Yep, you got upgraded to the latest version.
I know it’s USB3 but a memory stick is still way slower than a HDD. At least that’s it for another year ?
Marvellous.
All I can say is that having done the Home to Pro upgrade many times – you can buy the same laptop with Home much cheaper than with Pro installed – it does only take minutes. So something else is clearly going on, it’s not “Windows being Windows”.
Putting any product in a situation it’s not designed for and then calling it out isn’t really a test.
The update to Pro usually takes 2.5 minutes. The differences between Home and Pro aren’t great.
I suspect what you actually did was a major version upgrade and on a slow USB drive inside virtualization I’m not surprised.
I wonder what the technical difference is between front and back and how it knows?
+1
Rather than ctrl-c, does a right click on the selection bring up a context menu with copy on it?
Well the exploit tools are available so there must be a way of doing it.
Way above my knowledge.
Is it Thunderbird? Just tried it in TB in W10 and it works just fine.
Copying the files only gets us as far as the encryption. People I have seen doing this use it to backup the Humax or free up storage on the box.
AFAIK it’s just the usual Linux EXT3 format but the video files are encrypted.
I believe it has a DLNA server built in, I wonder if you may be able to hook VLC into that and have it record the stream to a file.
PayPal will take your side, I know from bitter experience of the other side.
I’ve registered for the heads up from Three. For some reason my part of the greater Bristol area seems to get tech first so cross fingers.
TT FTTC is pissing me off big time now, currently 17 / 3 since I got home on Friday, Three 4G is 33 / 11. There is no point in phoning Three, they will have me taking the front off the master socket again for no reason whatsoever.
Berlin was getting warmer and warmer as the week went on. It got to 28 so the 26 back home today doesn’t feel so bad.
I gave up on this ultra geeky stuff years ago ?
Yes, in the cell and sheet where you want the answer to be, start a formula by typing “=”. Now navigate to the first cell, click on it then press “+”. Keep doing that for all the sheets then press “Enter”.
You will end up with a formula that looks like this: =Sheet1!E1+Sheet2!E1+Sheet3!E1
That really is fast.
Nice one Keith.
It’s been about for years under different names.
The Fire Stick has a version of Alexa in the remote control and you can use an Alexa speaker to control the device.
