Hope alls went well. We’re  having ours  today, as I worked all day yesterday. Though it was still good. got the pressies out the way before 9am, out to work for 10am, and slowly got pickled throughout the day. Home for 11pm. Ate my Xmas dinner in bed from my mother in laws. It was very good. I’d of enjoyed anything by then, but sure it was as good as it felt. And still belated now 7 hours on.

Spending it with the kids tomorrow, then off the pub to watch the game at 8pm. (probably get sozzled again).

Thanks for that. I’ll have to watch what happens, as I rely on last pass alot. I may start looking at alternatives. Just in case

Never a fan of Gboard. If you don’t get a fix, try Swift key, it’s been my go to for about 8 years.

I was just in the you tube app and got an add (strange as they don’t have in app ads) advertising a free Google nest mini. Given I just got a free one about 2 months ago, I thought it would say so when I got to check out.

It didn’t and it let me order a second free one, with free shipping. Due 3rd of Jan.

So keep your eye out, or go and have a look in the Google one redeem page.

Was just talking to my son in Aus, and he said if he doesn’t use a proxy for Netflix he is logged into the Aus version with my account details. So they mustn’t be bothered about geo locking.

My account is the family one so I don’t think Im under any threat of being closed down. It would be nice if more companies was like this.

Lmy lad also said Aus Netflix is alot better than UK Netflix. But I suspect he is finding it better as he has watch most of that he likes on uk NF so Aus NF now seems to have more of what he likes. Or it well be better. But I think it’s the former.

Oh right bob. 8m sure you’ll be fine. We have a family account (iirc 5user account) and it gets used from all over the place.

Atm my lad is in Australia using it via a proxi. Yes super pushing luck. Especially as we are grandfathered into an older cheaper pay tarrif. So if we get kicked it will cost me about 3 extra a month to set a new account up.

Bob, I don’t understand your last point.

” Lots of Utter Dross in there of course. I also have Netflix on my PC and tablet, thanks to No.2 Gson. Don’t know how long they will let that happen though”

Let what happen? Netflix has always been on pc, its where it began, (though probaly the worst way now to watch netfix), And tablets is its bread and butter. Or am I totally reading your point wrong?

I use my phone mostly to watch netfix, even though I have it on all my tvs, via verious boxes. No smart TV in my house. But have one in the pub and that even had amazon prime built in, came in handy last week for the amazon football. Worked great. I heard many fire sticks hit buffering issues, in the other local pubs.

I thought I read a few years ago, all vinal presses are now taken form the same digital source that  cds are, not form the master recording or analog recordings ect.. So in reality there should be know difference at all.

I think it was on a show where Neil Young (I think) was speaking about hi fidelity digital recordings and players.

I recall seeing a number of games over the last few years stating thier bots use AI to learn form your game play. It surly makes the game more challenging.

Given games these days rely on the gfx card mostly, means there is a lot of cpu resorses avalible for the bits to learn. I wouldn’t worry about thd online save aspect. That is for simplicity, and zero friction hopping from one device to another.

Our local suzuki dealer amalgamated with a Hyundai dealership about 10 years ago, when we had the financial crash. Basically Slaters the chain that own all the dealerships her, sold off half the showrooms and the put two makes under one roof.

Anyhow a couple of weeks ago, I did notice the lack of swifts at Teh side of the 5 ways roundabout. I’ll keep a better eye out next time I pass.

This may show out of the loop i am when I comes to cds. But can’t you just burn them on to a disk again using somthing like Windows mediaplayer?

as that gave you proper track nimbers 1234… So you’d just tell the vicor at what point to play what track. That’s what we done at my dad’s, that  was a real cd so we simply said at this point track 6, then track 12, then finally track 2.

Atleast if you make your own cd. You can order them first. Which should take out most  of the possibly to mess up.

There was no charge by this vicor. Also at my wedding in 2008, we did similar. (or wife did similar).

In a nut shell, when you boil it down its To pay to for the right to live inside your borders. Well the borders drew around you.

That’s why I’m not so patriotic, it’s a huge pr stunt to make the plebs (us) want to toe the line and when needed go and protect said borders. Though now we don’t even do that, it’s to go and mess about in someone’s else’s imaginary lines, because then have something we need.

Rub the lines and and work together as one people. That’s what’s eventually needed.
