out now, at £150 and is 2k res, but trust me, the picture on the X1 will be fine, as the older R2 is more than good enough, even at night.
But don’t rush into a purchase, have a look at that yt site I mentioned, and Google whatever you come across. That’s how I do this. Not always though, I often get rushed to the head and buy before my brain engages.
I woke up today to an amazon dispatch notice for a hip flask. For some reason at 2am last night I thought it would be a good idea to have one. I don’t drink spirits anymore! Oh well I best start again.
I have a vantrue dash cam, it’s very good. Iirc it was £80-100 for a single front feasting jobbie
There is a youtube channel called “techMoan” he seems to review all the dash cams and other strange stuff. I bought mine off the back of his review about two years ago.
The link below is the the vantrue X1 priced at £89, but if you scroll down it’s offered with a 32gb Samsung sd card for £71 (camera @ £59)
There is nothing wrong with this camera, but I’d say defo look around. It was a great camera for its price 2 years/18months ago, and at £59it still may be. But I’ve not looked at them for a good while.
Though get a 64gb card. That should last a good day or two before recording over itself. They record in 5 mins chunks, so the bigger the card the longer “that” car park scratch/dink will stay on the sd card.
Also as your a swift driver, (your words) i would keep gps data turned off,if your chosen unit has it. As if your doing 45 in a 40 and some pulls out on you, your footage with a speed log is worthless.
?
Chip everyone at birth, a good gps enabled one. To enter every public building you should have to pass through scanners. No chip no admittance.
Match the chip with a filly electric currancy and you have a population you can fully control.
Wife has the P9, it’s a good phone, thr os is a little wonky though. Nothing wrong with it, it’s just a little confusing, after being on stock and cm for so long.
I found out earlier Huawei Owns 10% of smartphone worldwide, which makes it numerous 3 behind Samsung and Apple.
I found out reading a press report saying that they was ditching the budget and lower midrange devices as the margins are next zero.
Good point, a cheap 4.5″ device will be larger than a newer 5″ device.
The Moto E is a little above your budget but a good phone that will get all the updates for the next few years. Including all the security ones, which is something no older cheaper phone will receive.
The issue with the gtc is that is a very good car, it’s chassis suspension is way better than it should of been. I actually though that the new astra was going to use the same set up. But it doesn’t.
I now don’t understand the whole gtc project, it only lived 3 or 4 years, sold over its predictions then canned it. I thought it wad a trail for the new car, maybe the hyperstut and multi link set up is still to expensive for their main steam. Or may be GM just needed to maximise margins for its sale of vx/opel. I see holden was shuttered, to get the sale through.
Back to the gtc, it’s electrics are its down fall. And sad to say the new astra had all the same bugs as my gtc does. Vx know of the design flaw, they admitted that to me, so to see it on the new car is just un acceptable.
Also i have a few rattles now, which to me is unacceptable on a 2 yo car. Imagine what it will be like at 7 yo!
My door panel you need to punch to get it to stop. When it starts it sound like there is a vibrator stuck in between the door skins. The brand new astra also had the same rattle, much quieter, but the same punch would fix it. Vx have “fixed it twice” now, both times it’s come back before I’d got it home.
Another issue is having more than half a tank of fuel unsettles the balance. Which is annoying as I only do full fill ups. Especially with this car, as it averages 34mpg and only had a 55litre tank. So I’m there often enough, with out only half filling.
July 27, 2017 at 12:16 pm in reply to: Use High Profile Asian Hotels? Watch out for Dark Hotel Hacking. #10542No one should be doing anything in portmanteau on a, public hot spot. If 4g is avalible always use that, though that isn’t 100% safe, but if your out the house use a vpn. They are not expensive for a good one that won’t cripple your bandwidth.
Mine is capped at 20meg, when out it doesn’t effect speed, at home I notice it caps out at 20meg per device which is plenty.
I think I pay £18 a year for unlimited bandwidth, no adds.
As I said above Robin, the astra I had as a loaner last week had android auto, it didn’t work well, though it could be down to my preview os, but that hasn’t had a negative effect in the other cars is tried it with.
The whole Vx enfotainment system wasn’t great, i wad disappointed with the car altogether really as I like the looks of the new 5 door astra, and heard it drove great.
It’s drive was poor, a focus is still better, no matter what the reviews say, though Ford sync is poo and they still lake auto/car play.
I wouldn’t get another Vx anyhow, too many niggles with my GTC and their CS is poor, or my many experiences over the last two years have been.
Maybe it will be better under pergeot, and hopefully they follow the new pergeot standard of interiors and enfotainment. They are doing some of the best stuff in reach of us normal folk. Shame they don’t have sportier rides, as that is the one thing they have missing for me.
