Oct 2035, seems a long way off, I doubt I’ll still be here bob.

Just looking at the number “2035” doesn’t compute, seems like a syfy date.

I can remember  being a boy Sat in my late Nan’s, talking about the year 2000,(this would of been late 80s) wondering about flying cars. Lol.

My Welsh is terrible, but I got the gist of it, before noticing you’d done the hard work below.

As much as i admire the passion the Welsh Council has, the cost of all the dual lingo signs must be vast.

Also dislike the fact that to work for the gov in any role you must be bilingual. There are exceptions but that’s mostly the rule.

I don’t know what was wrong with the original English laws on the Welsh tongue ?

Lol Bob, I knew what an eclipse is, even though Ive managed to miss the lad two here. I ment the only reason I knew of the US eclipses was cos android was using the event to time a release of 8.0,

I wasn’t to fussed about the eclipse itself. If I couldn’t be bothered to watched the two that I’ve missed. The reason was hangovers/sleeping. Iirc about 1999 and about 4 years ago.

On a couple yes, I use one as my book mark page if you remember. I do still have a couple of domains and possible plans. But still remember some html/css, but now I’d likly not go that route given websites have move on so much, something like square space is a far better option for an amateur.

However as we know life happens while your planning.

Actually one of my domains, may be ripe for a site as we have a mining museum/cafe/cycle hire (it’s in flux).

Though at the moment, I have no time for anything, life is really moving beyond any plans. Couldn’t even get away this summer ?

I’m with Dave. Ms know alot more about windows and what’s needed, than any one else.

I just let the updates happen. Most of the time you don’t even realise they have happened on win 10.

Like most lessons in life, they are only learnt from making a mistake. The fixing of that mistake will stay with you.

Of you have an iPad there is loads of good programming courses on iTunes U. About the only thing I liked about the iPad, so underrated, God knows why Apple didn’t push that.

Some nice Ivey league courses on there. I done the c++ 101 a few years ago. I find it far easier to learn as i do, than follow a book.

Maths, like programming and electronics, it’s nice to have books for reference, but boring for me to learn from. I think reading maths at uni killed the fun of learning from reading for me.

Google used the eclipse to time its android 8 (oreo) official release. It was super cheesy, but within moments my phone got the full release version of 8. Both pixel and N6.

Let’s hope it’s a little more stable than the betas have been. Saying that 8 has been more stable than any betas previously.

That’s about my breadth of knowledge about the eclipse.

Love my auto lights and wipers. Especially the auto high beam. It took me a while trust to not to blind people, but it works well. I’d say better than the majority of humans, Inc ones self.

                          Hehehe

Well… If the Japanese didn’t come over here with their fancy cars that started every time (pft), we would still have our “great” car industry, and would not of needed to join the eec. So therefore we wouldn’t be leaving.

                          Simple logic really ?

It’s the Japs fault, all of it. ??

Looking at a few you yt videos of this, it looks a novelty at best. A good way to scare dogs.

A couple of dedicated cameras would be far better.

Also if the robot goes out the room where the charger is housed it can’t find its way home to charge. Looks like it relays on some kind of ir signal from the Base station. Unlike rumba (vacuum) robots, that I think map where it’s been to find its way ‘home’.

Looks more like a kids toy, than a proper security device.

If you have any old smartphones, you could use one of them (or all), as a diy option. I’d bet they would give at least as good output at this robot. Night maybe not. But if you have a smart bulb(s)  you could set them to turn on if noise is detected between 11pm and 7am for example.

For breakdown do a go compare search or the other one. There are loads of services out there that piggyback off RAC and AA, at a fraction of the cost.

Yes I get an honest car, that’s why I liked the Sil’s freelander better over the BiL BMW X5. The X5 is no question a better car, but the freelander is not trying to be something or make a statement. He now has a nivara with I prefer to the X5, again it’s just “honest”

I also get what you mean about “ST trim” and not having the bhp, the corsa is the same, looks like a rocket, but houses a 3cy 1litre power plant. Which is a great engine BTW (both Fords and Vx) but its not quite up to hot hatch lookalike standards. But good for kids that want a nice looking car, and don’t want to pay £10k to insure a fiesta St200 or a corsa vxr

The worst in my opinion is AMG, that once ment a stupid engine and a bad kit. Now you can get the bodykit with a 2l diesel engine. WHY OH WHY! well I know why, they are chasing the money, but diluting the brand. ?

Glad your liking it pm, I’ve never drove one, but only hear good things, and I like the look of the swift.

Hopefully lots of fun filled miles ahead.

The new vitara is looking a good buy to. As long as you don’t go for top spec, too expensive for what you get, and it puts you in the price range of better cars. But I do love the look of the new vitara, like a mini range rover.

This for me was such a letdown, I bought an Xbox for this game.

The original Xbox is the only console I’ve sold. Never revisited halo since.

Insurance has always been stupid. My first policy quote I got was  for a cavalier and over £3k. My first insurance was for a van,  they are cheaper than cars, escort van worth all of £400 (give or take) was £700, but a move to France brought it down to £400.

Then after that for the last 15 years my insurance has been £300+/- £20.

My girls current insurance is relativly cheap at £700 on a learner licence, but on passing it goes up to £2100 is the cheapest. Funny enough my lad is also learning, for him on the same car is £700 but “only” goes up to £1800 on passing.

About 3 years ago a friend passed and her insurance for a Citroën c3 was £2100, she lives in Manchester, the price for my a dress would of be for her £1500.

So for as long as ive been driving, young and inexperienced drivers get stung hard, but from my experiance location plays a big role in prices too.

Also being married and having kids brings premium ls down to.

Exciting times. Nothing like a new car. My friend just got a new (offensive) clio, it’s actually a very nice car bar it’s blag name.

In my mind a clio cungers up a clio Williams, now the clio is easily golf size.

The new one has defo grown up, and jumped up in quality. I recall my mates 2002 18month model that nothing worked in. Pos it was.

Today it’s hard to buy a bad car. A decent mid range is now a better car than the best of the 90s. Entry cars now are literally light-years away from where we was.

As dangerous as they was, I still have a soft spot or fiat 126/500 mini etc.

I seen a Ford pinto the other day, I don’t know how good they was in their day, but dam their design has aged well. Such a nice side profile.

I have a mad eclectic selection in what I find good I’m cars. It’s ether sporty or stupid quirky, posh I can do with out. Though as I’m getting older, I’m getting a bit more accustomed to a bit of comfort.

My wife, the girl that along time ago was happy being driven in an escort van, and once a 13 year old rover, now refuses to get in her days (shabby) camper van for days out (it’s very derpy lol) and last week refused to get in the kids pergeot, when i wanted to take it for a run !

I don’t know when it happened, but she is now a car snob. One that has no interest of cars.

Also we have been talking colours on the new Octavia(still a year away) , it’s about her only input. On the last car, my orders was “not white”. That’s it, that’s how much cars intrest her.

So this time, I showed here the superb lime matalic green that the Vrs comes in. She just laughed and said “we are not in our 20s, I’m not getting in that.”

So that’s a bonus. Now I’m thinking if I get a lime green Robin reliant , it will also put the kids off getting in. ?

In reality it looks like it’s going to be satin grey and black wheels. I’d like the green,it’s very nice but I don’t year, would suit a 25yo better.

It’s the estate I’m after, but couldn’t find a grey one. So what do you think green or grey
