Defender works fine. I’ve used it it solely on all my machines for about 8 years.

I don’t get that pop up or haven’t noticed. But I never turn my machines of. I just let them fall asleep.

I use the charity cloth bin bags, to get rid of the cloths my kids grow out of. Easier than taking them myself. Otherwise I stay clear of most charities. I trust very few of them.

Even the ones I agree with, are usually found to be less than fair with their percentages, or they clouded with my moral compass. Ie. I agree with thier cause, but disagree they should be needed, and ultimately think they ultimately harm their own cause, that the British legion, help the heros wad also in this bracket, until it came out they wad just as crucked as the rest.

I’ll donate time and effort, but I won’t give cash to a charity.

I’m yet to see the score.

Talking of fans dressed up a WW2 fighters and singing bombing raid songs etc, everyone we play this is highlighted from both sets of fans. It’s done in jest.

As the years roll by and the press get more and more pr friendly, it is now reported as a bad thing, when just ten years ago (or shorter) it wad a good. Thing.

I was watching a show last week about football and it’s strange fans. Back in thd 70s West ham untied had a match program with two nazi clad wh fans singing. No club would put that in the program never mind make it front cover.

The panned on the show, all agreed it’s its Prince harrys fault. If he would never of done the nazi thing as fancy dress we’d still be ok.

I recall early in the year, just after the ajax coach bombing, that next next there was a load of football fans iirc Leicester, in Spain all dolled out in WW2 gear so fingers the songs, because of the ajax thing, the press decided to take nail Leicester, also they made trouble that night in Spain.  (but I doubt it was the dressed up lol).

The hosts on talk sport was talking about pc going mad, as the German fans do the exact same, the dress as tommy pilots, and the get to get her with the English dressed as Jerry’s and have a great night. This has gone of for decades, and untill the last couple of years, hasn’t raised any eyebrows.

Ive got nothing against I was tbh, it’s funny, and comedy it’s ment to push boundaries.

I heist I grew up in the 80s and by then it wad all jokes about the war. Even the Xmas play at the local theatre had Stan boardman (he drinks in my local now with Dennis Taylor and Mike england), and all I remeber him for is goose stepping a shouting “z-germans r coming” oh and that stupid rubber chicken he still carries with him to this day.

One night in a pub with the man, is enough to make you want to strangle him. His comedy is lost on me. I’ll usually leave within an hour of him coming in, he is very load, and has to be the centre of attention.

We know your on a desktop John, that’s why you was sent a link to a chrome extention to see if forcing the mobile page helped. The extention was just an example that it’s possible, Im sure there is a similar dev tool for FF.

What res is your monitor? Pic a phone with approximate res as your monitor (in the user agent switcher drop down) , and the mobile page ‘should’ make the mobile page fit better for you on your screen. If Lee built it right ? it should dynamically adjust.

                  If not, I don’t know.

My usual default stance on England is “what’s the point”, but in this, and Brazils case “really, what’s the point”.

I won’t be watching, but maybe, just maybe, we may find a gem amongst our second string players.

                    Doubtful.

Try and force the mobile view John. Could be an option. I don’t know for sure, but there is probably a pluggin you can use to do it.

Then you should get a larger font, and cleaner ui, on a lesser res. Maybe.

Car insurance should be changed every year. It’s practice to get people in at a loss leader for year, and they rely one people not shopping around. For the next years hikes.

In all my years only once I’ve not had to change once. And that was not cos it didn’t go up that year, it just didn’t go up alot, and even changing would of only saved £20. This though is not the norm. If is swap, my insurance hasn’t gone above £300 in almost 15 years. Some years my renewal quote can go up to £450. A quick shop around always drops it below the magical £300 mark. Currently at £280.

Regarding RAC, use compare Thr market, and other comparison site, and you’ll slash that figure. I only take out raid side assistance when I go abroad, and there is a hat full of providers that piggy back on AA and RAC at a fraction of the price. Last summer I used a company called Green, it wad under £50 for full euro roadside assistance, with rental and hotels in the event. the big boys wanted 3x as much.

Home insurance along with pet insurance, should also be visited annually. I changed my gas and electricity yesterday (SSE) , and saved £200+ on my old price, nevermind the price hike NPower just informed me about, even though I’m massively in credit, according to my bill.

I wouldn’t mind but last quarter they rebated £300+, then within the last quarter, I’m already 200 in credit, but in their wisdom they want to up my minty payments from £90 to £140! By putting in my usage data, I’ve got that down to below £70pm, which is actually unlike with NPowers prices, once you take rebates in to account, but they don’t overcharge upfront.

Rule of thumb, set aside one half day a year to go through the lot. It will probably your most productive (financially)  day of each year.

I can remember in about 2005/7ish, rumours of the up and coming sky home server, that stores all your recordings in one place, and serves them up to thin client style boxes.

At the time I was at “peek sky” with 5 sky plus boxes in the house, and then I was like “where do I send the money”. 10 years on I’ve been sky free for about 4 years.

It was only today I found out you could record 6+1 with Q, (radio advert) I just laughed, 1. At no point iny life, have I ever needed access to 7 channels. Maybe two of three times in my whole time with sky + I’d want to tape 2 and watch a 3rd, and wished for an extra ‘slot’ but 7!!

And 2, as you said, OD services make the need/want for a pvr all but dead. It may not be dead yet, but it’s on life support.

Lee, what does euro sport have on. It’s a channel we had forever, but one I’ve only watched when abroad on hotel tvs. It’d probably been 5 years since I sampled euro sport.

We signed up via EE, and I think it’s supposed to only work on mobile, but I mostly watch via the windows metro app.

Also once the free 6 months runs out, I think it’s only 5 or 6£ ish, give it had all the euro football, it’s worth it for me.

The metro app is decent, just a normal tv app, but on android (and probably ios) it is fantastic, in the play bar it highlights all the action points that have happened in a game, and you can easily jump back to view, AND you can control the camera angles, a bit like watching hung a goal re play on fifa footy games. As it keeps real time states of the game. Once you use it, you will all other sports experiences lacking in comparison.

I will often have my seconed phone (usually my 6p) to watch the non vital football games, off to one side. Some refuse to watch sport or media on a phone, I think it’s probably the best way to watch most things now. You have total emersion, and a 6″ 1080p or 2k phone from 12″ is like a 70″ 8k tv from 10′.

I know I rarely choose to pit the t but on to watch something. My tv I use for background noise, ie I put twit tv on in the background. That’s about all I use one for these days.

No way, my auntie growing up had a number of small pictures going up the stirs, and behind the glass was a load of small black gnats. Always wonder what they was.

Just grabbed this. Even though I got very stuck on this game for the ps4, on its release.

Also this morning ubisoft emailed me to to tell me I had to redo my pw cos of some strange activity. Probably the first time I’ve logged in there for 3 years. They’ll probably shut me down again for accessing the site twice in a day.

We pay for BT sports monthly by months, via EE.

May be worth grabbing an ee pay n go sim, just to a  get the free 6 months BT sports access.

I’m not a fan of turkey or chicken. For xmas we have beef and pork. I’m not really a fan of pork tbh.

As long as there are pigs in blankets I’m happy. Usually come Xmas lunch I’m hammered, it’s a tradition, so I’d pretty much eat anything tbh.
