Just look at any driver door handle surroundings that is driven by a woman. I don’t know how they do it, or how they have such little respect for their expensive belongings.

The boot opener is built in the the Vx badge on the tail gate of mine. If you don’t know it you won’t figure it out.

When anyone new tries to open the boot, I have to use the fob from withing the car. Especially for women, and I don’t want there ring laden hands fumbling around my paintwork.

In my days of hire cars, the petrol cap opener was always the one I couldn’t find. Well after figuring out what side the cap is lol.

Pubs are full of plasters that work Saturday and Sunday mornings.

My old man’s plaster mate, use to say ill be there at midnight leave me a crate of Stones and it will be done when you wake up.

He would then go home, have a nap and be in the pub by noon.

He was in high demand as he was excellent. Now plastering is the one trade I’ve never been able to turn my hand too. This guy couldn’t speak, or walk straight, but could plaster line the beat of them.

                Probably dead now ?

Them and carpet fitters, pubs are full of them to work cheap weekends.

Your thinking of wood chip. Whatever they stuck that stuff on with in the 70s mush be banned now.

Anaglypta is easy to set off, with or without a steamer. The secret to getting Woodchip off is one of thighs s our ingredients wheels, that pierce the paper but not the plaster, then use a steamer. It’s still a pig, just less so. More a pigglet.

The issue with long paper is its meant to go under, flatter posher (patented non paintable  paper) to minimise the cracks etc showing through. . On it’s own it’s just thing crap that shows the contours of the broken underwall. But yes it’s easer to remove.

Personally I’d wallpaper it and paint it. And when you have the funds go room by room replacing the plaster compleatly, that way you’ll never have to think about it again, and you’ll have your perfect finish to paint.

Personally I’ve gone through the painted wall fad, and am back to wallpaper as it’s more warmly and homely. Modern housed that are just painted plaster, may look nice but they have zero atmosphere, cream perfect boxes.

Hay but on the other hand, they are not old and drafty, like houses with character are.

In the summer I’d take my house, come December, I’ll be changing my tune lol.

Living in a 100+ year house, iwas presented with walls like that. You can either get them skimmed or paper.

As we was skint when we got our house, it was papered and painted. As the years went on room by room we had them skimmed, and in some rooms taken back to brick, bored then skimmed.

                    Get the electric sorted first.

You can get solutions to smooth walls from pollyfiller etc.. But unless your gifted with a float and want to spend days and days sanding, avoid them and get some decent anaglypta wallpaper to paint.

Cheap,  fast and covers a multitude of sins.

Lol, a few time while on the continent I’ve gone around Roundabouts the wrong way. It’s usually when I’m lost and flustered on a road with no other cars, my material instinct just takes over.

Remember my old man doing it also in the 80s, and meeting and in coming car flashing at us mad brits.

I still think we should scrap the whole international set ups. It’s gone from a distraction to a circus.

Move the league schedule to a summer one, and maybe do a 4 nations type set up over the Xmas period to make up for the loss of Xmas footy. Plus with it being home nations people may care again.

friendlies  annoy me, qualifiers frustrate me, and tournament’s depress me. I have no room in my life for unsatisfactory footy. I can only take so much.

Just another day inside the walls of the FA.

A load of old boys all looking out for themselves, totally out of touch with the game and it’s fans.

From what I’ve heard today, before he was appointed the board was warned of his past indiscretions, which should of been enough to not offer him the roll. Seems a right clusterfuck, but it is nice to see the girls team is handled in the same inept way the men’s team is, and the rest of the leagues.

Never noticed before but it’s happening here though I never return to the main menu via the back button, always press latest replies, as I forums months ago by pressing the back button it doesn’t reset the read/unread flags. But that is understandable to some point, so never raised it.

The need now to o hit the button 3 times is an odd one, but not one that gets in the way of any real function.

Skys HD was never great, just look at Netflix HD, YouTube’s or even skys own now tv, so the games are filmed in much higher quality than the sky than what sky broadcast  at.

One could think they reduce the HD broadcast quality to make their UHD look better? Just speculating I’m yet to see skys UHD, or any UHD out side of a curry’s.

UHD football may be great, and once you see it you can’t go back, I don’t know, but I’m more than happy to happy with now tvs offering.

Does skys hd football still ghost? It use to look really poor, and you couldn’t swap to the regular sd as the lines would go all pixelie weird on a 1080p large screen. I found with HD football skys offerings wasn’t great once HD tvs became a thing. I susspect its changed now there is football broadcasting Compition.

The BBC HD chanel was always the best on sky, apparently the used a higher bit rate. Wimbledon always looks fantastic. Maybe it’s easier for the BBC just having on channel to broadcast in HD over skys multitude.

BL that’s the first live TV pvr box that has peaked my intrest since we rid ourselves of sky, about 4/5 years ago. I’d like a review of you once you have all up and running for a month or so please.

Or better still, one off your wife. As if yours is anything like mine, she won’t put up with ‘quirks’ and work around to watch her crap. Then again, when it comes to tv I just want brain dead simplicity, as when I want to watch TV it’s usually because I’m in a lazy cba mood.

I’m sure it was only a few weeks ago we was discovered using the merits and/or lack of for cc. It was once on my must list for all pc’s. That was a long time ago.

Really good read. Just shows how far we have come. Fascinating and scary.

I think I’ll use that app at my local Tesco pump from now on. Just to see.

I noticed yesterday my lads passport has an Nfc chip in it. My phone “bonged” and I placed them both down on the desk.

Btw I’ve now got a new pet hate, I realised last week I now hate people that don’t pay at the pump! I wish we had more of the continental style drive-thus, then I wouldn’t bother with the pay at pump myself.

This after noon the news was reporting upto 20k followers and that all the banks in cologne had ran out of pound sterling.

So “they” was well aware of their small army. I like it tbh, as long as their isn’t much trouble.

This sub 40mpg figure is something me and the FiL discussed alot in about 2008. I went with a 1.9l d laguna, with all the bells, decent power, comfy if not dynamic drive

In the same month, he opted for the entry level for ka, no comforts, no central locking, now e windows, no sound insulation, a missing seat (or 3 compared to his previous Zafira), and an around crap drive, with now chassis.

He bought his with the same goal as me, mpg, I argued a big engine that isn’t on a dynamic chassis, is made to lumber around and basically be next to idling the majority of the time.

He reckoned the ka’s small engine and light car, would wipe the floor with my hugh heavy (semi) luxury dirty DIESEL.

The results didn’t take long to come in. Over the life of my car (7 years) it never dipped below 50, averaged 55 most months, and on my foreign trips would do 65mpg @ 90mph. It would do almost 80mpg if you done 45mph in 6th lol. But I don’t have time for that.

Also my 04plate laguna was £4k with 46k on the clock from a Renault dealer, the ka came in around £8k new.

The only good economic city car is an electric one.

Unless you have a relatively highly strung engine, any 2l d tuned to 110bhp is going to out preform a 1-1.6l petrol city car.

Though I’m going I’m petrol next and would love a fiesta st2/150/200 (any would do. Sadly i will be going petrol but not the fiesta, to small for the incoming  phase of my live. So will be a saloon/estate/maybe a rav4 hybrid, at a real world 44mpg, and the equivalent of 200bhp on tap, would Mané a great city car. May be not, but would make a good outer urban fambo car.
