0.69% of her constituents. Victoria Atkins must be quaking. I mean if they all voted UKIP she’s still have 10 x as many votes as UKIP. If I was a suspicious person I’d think this was a dig at one of her constituents that hangs around here.

If you coloured that map by % of constituents from 0 to 9% they’d still all be white.

Never mind, the total number has nearly reached that of “If England win the world cup, the Monday should be made a bank holiday for 2018”.

Windows 10 is very robust about drivers these days. I’ve accidentally put the wrong hard drive into a different machine and it sorts itself out. Also swapping ATi to Nvidia cards without uninstalling software.

If it runs fine on the integrated graphics then fails with the GPU in I would tend towards hardware issues.

There has to be a transition period from where we are now to wherever we are going to end up. Common bloody sense tells you that.

Beware what you wish for, the backlash is coming and it will come from all sides as this is not what the majority voted for. The Dunkirk spirit will evaporate once reality bites.

So you really think that No Deal is the best outcome for this country?

His wealth will make Junckers look like a rounding error. Some interesting stuff on Steve Baker here http://tinyurl.com/yd79j3gs

And they complain about Labour getting contributions from workers Union subs! But then the Union always put deals they’d negotiated on our behalf to us to ratify, or not. If they’d hadn’t done particularly well they didn’t put it off until we had the choice of accepting it or nothing.

The US president is paid $400,000 a year, plus an extra expense allowance of $50,000 a year, a $100,000 non-taxable travel account and $19,000 for entertainment. Each former president receives the same salary as a current member of the Presidential Cabinet ~$200k + staff costs. So Juncker’s salary seems about right.

Our MPs and PM are far too low, but they all make it up by other means. Which may be why they’re not too keen on restricting Board members salaries as that’s where a lot end up.

Yep, they’ve had their day. I’ve just had a laptop in with one, 8GB of ram and a spinner. Takes forever to boot but it’s only for a simple accounts spreadsheet so it’s been cleaned up and sent out again.

If you’re happy with Chrome o/s then that seems to be the way to go.

Moody’s, S&P and Fitch Ratings control approximately 95% of the credit ratings business, all three have our outlook as negative.

As for the current shower in Westminster doing anything in a timely or appropriate fashion that really is Unicorn territory ?

Yes Les it’s fine with UK voltage. I thing they just cut and paste specs from US sites without reading them.

Have a good root around in the BIOS, there’s some advice here in the Thinkpad Tab https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/solutions/ht071417

Interesting. Intel’s prices have got silly with Pentium CPUs basically £100 this could be a good alternative with the Ryzen 3 1200 in the i3 slot.

TBH I rarely build these days, especially with cracking refurbs so easily available. I see E-Buyer have a AMD Athlon 200Ge 3.2Ghz, 8GB DDR4 + 240GB SSD, No Operating System (£20 W10 Pro + Office 2016 on E-Bay) and a 3 Year Manufacturer Warranty for £250.

If it has a spinner I’d suspect that. Look in Task Manager and see if the HDD is being thrashed a lot. If it is you know what to do – SSD time ?

Lenovo have a white list of wifi cards, if it’s not on the list it won’t work whatever the o/s. USB dongles will always be OK. There are guides out there to put a custom BIOS on it that gets rid of the white list, not had the need (or the cojones) to try it.

Lee started a thread recently about Mint and 5Ghz dongles, conclusion there aren’t any. My recommendation is a TPL WA801ND 300 Mbps Wireless N Access Point £23 at Amazon in client mode. As Mint would see it as an Ethernet connection there will be no compatibility issues and as it is configured through a browser no problems there either. It comes with a passive PoE connector allowing you put place it up to 100′ away from a power socket and it has holes for wall mounting. Twin 5dbi antenna will make the most of any signal.

                                          I absolutely love them.

It’s undemocratic to have another vote but it’s OK for the Tories to run another leadership vote in a shorter timescale. If that isn’t hypocrisy I don’t know what is. The Moglodyte doesn’t seem to get it either. It’s only undemocratic if it goes against your own view.

I wouldn’t be surprised if TM starts talking up another referendum to scare the children of the right. Her Deal vs Remain, no-one could present No Deal as a credible option. The fact that Farage is stirring into motion on exactly that premise tells you quite a bit.
